I stayed at the Alea Hotel for 10 days and was most impressed with my room which could accommodate up to 3 people, was very clean and very well maintained. The room was fully self-contained with a balcony overlooking the pool area and daily room service. Nikkiyat reception and the staff in the dining room were very professional and most helpful. The price of the room with breakfast, wifi and air conditioning was extremely reasonable. The location is a 5 minute walk to the beach so there is always a sea breeze and is right in the hot spot of Ilaysos so restaurants and shops are at your fingertips. I have no hesitation in recommending the Alea Hotel as an exceptional and friendly place to stay.

We stayed in Alea Hotel for 10 nights in August 22. The hotel is situated on a main road, however, it's a very quiet road. Within walking distance of great taverners, shops and bars. Very close to the bus stop to take you to the airport or to Rhodes Old Town.
It's a quiet hotel, all visitors were respectful of each other, no noise during the night. The room was cleaned daily, to a high standard. Clean towels were left every other day. The cleaners even washed up for us on one occasion, when we left it.
The self catering kitchen area is stocked with all utensils, kettle and a fridge.
The pool area is quiet and well maintained. The reviews have already stated that there is not much sun in the pool area, which suited us.
We only ate in the restaurant once, which again, was lovely.
All of the staff were polite and helpful.
Highly recommended and wouldn't hesitate to return.

I loved my seven day stay at the Alea Hotel. I stayed on a room only basis which was perfect for me as I could try different restaurants each night.
The staff were naturally very nice, and it was obvious they cared for their guests and wanted your stay to be perfect.
The hotel itself was always spotless and the bed was very comfy. The drinks and snacks in the bar area were reasonably priced and I particularly liked the local beer.
Buses to Rhodes Town were a 4 minute walk away and were approx every half an hour.
Would I stay here again? It's a yes from me.

My husband and I have just returned from a week’s stay at the Alea Hotel. It was spotlessly clean with friendly staff and is in a great location. The beds were very comfortable and we were very glad of the effective air conditioning as temperatures averaged 30 degrees. Our room was perfectly situated to see the amazing sunset every night. We were slightly apprehensive as to what we would find taking the Covid situation into account. We needn’t have worried. Everyone had face masks and hand sanitiser was prominently displayed and available In all public areas, including an individual bottle provided for us in our room. We felt so safe, both in the hotel and in the resort. Everyone is working so hard to try and save their season and they desperately need the tourists to return. I was struck by the care that everyone in the resort was taking to ensure they, and we, stayed safe. I would definitely recommend The Alea and will be returning

Just got back on Monday. It was a lovely traditional Greek hotel. Just what we expected. The only slight let down was that the pool area was mainly in the shade and felt quite enclosed. We were there for a fortnight and didn’t witness many people using it. There was no background music and no pool bar, although you could go in to the main hotel bar to order drinks/ snacks. Pool was also freezing. I you weren’t there for the pool scene and just want a good base for your holiday- look no further, it was a lovely place.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Large clean room and bathroom with shower over the bath. The hairdryer in our bathroom wasn’t working properly and only blew cool air. We had a good balcony at the front of the hotel, overlooking the countryside. Although we were above the street, we couldn’t hear anything once the patio door was closed. Air conditioning was 8 e a night but I found it was still needed at the start of October. The room had plenty of hanging and storage space and was serviced regularly.
There was an airy, open plan bar/ cafe where we had breakfast every morning. It was a help yourself affair and the choice was decent enough for a Greek breakfast. We enjoyed relaxing in the sunshine coming through the huge glass doors which were always kept wide open. This area was also good for evening drinks/snacks. There are books of various languages to trade in reception, which we made use of. To summarise, we thought we’d made a good choice in picking this hotel and would like to thank the staff for making our 2 week holiday a good one.

Great location, we were first drop off from airport, close to restaurants shops atm etc. Beach about 10 mins walk ,great for plane watching , pebbly beach but nice tavernas with beds and umbrellas , sea colours were amazing. Bus stop 5 mins walk. Staff at hotel very friendly and helpful nothing too much trouble. Spacious room for two, very clean and cleaned every day alternating bedding and towels ( bit scratchy) being changed . Good bathroom with plenty of toilet paper and soap. Kitchenette had one ring for cooking, under counter size fridge with small freezer bit. No washing up liquid or tea/ dish cloth . Swimming pool area quiet and shade if needed. Taxis very convenient . Would def return maybe not so early in the season ! For the money it was very good value ! We booked through On the Beach !

Nice place to stay, near tavernas, restaurants, markets. A few minutes to get to the beach. The rooms are more than ok for a 7 days staying. The wi-fi is free, the air conditioner is 6€ per night. It also has hair dryers in every bathroom and balcony.

Stayed for a week nice clean room regular linen changing, Friendly staff. We didn’t spend a lot of the daytime in the hotel as we went to the beach each day and ate out in the evenings at the plentiful venues around. But for a base and comfortable place we can’t fault it.
