Everything was great here! The hotel rooms, the facilities, the food! The staff so attentive, friendly, looking after us so well! They are really an asset to this hotel! What I enjoyed most was having my Frappe cold coffee, absorbing the warm sun rays at the fantastic pool of the top floor ,overlooking the Ixian Bay! Thank you all for this great stay and all your hard work!

We booked this hotel a week before we travelled as like many others we’d had holidays cancelled and Rhodes didn’t require quarantine on return. Also we love Rhodes old town which we did walk to in about an hour. We chose a 5 star as thought they would pay attention to safety measures which was generally the case. We stayed bed and breakfast as we like to eat at local restaurants but I would say the majority of guests were all inclusive. We were disappointed that the pool at the front of the hotel had loud music with hard base playing a lot of the time so didn’t bother to get a sun bed there. This was favoured by the younger guests. The pool on the 11th floor was quieter but you had to be up early to get your towel down! Also the road outside the hotel is extremely busy all day and evening so you can hear the traffic noise even when on the beach. The surrounding restaurants are mainly all on the main road too so not ideal. The room was very good , nice and modern but shower over the bath and the wardrobe was open rails. The balcony was close to another building at the side of the hotel which I suspect was the laundry as a humming noise went on all day from about 7.30am. We had a sea (and main road) view but probably because it was early October the balcony didn’t get the sun until 4ish. The restaurant had a lovely outside seating area on the 10th floor as did the bar. The staff in the restaurant were lovely and worked hard to keep things safe. Well done!

Response from Nicos Stergiopoulos, General Manager at Rhodes Bay Hotel & Spa
Responded 2 weeks ago
Dear Tourist27186384948 “kalimera”- Good morning from Rhodes, the island of endless Sunshine, the island that emerged from the Sea, dedicated to the God “Helios”, the island of 2400 - year History, and the crossroad of Cultures, It is such an honour to have welcome you here at our hotel with the new name, from now on Rhodes Bay Hotel & Spa, for an endless summer in Rhodes and we thank you for your warm review and for sharing it with Trip Advisor Community! Considering “Filoxenia”- Hospitality a sacred relationship between host and Guest where its practices and rituals associated with attention, and respect end up to a feeling of homecoming and ritualized friendship, Your rating is so rewarding and motivating, making us feel proud and delighted, giving us the strength to continue the efforts ! Besides, concerned to continuously trying to improve our facilities and the surroundings to make your stays exceptional, creating memories to last for many years, for ensuring this vision and objective, a Team of professionals and expertise on the hotel industry were pulled together to accomplish the renovation project, effective in operation as from April 2019 including renovation and refurbishment of the majority of our rooms, the public places such as Lobby and Reception Area, the surroundings and the Gardens, the main Restaurant and the top eleven Bar and Restaurant. Therefore, your comments on the room you stayed is somehow showing the endeavor has been successful and gives us a sense of delight. At the same time, considering your feedback extremely valuable and important your mentioning on the wardrobe and the shower have already been taken into consideration for rectification! It feels a bit awkward though, that we let you go without giving us the chance of changing your room provided that you had reported it either at the Reception Team or the Guests Relations Manager who are on call service on 24/7 basis ! In the meantime, we are truly thankful for your understanding and trust for helping us ensure that all the guidelines and measures released in the Health and Safety Protocole by the Greek according Ministries, as well as the Internal Protocole and Plan, are followed by the line in order to restrict and even eliminate the spread of the virus to Guests, our Team, our collaborators and the Community, something we have successfully managed so far! Meanwhile, since Food is one of our top priorities and our aim is our guests to be exposed to a wide variety of tastes from the Mediterranean and the local cuisine it is a pity you missed out eating at our a- la- carte Restaurant with the exquisite flavours from the Greek and the Italian cuisines . I do hope, though you had the chance to enjoy the culinary experience of the “Greek Breakfast Corner “certified by the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels serving traditional items with pure, local ingredients such as spoon sweets with yoghurt, cheese pies the traditional rusks or “Melekouni” the traditional, since antiquity, Rhodian honey, sesame seed cinnamon and thyme treat like nougat, originally offered to weddings, baptisms and feasts ! I am truly happy you enjoyed eating at the fantastic Restaurant terrace with the magnificent view overlooking the fifty shades of the Aegean blue of Ixia Bay as well as the fantastic view from the cruise-like top-eleven Bar. In the meantime, it is wonderful to see that that you enjoyed the “luxury” of absorbing the Rhodian Sunrays, from the top eleven swimming pool with the magnificent views and I am sure you indulged yourself in “frapenation” the traditional Greek way of enjoying coffee . I hope you had the chance to swim in the endless crystal clear sea waters of the 50 shades of the Aegean blue at the privately owned beach, which is recently awarded with the Blue Flag for participating in the international programme for caring for the environment, enjoying the convenience of the underway passage for going there! In case you are a diving enthusiast you may have been lucky in spotting loggerhead “Caretta-Caretta” sea turtles, or schools of flying fish, a common thrilling scene in the area throughout the summers! It is nice that you enjoyed the convenience of the hotel location only 4km from the Medieval City, and you strolled in some of the 200 streets and alleys, where the past meets the present the oldest inhabited medieval town in Europe, part of the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Network, and your walk included a visit in the “Castle of the knights”, the Fortification walls, shaped like a defensive crescent, the Museums, Byzantine or Gothic churches or a walk along the most historical street “the Knights Street” ! Once again, truly thanking You for selecting Rhodes Bay Hotel & Spa for your holiday, the whole Team and I are sending our warmest regards and the most positive vibes from Rhodes, and we are looking forward to welcoming you for many more times here, ensuring that you will create more personal stories, filling and adorning Your Memory Box with Sunsets and Memories that you will want to remember for the years to come!! Yours Sincerely Nikos Stergiopoulos General Manager

We were upgraded to a very comfortable duplex suite. The hotel being less than half full because of the pandemic. I disagree with the earlier post about the service. Staff were courteous and helpful at all times . We were well-looked after. The choice and quality of food were both very good.

Arrogance describe this hotels reception, bars and restaurants best. It is not a five star hotel like them I've stayed on all around the world. If it was a five star hotel the personnel in the reception would find a solution to any complaint to satisfied their customers. We were supposed to have one free lunch and one free dinner included in our 7 night stay. We arrived late afternoon Sunday. Monday morning we went to the reception to ask the to make a reservation on the restaurant for our free dinner. They told us that there were no available tables at the restaurant at all the whole week. Neither for dinner nor for lunch. But EVERY SINGLE DAY there was space on the restaurant, both during lunch and dinner. We felt cheated. We booked all inclusive, but it was very difficult to figure out, what was included. Every time we were in the bar area or pool area we could wait hours to be served. Many time we ask the bar personnel to serve us but they said just sit down and you will be served. I have never tried to wait so long every single day to be served when I already have payed in advance. I will not recommend this hotel at all, I wish I could give it zero stars in this review.

We can't fault the hotel on its Covid-19 provisions. Very clean also & freshly updated. Our room was comfortable, well lit with plenty of storage but not luxurious. The main problem was the restaurant. The one dinner we had there was inedible. Breakfasts were OK given the measures they had taken to ensure hygiene. There was a much better restaurant in the 'posh' part of the hotel but it was difficult to get a table & we managed only 2 lunches & 2 dinners. Many of the alternative places to eat in the area were unappealing. It is easy to think this hotel is in Rhodes City. it is about a a 10-15 minute bus ride away which meant eating there in the evening was not convenient.
