Let's start with that I was a bit sceptical of all-inclusive resorts in general before I came here on vacation, becouse I've tried it a couple of times and I thought that it's just not for me, but this year my wife convinced me to give it a one more chance and i have to admit that I really enjoyed it! Everything was good - food, rooms, staff, alcohol and especially animation team. To be honest in the past I had always considered all-inclusive as boring, that there is nothing to do, beside of eating, drinking and laying on sunbeds. From my previous experience I thought that entertaining teams are more annoying than entertaining, but team of Sheraton changed my mind. Martha, Alex and Peter are wonderful people and me and my wife had so much fun during their activities! Our favorite activity was aqua gym with no doubt, what may sound kinda odd, considering that it's very common activity in all-inclusive resorts and as I said before I wasn't really keen on animation before, but the reason why I felt different about aqua gym in Sheraton was Martha. She is incredibly professional, charismatic and beautiful girl and SHE gave the aquagym a soul. I'm really glad that my wife convinced me to go there on vacation. One of the best holidays in the last couple of years. Thank you Sheraton, thank you animation team! Expect us in 2020!

The disappointments started on our first night, when we arrived just before 10pm to find that dinner was closed and indeed had been closed for half an hour! As a guide, I always like to think (and indeed at other hotels, including Sheratons) that you can stay out by the pool until sunset and then get ready for the evening and still have more than enough time for dinner, but that certainly was not the case here; if you left it that late, you’d struggle to fit it in. I understand that they might not want to stay open desperately late - however closing before 10pm is just simply too early. Once we expressed our shock to the reception staff, I thought they might try to sort us out with something for dinner but they seemed totally disinterested. The quality of the food itself was good enough, though there was limited variation at dinner and after a few days, the repetition did start to become a slight mild annoyance. Breakfast range and availability was fantastic. Where the dining was let down was unfortunately in the administrative side: you seat yourself, which led to near-chaos at breakfast as larger parties had to stand around waiting for the staff to become free or make an attempt to sort a table themselves (this was less of an issue at dinner as it wasn’t so busy, but might be something to bear in mind if you go during the middle of something). This isn’t a slight on the staff AT ALL: they worked so incredibly hard and were always so, so pleasant to you and could never help enough, there just weren’t enough of them! (A particular thanks go to Giorgos, 50s, grey hair who was just lovely). The rooms were fine, if not a little dated (like most of the hotel, though to their credit they have tried to modernise): big enough, good air conditioning although the bathroom was quite small, storage was on the poor side and the WiFi did not work in our room without standing half in and half out over the balcony, which isn’t ideal! The rooms, however, were very quiet, which is important for me, so points for that. The pool and leisure areas were concentrated on the 6th floor, which was smaller and the 1st floor, which was much larger and seemed to be where the children’s activities (basketball, table tennis etc. throughout the day, which was a great idea). There were always enough sun loungers on either floor, but consider that the pool on the 6th floor is much colder! Unfortunately, this was also where we got essentially shouted at by a member staff who then had the temerity and gall to argue back and demand the final say, unacceptable and not the attitude you expect at any level. The gym was well equipped but calling it “state of the art” is a bit of a stretch as the Cardio equipment is a few models back, though to be fair, the weight machines are very new. On a number of occasions, I also had to wait a long time for the water to be changed which is not ideal in 30 degree heat outside. There was nothing glaringly terrible about the stay, but compared to the usual standard of Sheraton, Marriott and other five-star establishments, there were just too many little things that added together, bring the resort down.

Shocking customer service... not up to usual Sheraton Standards. Unhelpful concierge! Also the rooms are really old fashioned and the air con units are loud, given you pay premium rates you expect premium service and facilities. We’ve been to Rhodes a few times now and there are much better hotels nearby for the same price.

We had a 10 day stay which was wonderful. Litsa in the restaurant looked after my daughter so well to accommodate her non gluten diet and ensured she was looked after at each meal. A big thank you to also to the beach bar staff and Eleni in the main bar. All the staff at the hotel looked after us so well thank you for making our holiday so memorable. The only criticism I would make is the price of drinks although we were AI thankfully and address the evening entertainment as not many people stayed out on an evening, maybe something more upbeat and engaging may encourage people to enjoy the evening at the hotel.

I’m usually a fan of the Sheraton Hotels and book A LOT for myself and my bosses for corporate & personal use. Therefore My fiancé and I booked to stay in the Rhodes resort for a week in June to celebrate our recent engagement. The swimming pool and outside grounds are lovely, and although our room was quite basic with a loud air con unit, it didn’t really phase us being in a holiday bubble. Then 3 days into our stay an item “went missing” from our room during cleaning. It’s worth mentioning it was the most expensive item in that room. We notified the reception immediately and welcomed a room search immediately, although no one came. We were fobbed off for 3 days with the reception saying it’s likely a mistake and the item can be returned from housekeeping and it most likely “fell into the towel basket” we patiently waited 3 whole days for the item to be returned to us, and checked twice a day with the staff to only get the same response “we haven’t located it yet but it should be with the laundry team or house-keeping staff”. We definitely gave them more than enough benefit of the doubt! Eventually on our last morning before checkout 4 days later, we said we wanted to speak to the manager Gregory - We’ve never experienced such an arrogant & defensive “manager” with such shocking rudeness, this man is meant to lead the whole hotel and be a reflection of their standards - what a poor representation of a reputable hotel. He was emotionless, no apology and even tried saying we didn’t have the item on us during the trip although we showed him the bank statement to prove it was bought at the airport on our outbound journey - which he later validated. After a very long heated discussion I advised I would take it further if the item was not returned or replaced, which apparently is “not their problem or policy”. He tried dismissing us. Naturally we became agitated and loudly informed him that something had clearly been stolen from our room and wasn’t being returned, and explained it’s not ok... we had been so patient and gave them 4 days to sort this or even get back to us and welcomed an inspection the day it occurred. We weren’t even asking for compensation, just for the item to be returned or replaced for the same value. We stupidly gave them the benefit of the doubt that it was an “accident” and would be returned, but this seemed to have back fired and they couldn’t care less. Eventually he offered us a pathetic €15 (NOT the value of the item), after customers around us heard what was happening and looked alarmed at the discussion of something being stolen. He couldn’t even tell us why a mere €15 was offered to us, or on what basis, given the item cost more. Funny how the only thing taken from our room was the most expensive item, and the cheaper items weren’t touched... only when I said this did he change his tune. I will be taking this further and I won’t be using the Sheraton for our corporate bookings anymore either. It completely ruined our engagement trip. Gregory also needs to learn how to deliver good customer service skills and learn how to listen to his customers rather than trying to dismiss us and walk away - we had customers afterwards telling us how badly they thought he spoke to us and handled the situation with lack of care. Shows what you get for trying to be reasonable customers! Do not stay here. We will not be returning.
