Stayed overnight at the Avalon on arrival in Rhodes before getting the ferry to Symi the following morning. Also booked an overnight stay on return from Symi before flying back to London the following day. Avalon is very convenient to the ferry port and is situated in a quiet street only a few minutes walk to the bustling Old Town. Rooms are spacious, air conditioned, clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast served in the beautiful courtyard. Management and staff are welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended.

If you are ever put off old town stays because of bad experiences from noise, you will find this beautiful building is different. It is typical of Rhodes' Unesco listed architecture with spacious and well equiped rooms with aircon that really works. Breakfast is served in the courtyard. The staff really go out of their way to please and help you.

The location- just off the the Street of the Knights, but still very quite, the owner & the staff- helpful, friendly & with a lot of local know-how: from arranging Covid Testing to renting a Private Boat and the shaded courtyard serving a generous breakfast with different local specialties changing on a daily basis. I would go back to Rhodes, just to enjoy their hospitality!

This boutique hotel is a fairy-tale come true, with modern amenities. It's inside the walls of the old city, just off the famed knight's street. When we left the hotel the first evening, two gents in full armor were doing a promotional shoot just out front. The owners thoughtfully upgraded us to a suite, with fireplace and jacuzzi tub. Breakfast was a multi-course, never ending cascade of delicious yogurt, fruit, bread, eggs, pies, and cheeses. You are in easy walking distance of all the historical sites, and the rooms are very comfortable. I would not let any friend go to Rhodes and miss staying here!

This was our second time at the Avalon, my husband and I enjoyed it so much the first time that I just wanted to bring my daughter to show her such a beautiful place. The hotel sits just off the cobbled medieval 'Street of knights', right in the heart of Rhodes old town. When entering you walk over a little wooden bridge which goes over a pond with a turtle and fish in it! You are then facing a beautiful cobbled courtyard set with tables and chairs (as this is where we are fortunate enough to have breakfast every day!) surrounded by trees which give us some much needed shade. The 'Thalassa Suite' provided us with a bedroom upstairs, lots of storage space, TV and superb air conditioning. Downstairs we had a bathroom with jacuzzi/shower, towelling bathrobes and slippers, hairdryer and complementary toiletries. The sitting room had a double bed, air conditioning, fridge, kettle, safe, ironing board and iron and a TV. We had a small dining table and chairs and a small patio also with a table and chairs. I feel that the best part about staying at the Avalon Hotel is definitely the most perfect hospitality received by Despina, Yiannis and family, we cannot thank them enough.
