We arrived to Rhodes Airport on the 14th Sept, 2022 but no one came to collect, we called The Grande Della Rose Hotel- explained our situation to a very angry man at reception, who said there was nothing in their system, and there was no such booking, when we had paid for 7nts stay with breakfast, it said transfers was included with the price! We think the problem was to do with Customers Support- where we sent an email stating, the Time and the date of arrival but for some reason, Hotel Grande Della Rose did not receive it...had tried to contact Hotel 4 times via Telephone but was not able to get through. We paid for taxi to this Hotel...taken to our room..some time later, we was given a Bottle of Sparkling Wine and 2 Bowls of Fruit; and a 3 course Meal, for the inconvenience that had occurred. To be fair and honest, we found All the Staff at this Hotel very pleasant and helpfull and went out of their way to make our Holiday stay, comfortable and pleasant. Special thank-you to Sofia, & her under-manger.. They was both loverly)…

We stayed for two nights at this historic hotel that opened in 1927. We booked a Queen Suite with Sea View. According to the room description, this room type should have had a balcony. Our suite #222 didn't. However, our suite was probably the most spacious suite in this category (74m2). For a longer stay, I would have insisted to have a balcony. Apparently, if you want to guarantee a balcony, you have to book Presidential Suite from the top 3rd floor. The hotel building is very multifaceted and very few rooms have a proper balcony. The interior is very old-fashioned but well preserved. No wear and tear could be seen. The breakfast was served a la carte outside at Garden Cafe restaurant. It was excellent. The service was very friendly everywhere. Rodos Casino is in the same building. After our dinner at Garden Cafe, we wanted to see the pool and got one rude security guard after us. Our stay had a quite good value for the paid 302 euros per night including breakfast and tourist tax.…
In Garden Restaurant the dishes were delicious and the staff was great and kind. And also the desserts were so tasty. It was perfect in every way and we will come again soon. I would totally recommend it.
We purposely booked this hotel for its history and proximity to Old Town, beach and New Town. And we were not disappointed with this. It was a perfect location. We had read previous reviews before booking, so our expectations were tempered prior to arrival. Overall we felt it was worth the stay. The hotel room was a great size and very clean, and bed was very comfortable. The room felt luxurious. As per a previous review, I agree that the lobby did have a cigarette smoke smell, but was not evident at all in our room. The staff were very polite. The hotel was set within lovely gardens. We found the actual casino to be very tired, and coming from Australia, we're not used to people smoking indoors. (Which they were allowed to in the casino). The breakfast dining room decor was impressive, but unfortunately the quality and range of the food presented let it down. Basic things like fresh fruit were not available, and many of the platters looked old, as though prepared a day or two before. It wasn't appetising at all. No eggs or pancakes unless a chef was present, and on a couple of the days, no one was there when we walked in. Coffee and fresh juice were good. We would probably stay there again though because we liked the location, ambience and comfort of the room.…
We enjoyed a perfect dinner buffet at the Amphitheatre restaurant of the casino. This is an outdoor area surrounded by a green "wall". The food was excellent. The variety and the quality was super satisfactory. The environment was ideal for a wedding night. Great experience.
this is a very old building built in 1924. and well preserved . added on a casino .which is the only casino in rhodes. . the hotel staff were very friendly especially the general factotum george. who always had an answer for every problem.
After visiting the casino, we were very dissapointed with the service at the hotel reception. She clearly wasn't interested and after waiting 10 minutes for the barman, we left feeling that unless you were obviously a millionaire, they weren't interested in your custom.
This is a beautiful historic building in the heart of Rhodes town. It so classic clean and tight. It is glamorous! We walked around the premises and the gardens. A monument. Land mark of local history.
A great hotel. The food is fantastic, the rooms are comfortable and the overall service is extraordinary. The only downfall of it is the location. It is very close to the beach and the Medieval city and there are lots of shops in the surrounding area and it is possible to get to these places by foot, yet most of the landmarks of Rhodes will require renting a car or using a taxi.
