Mitsis La Vita hotel garners praise for its prime location with easy beach access and its exceptionally clean facilities. Guests rave about the friendly and professional service, and the well-maintained atmosphere, despite some noting the decor feels a bit dated. While the rooms are celebrated for their cleanliness and comfort, a few travelers mention drawbacks regarding noise, size, and views.
The hotel's amenities generally receive positive reviews, but the pool size and occasionally crowded breakfast area are points of contention. Opinions on value vary, with some finding the hotel reasonably priced, while others question the cost relative to the standards offered.

Detailed Reviews
Stayed 17.06.22 - 26.06.22 on a half board basis in a side sea view room. Had a fantastic time and can honestly say that all staff went out of their way to make our holiday. From Alexia and Pythaga behind the bar, to Kristina and Antonio (and the night time receptionist whose name we didn’t get) on reception to the cleaners and restaurant staff but the biggest shoutout goes to the lady chef in the dining room who “flipped the eggs, counted to five and then had a little jive”.
The pool area was small but beach towels were given daily which you could take to the beach directly opposite the hotel, there was no charge for the safe and each room had tea and coffee facilities. These are all things that we have had to pay extra for in other hotels we’ve stayed in. Evening meals were served in the sister hotel where there is also evening entertainment. We were lucky enough to witness a young guest who sang karaoke who was so good she should be given a recording contract - thank you Kiera you were amazing. We also need to give a mention to the “D Spot” duo whom we saw at both hotels and were very good.
The location of the hotel is perfect, right on the beach and a 15 min stroll into the Old Town and harbour.
The only downside of the hotel for us was the small balcony and the outside seating area (in both hotels) which was were the smokers sat. I would suggest that it may be good to have a little area outside for non smokers especially when it is so warm inside.
Overall we had a great time and would definitely stay again should we return to Rhodes.
Thanks everyone.

The staff are very very motivated, from the lady who is cooking our eggs "sunny-side-up" every day, through charming Antonio who runs the reception, through to the waiters who manage to add personal service even though dinner is on a buffet basis. Our cleaning lady is teaching us Greek (thank you Cuckla!) Our waiters Piangiotis and Georgis treated us like VIPs every day, and Antonio makes the busy dining rooms run smoothly and with personal service. Georgis has been here 24 years! A few tips: Rhodes is windy; don't use the beach in front of the hotel, walk 400 metres north to Aquarium Beach where a calm bay marks the boundary of the Aegean Sea with the Mediterranean. The hotel's marketing is magnificent with clever photography, also of the pool; the downside is rather poor communication when you arrive. You have to ask for everything, from beach towels to check out times and how the phone works; also for keys to the safe. No written document is in the bedroom with information for guests. But you do easily get all the responses with a smile. Magda at the Mitsis booth at the airport was a very informative starting point for us, worth spending a few minutes with her after exiting passport control. As we write we are into our second week, loving everything, just had a wonderful seafood buffet. Efharistopoly to all the staff here.

We visit Greece for the first time, thanks to staff members of that hotel our stay was amazing and we felt like we are at home ,always fresh and tasty breakfasts,we had dinners in Petit Palais Mitsis 5*the same branch hotel,we where overwhelmed of the choices we had every evening ,every day was something different and tasted delicious.
In our hotel room they change towels every day, we got towels when we where going on the beach, also on the day when was raining we got even 2 umbrellas from reception desk.
mostly I would like to thank you to the kitchen staff and ladies who are looking after guests during the breakfasts, very friendly and always smiling ,Lady who was doing pancakes in morning ,my husband always praised the pancakes she was doing .
Hotel was located very near to the beach ,and 15min walk from old town, and all shops and shopping centre,
We gonna come back to Greece for sure. Thank you Mitsis la vita!!
kind regards from Basia &Marcin

Start of with, the location is excellent, lovely beach is accesible just accross the road. If you are family with kids becareful children crossing the road without assistance. Rooms are decent in size and beds are comfortable. Definitely take a full sea view room as view is worth. Now the mix feelings...
Staff- There is a gentleman call Antonio in the reception. Very nice/friendly, such a guest oriented person. Was very helpful recommending local restaurants etc... And thats where nice staff end. The people at the breakfast lobby is not helpfull, 3 days they said we dont have nutella have jam instead to my kids. Pancakes finishes at 9.30 where breakfast runs until 10.30.
Food - Terrible, I had several other hotels shortlisted and chose this due to Mitsis is a big chain in Rhodes. Breakfast is terrible. 1/10 points. no cereal for kids, everyday the same menu, tasteless food. We booked half board basis. for dinner they send us to Mitsis Petit palace. Staff there is nasty. I regret so much choosing half board. They serve kebab, greek salads, and some italian dishes. absolutely tasteless, I had even stomach problems afterwards. There are many good restaurants neaby for decent price. They further charge you for drinks (which is not a problem)
Covid regulations - I appreciate they take precautions. and we found place to be safe.
all in all accomodation is fine, but food is TERRIBLE.

Arrived late at night ...quick check in.
Great Location to beach , new and old town so no issues there
Room was on the small side , well more the bathroom, only one person could be in there at one time , you could touch the mirror and the door to the bathroom with your arms stretched out wide, the room its self was clean and housekeeping did a great job every day, balcony was very small with just two small chairs , with just the smallest of a glimpse of the sea.
Breakfast was good I felt , with a reasonable choice to pick from,it did get a little congested come 9/10am.
Staff were friendly, just one issue was my partner needed and iron, this took two days to find it a bring to the room.
Would we stay there again ......I think I would BUT I would like a room with a slightly bigger bathroom ( if they have them ), and also ask for a room higher up in the building , as if you are put in the back rooms your view is just of another building so not that great.
If you are not to fussed about your room size then I cannot see much of a problem.

Dear Sir or Madam, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your detailed feedback about your recent stay at our hotel. We appreciate your kind words regarding the quick check-in, great location, and the cleanliness of the room. Our housekeeping team works hard to ensure a comfortable and pleasant stay for our guests. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the small size of the bathroom and balcony. We understand the importance of spacious and comfortable facilities, and we will take your comments into consideration for future improvements. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the iron request, and we apologize for the delay in fulfilling this request. We will address this with our team to ensure better responsiveness in the future. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed the breakfast and found a reasonable variety to choose from. However, we apologize for any congestion during peak hours. We will assess our breakfast operations to improve the flow and ensure a more pleasant dining experience for our guests. When planning your next stay, we recommend requesting a room with a larger bathroom and a higher floor for a better view. Our team will do their best to accommodate your preferences and ensure a more enjoyable stay. Thank you once again for your valuable feedback. We value your patronage and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for an even better experience in the future. Best regards,

+1
Modern beachfront hotel with an enviable location. A sea view room costs slightly more, but it is worth every penny to watch the sun go down over the Aegean Sea in the evening.
A free buffet breakfast is included in the price, and served in the La Vita restaurant.
Dinner is good value if you opt for the half board deal. Note that this is served at the Mitsis Petit Palais Hotel, which is on the other side of the street. The buffet dinner was very nice, but drinks are not included so bring some cash.
In addition to the beach (sun loungers are €6 per day) there is a small pool area at the front of the hotel, where guests can access free sun loungers.

The hotel staff can’t do enough for you. So lovely & the hotel is spotless & nothing is too much trouble.
The breakfast is excellent but slightly crowded in the mornings, the Buffett is in a compact space which makes it a bit of a nightmare in the mornings & they could do with more than one coffee machine.
The pool is also in a small area, ok if like us your traveling in the middle of the pandemic so the hotel is not full capacity but can imagine, not so great when the hotel is full & there is only 12 sun beds. You are just across from the beach & if you walk a little further around past the aquarium, you will find a better beach, which is easier to get in & out of the water.
Would have also liked a better day service. We had 2 children & couldn’t get any snacks etc for them during the day & had to go to the local supermarket. It would have been nice to get chips, pizza, Icecream etc.

This is a very good hotel well placed to walk to The Old Town . You are surrounded by supermarkets ,bar, shops and places to see, it is within easy walking distance to the major shops The food was great ,we had our dinner at the le Peti Palaise just about 100 metres around the corner . Our breakfast was in our own hotel with plenty to choose from. There was a themed dinner menu every night where you would DEFINITELY not go hungry. Kosto( I think the captain )was very helpful and attentive This Hotel had entertainment every night except Sunday which was of a good standard. We also had entertainment in our hotel Wednesday and Sunday .We were fortunate to have a sea view room with a French Balcony which I highly recommend although just to warn you it is on the busy promenade but we loved just sitting looking out .
A few words of advice the swimming pool and sunbathing area is quite small but I think that is because it is so close to the beach which is literally just across the road, the charge for a sun bed on the beach was €15 for 2 per day !!! . It can be quite windy here the kind of wind that hurts your hair!! The water and waves can be very strong , we only had 1 quietish day to walk along the beach

Dear Marian, Thank you for taking the time to share your positive review of our hotel. We are delighted to hear that you had a very good stay and found our location to be convenient for exploring the Old Town and the surrounding areas. It's great to know that you enjoyed the proximity to supermarkets, bars, shops, and other attractions. We're glad that you had a great dining experience and enjoyed the variety of food options available, both in our hotel for breakfast and at Petit Palais for dinner. We're also pleased that you enjoyed the entertainment offerings during your stay, both in our hotel and at the nearby venues. It's always our aim to provide enjoyable experiences for our guests, and we're glad you had the opportunity to enjoy the performances. Thank you for your advice regarding the swimming pool and sunbathing area. We understand that the pool area may be smaller in comparison to the nearby beach, and we appreciate your understanding. We're also grateful for your insights about the windy conditions and the strength of the water and waves. These are important factors for guests to consider when planning their beach activities. Once again, we appreciate your kind words and recommendation. It was a pleasure to have you as our guest, and we hope to welcome you back in the future for another enjoyable stay. Best regards,

We booked this hotel through on the beach and were very pleased with it.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Particularly the male receptionist who seemed to work the afternoon / evening shift.
The rooms were spacious and clean. With good working aircon. The only slight criticism would be that the balcony is somewhat small. It’s a square shape big enough for just about two people to sit down. This is not the end of the world but a slight shame when you pay extra for a balcony.
Breakfast was nice, with a good selection. Although I think they need some new heat lamps for the hot breakfast. The food was served buffet style, and was often quite cold by the time you got to your table. But the fresh food and pastries were delicious. Plenty of local produce it seemed as well.
The location of the hotel was very good. It’s slightly away from the busiest parts of the town so there is less noise. But the old town is only a short walk away.
I, like a few others who have reviewed this hotel, would suggest you walk around the top of the island to the beach on the other side. It’s only around a 5 minute walk. The beaches on that side of the island are less windy and have more amenities like shops and bars nearby.

This hotel may be a little bit tired but the staff are amazing and happy to assist with any questions.
All toiletries provided are organic, the shampoo is fantastic.
Pool towels are gratis, which was really useful as our towels were full of sand and sea water after 2 days.
The initial room allocated to us was quite small so we asked for a another. This was no problem at all and our cases were moved for us to room 508. The house keeper who looked after our room was very friendly and always courteous.
All staff at this hotel are lovely and very helpful.
The chef prepared my husbands eggs as soon as she saw him knowing exactly what he liked.
The pool has sun from 1pm to sunset which suited us as we went exploring the beautiful town in the morning.
We would highly recommend this hotel on the service received from all staff. Thanks for making our honeymoon relaxing.
