I stayed here for the last week of September with my boyfriend. Having read all the 5* reviews, I had high hopes of this hotel but wished I’d paid more attention to the other lower star reviews so I wasn’t as disappointed. The hotel is at best 3 stars. The first room we were given was behind the lifts, with paper thin walls and a balcony you could barely walk on. Not to mention the blood left of the mirror and the broken bath tub that was 30cm from the bed in plain view of the entire pool. The rooms where bright and modern but certainly not 5 stars. I had requested another room with a walk in shower due to my disability, and the staff where thankfully accommodating enough. The second room was smaller and had a beautiful sea view, however the seal on the door was broken which created a whistle during the high winds and kept us up during the night. The food was below average, served Luke warm everyday, microwaves provided to ‘heat your food’. I don’t think this is safe reheating meat for a third or probably fourth time. There was not as much variety as people state in other reviews. I would usually eat salads whilst abroad but you could see it had been left out a while before it was even served so it had tied and oxidised and was not appealing at all. The quality of the food was very sub standard and even the equipment was poor. One of the toasters did not work very well and the condiments stand was not filled up well meaning when you wanted sauce you had to stand and wait making your already cold food, even colder. We did intend to eat in the al la carte, but having trusted the reviews a little too much and quality of the buffet food being so low. we decided against it. Drinks where also average, they had Prosecco which was nice, the wine was not nice and the same cocktails where served different every-time and beer was often flat. However this was half expected. The hotel is by the beach but with a noisy dual carriageway in between, thankfully there was a subway. Beach bar was a nice addition although the sun beds and parasols on the beach where very run down. Overall we had a lovely holiday in Rhodes but I would not be returning. Lots of lovely restaurants to enjoy just a short walk away. In particular Tamam and green stories which were less than 15 mins walk away.

we once again enjoyed a stay at the Rhodes Horizon Resort for 2 weeks. only minus was the balcony door which was always blown open by the strong wind the first few days because the lock closed badly. This was eventually repaired by a mechanic after reporting. our thanks also go out for the good care at breakfast and lunch to Joanna, and at dinner to Stella, both ladies were nothing too much and were always equally friendly. such a shame that Joanna was often alone during breakfast and lunch, the most help was always in the middle part where they were more often serving with three men. also a compliment to Silvana from housekeeping who always surprised us with her towel creations, not to mention Nikitas our lifeguard at the beach.

The hotel is very clean and very clinical. Our room was in the 2nd building first floor. The room itself is quite small but ok, the bathroom was good with an excellent shower, the beds are super comfy and the a/c is brilliant, there is however a severe lack of storage for both clothes and suitcases once emptied. The hotel has 3 pools the main one is best but gets busy the smallest pool is very quiet maybe because only 6 sunbeds get any sun all day. The beach is the best place to spend time always a sunbed and brolly to be had and the girl on the beach bar is super nice and friendly. Please note i highly recommend taking some water shoes as there is a 10 metre strip of deadly pebbles between the sand and water. The entertainment was on the whole pretty good with the 3 el divos been fantastic unfortunately they are stuck in the main reception / bar area which has more pillars than the acropolis so only half the people can see anything the rest have to watch it on cctv. The drinks are again pretty good and you may find the odd strange tasting drink (gin) but will find something you enjoy. The food this is where i cannot understand the high scores on some reviews and i also know there will be a lot of people working hard to produce the amount of choice on offer but i am afraid its not good most of it is cold and tasteless but the biggest thing of all i do not want to be eating all the stuff left over from the previous meal just disguised in a sauce etc. The staff are all hard workers and never stop but there is definitely a different standard of service dependant on group size and nationality we sat in in the same area (the corridor over looking the front of the hotel)for 10 days almost and the waitress never spoke once but she was efficient clearing the tables. The size of restaurant is no way big enough for a hotel of this size and it is total unorganised chaos. I would not like to speculate too much why so many people give 5 stars but its maybe because its an adult only hotel and the type of audience that attracts.

This was our 2nd visit in 4 years (covid cancellations delayed our return). We weren't dissapointed. See view (Rd can be noisy at times) the Rd did not effect our stay though. Room very clean with a massive bed, stocked fridge, shower over bath, lots of storage space, free safe and bejùe balcony. Daily sunsets are stunning. Has 3 pools, a massive main restaurant with choices to cater for all. The al la carte restaurant is also available nightly, but does require pre-booking. Also has a beach bar and free beach sunbeds. Other facilities- gym, sauna, ping pong, pool table, French boules, darts, water polo, aqua fit twice daily. Evening entertainment was a little hit and miss. Some people may be a little put off by the handful of cats around the pool and iotside bar area. However, we didn't mind them and they weren't a bother to anyone. The area is good, with a lovely coastal or inland walk to the old/new town. Would we return for a 3rd visit? Without a doubt. We absolutely love it

We came here in October 2019 for our anniversary, liked it so much we booked for the following years(all cancelled and rebooked due to covid).Lovely hotel, kept beautifully clean.the first week we were there, september 16th,the wind was so strong, not nice at all.it calmed down the end of first week.vast selection of meats and shellfish, shrimpes, mussels if you are not vegetarian. My husband was ok as he's not veggie, but I found it difficult as there was very little vegetarian.one night there was spinach pie which was nice. We noticed there was not many English people here like last time, mainly Germans now with the towels on sunloungers at 8 am The staff are friendly, helpful and we had a lovely room on the fifth floor overlooking the beach.Luli who cleaned our room was excellent and a lovely person Joanna in the dining room at breakfast and lunch was so helpful and friendly. It's not far to walk into Rhodes town not around the coast, but cutting through the streets.on the downside, don't go on the hop on bus, total waste of money.A trip to Symi, well worth it.The weather was very hot after the winds and we went into the private beach that has a lovely bar.as I said,it's a beautiful hotel all inclusive adults only

I'll start with good things: The hotel looks very nice and has an absolutely great location - close to the beach, near the old town, close to restaurants and shops or pharmacies if needed. The only minus of location is that it is placed on the west side of the island Which is way more windy than the East side. Service on bars, restaurants and rooms is also great. Everyone is kind and helpful. Also the receptionist from the 'bottom' reception ( second building under main dinner) was very helpful. Now the decent things: Food is ok, it's nothing special but I guess everyone can find something good for your own taste. Soups are good, and the Rhodian corner is nice, especially meatballs from this corner. I would say that there is no point in expecting something mind-blowing in an all inclusive kitchen where you have a couple hundred of people to feed. There is also a la carte restaurant that needs reservation. The food is really nice there, again I had better meals in stand alone restaurants, but the meals were tasty, the service was polite and it is a much nicer way of eating than an open buffet. The animation team is very cool and the entertainment program can be enjoyable, but the issue is that hotel don't have much space for it so if you don't reserve place you can't really see much. Another thing, during our stay i noticed that there is little to none cameras on the object. Fortunately they were not needed, but if something would happen there would be probably no hard evidence of it. Now to the worst part: The room was just bad. We paid for a superior room with a seaside view and we got a room (#51) on the ground floor right to the hotel entrance with a balcony next to the leisure area. So... technically you can see the sea from the room, but most of the view is the hotel entrance, pool, other buildings and people sitting, drinking and smoking cigarettes. Again room on the ground floor, where almost everyone can look into it from the outside. Another thing was AC which was going full blast all the time, no matter what was set on the controller. AC was very strong and it was pointed directly to the bed, so the cooling effect was so strong that I literally had to cover myself to not freeze. Next thing, doors to the room are not tight enough so the light from the corridor is getting to the room all night which makes it harder to sleep in. Another thing, once again the room is near the entrance, reception lobby and bar, so one night I was woken up at 4 AM by some screams from the hotel staff. Therefore 'superior' in the room name is quite a big exaggeration. And last thing, after the entire week we got a call from reception to take our towels from the balcony railing. And the only explanation we got was "it's not very nice" and "this is a hotel with policy". We were asked to move towels to the inner railing of a balcony, the problem was that this side of the railing was dirty. Now, I don't mind policies. But if a hotel has one why were we not introduced to it on our arrival? And why some policies are executed and others don't? There is a policy of a dress code for the restaurant area and I've seen a bunch of people in swim suits, and others cloaths not matching this policy. Another policy is not to reserve/block pool beds with towels and I seen lines literally lines of People in the morning waiting for pool to be open, leaving towels and going for a breakfast or to do something else in result half of pool were towels sunbathing not people. If this is a hotel with policies I believe all policies should be applied and they should be applied for all guests.

Joanne gave us very good service in the main restaurant. We had some lovely meals in the al-a- carte restaurant with lovely staff. Was very disappointed with the fact that people were putting towels on beds before 10am. Having Stray cats walking through the restaurants was a little off putting as they are more than likely to have fleas.

One in particular stood out for us her name was Joanne she worked in the dining room, she was very attentive to everyone always very friendly and always remembered what people liked and even where they liked to sit. The manager should be proud of his staff it made our stay even better.

Very good and clean restaurant and room and very friendly people. Accoustic in hotel bad, especially at night with music very noisy. Beach very windy. Stretchers and parasols at the beach outdated. In swimmingpools perfect and clean.
