We have just returned from our annual visit to Cava D Oro in Rhodes. The hotel is now run by the daughter and son in law of the original owner and they have kept up the friendly family atmosphere. The attention to detail and service, such as clean linen and shower curtain each day is exemplary.
They really make you feel welcome and help with any problem guests might have.
An addition this year was the table and chairs at the front for guests to relax and soak up the characterful atmosphere of the location.
We hope to return for many years to come.

We missed the ferry after three bottles of wines in Elli Beach and we got here with the help of Elephant Moto Rental Shop 💙 just opposite to ferry harbour. They had only one room left I guess so we got he smallest and humid one, Cave Room. The humidity is not only because of stones it is because there was no fly net on the window so we didn’t want to open it. (it opens to the roof so any bug could come in)
The location was the great, closer to everything. It is family management hotel, clean and everything with a good open buffet breakfast. The check out time is 12:00 when in all otner hotels are 11:00 so I liked it since the bottles and ferry “incidents”. 🥴⛴️ We can stay here again only if the room is little bigger or same room with fly net and quiter fridge engine.

When you chck the old ğhotos of the house/hotel and when you see now it is very easy to understand how much money and efford they have put in, great work, great chinaware and terracotta work (stone work), thank you to you all. 🙏

For our first trip abroad after COVID-19 and since March 2020 we chose to go to the Cava d’Oro hotel in Rhodes. We were very pleased that we did. Having studied the photos and having spoken to Alexia and George before we went we had high expectations and we were not disappointed. They were the perfect hosts - welcoming (from the airport), helpful, knowledgeable and professional. The hotel is a little gem, perfectly located for the port, excursions and the old town and impeccably clean (thank you Elli).

We loved it so much that we changed our travel plans and came back to the Cava d’Oro after visiting the islands. We had a birthday and a wedding anniversary while we were there and everyone made a special effort to make them enjoyable. Well done Alexia and Elli for the artistic towel creations!

Thank you Alexia and Georgios and not forgetting Birgid. We look forward very much to our next visit.

Amazing staff and fabulous hotel.

That is the only statement that sums up this hotel. The owner George was so kind and friendly, he picked us up at short notice from the airport and later also took us to the ferry port after our 1 night stay. His wife was also lovely and they both did everything to make the stay a pleasant one. The hotel itself is beautiful, full of character and tastefully furnished and it is of course situated within the old town city walls. We will definitely return and this hotel is thoroughly recommended.

We have just had another wonderful stay at this hotel. It is full of character and charm and the buffet breakfast is very tempting. The family who run it are always very friendly and helpful but this year particularly so with our problems with testing.
We can highly recommend this boutique hotel so close to the bustle of old Rhodes Town but in a quiet location.

Friendly family hotel in the old town and 100m from the harbour. The staff were incredibly helpful. We stayed one night and when we returned to Rhodes, in the morning one week later, they allowed us to leave our luggage in the foyer, until our late evening flight. They also organised a taxi. Outstanding!

A perfect place in the old town. Owner and staff fantastic, helpful and polite. Stayed in junior suite, room was amazing with private sun terrace and patio area. Great location history all around you as building is set into walls of the medieval city.

What a wonderful surprise we found when return g from the beach on my birthday. Once again the personal attention at this delightful family run hotel in a quiet part of atmospheric Old Rhodes Town was second to none. We hope to go back again and again.

Very nice place in the old town but not in the crowded and commercial streets (5mn walking from the centre).
Tiny but nice room with balcony, air conditioning and tv. The personal is very kind and very helpful. Good Breakfast in the courtyard.

really excellent hotel in Rhodes. Management is very friendly and accomodating, owners speak English. The rooms are quite historical and funky (but nice funky). Hotel is quite clean and the breakfasts are good. It is a small family run hotel. We stayed there for several nights in July 2002 and throughly enjoyed ourselves. Location, in old city of Rhodes, can't be beat.
