The Rhodos Horizon Blu hotel is celebrated for its impeccable location close to the beach and old town, making local attractions readily accessible. Guests commend the modern rooms and cleanliness, although some report occasional noise and cleaning inconsistencies.
While the hotel's vibrant atmosphere and entertaining options are highlights, others find them to be sources of disturbance. The hotel's service and amenities receive mixed reviews, with compliments on friendly staff but frustrations over additional charges for essentials like air conditioning and sunbeds.

We booked to stay in the rhodos horizon resort and when we arrived they asked if we would like to upgrade to have a room in the rhodos horizon blu hotel with a sea view ( free of charge). You also get a welcome drink of Prosecco after checking in which is a fab extra! The hotel is lovely and very modern. It is always in perfect condition and the cleaners are amazing. It is in a good location just in front of the beach and a 10 minute walk from the old town and new town, the old town is a must!
The rooms are nice and very comfy beds, there’s a safe and air con which was free of charge for both. We struggled with space in the room and had to keep some of our clothes in the suitcase but this was only a small issue.
It was cleaned daily and towels/bedding changed regularly. The bar in the hotel was great with loads of cocktails to choose from ( all included in the all inclusive ). We visited at the end of season so the bar was practically empty every evening but I can imagine it being busy in the summer.
The best thing about this hotel is the pool snack bar! We discovered this about 3 days into our holiday and were thrilled. The pizza is amazing! You order what you would like from the menu and it is made freshly in front of you.
The pool area was nice, the pool is very cold though.
We had our evening meal across the road in the 2nd building of the hotels in the restaurant. The food was okay for me, there was always something I could find but I avoided the meat. I can be quite fussy with meat and a lot of it was fatty and on the bone. My boyfriend enjoyed it though. There was not many veggie options though.
The beach bar/ area was lovely, lots of sun beds and they serve some sandwiches down there for snacks a long with drinks.
A few days before our last day the reception lady called us over and asked us if we would like to be transferred to the main building of the hotel across the road for the last day of our holiday ( as we had a very late flight ). We could have a room there for all the day and check out whenever, this was free of charge. We had a lovely room with a sea view we could store our suitcases in and use how we liked, which made the end of our holiday. The staff go over and beyond in all of the hotels and can not fault any of them. Thank you so much! Would definitely recommend this hotel!

We booked Rhodes and the hotel Rhodos Horizon Blu after having to change our holiday originally booked in November.
The hotel seemed in a good location, about a 25 minute walk to the aquarium along an attractive seaside promenade which carries on to the old harbour, tourist harbour and Old Town.
We upgraded to seaview rooms and late checkout both of which were great. A/C is extra as is the safety deposit box, I think we paid something around €62 for the week.
We arrived off an on time TUI flight at around 2300 after booking taxi transfers through the TUI website, £54 return for 4 adults and 4 bags, taxi was prompt and same on return.
Check in was smooth and Anastasia at reception soon had everything sorted out.
Breakfast was a huge buffet, everything from Greek salad to ice cream all fresh and tasty. I never ate the hot food so can’t comment on that but the fruit, yoghurt and bakery was all great. We found the hotel very relaxed, along with eating in the restaurant you could take your breakfast to the bar/balcony area which offered a sea view. The lady who stands out most there is definitely Eirini, she was there every morning and always chatty and quick to clear tables, always smiling! The restaurant seemed to be well run by the manager, Vasillis , although we only had breakfast.
Our room, and in fact the whole hotel was spotless, clean towels every day and if you wanted extra no problem, in fact I can honestly say this has been probably the best hotel in being relaxed with items like beach towels, easy to collect from reception and removed by housekeeping no queuing for ages etc etc.
Every staff member we came across was friendly and accommodating without exception!
I would definitely recommend the Rhodos Horizon Blu if you want a nice hotel walking distance to Rhodes Old Town. If walking not yr thing it’s only €7 in a taxi!
I’d like to add there’s so many good restaurants in the area we were never disappointed but my favourite was Loot about a 5 minute walk from the hotel, the food was excellent as was the family who ran it!
Thanks again, we had a great holiday!!

250 rooms and two tiny lifts to service these people
Small pool area, limited number of bed and not enough for size of hotel
Breakfast, always cold or Luke warm at best and it’s like the running of the bulls. You can sit in the bar to eat we suggest you do that
If your room is away from the lifts it will take all day to be cleaned. No storage space in the room. Only one small wardrobe not big enough for two people for two weeks.
You have to pay €7 a day for the Air conditioning remember this is a 4 star hotel ??????
Safe is €35 for two weeks and is the smallest safe in earth.

Thank you for your review and we will note down the points you mentioned, that need to be upgraded. We will try our best to fulfill them and we hope you give us another chance next time. Regarding the number of sunbeds around the pool, we can't have more because of Covid regulations.

Overall, the hotel is in a perfect location for access to the new town and old town which we walked to each day.
Pool - Something to be aware of is that pool area is tiny for the size of the hotel, we didn’t manage to get a sunbed anyday of our week holiday which resulted in us having to pay for loungers on the beach and other hotel pools. It seems that you’re allowed to put your towels on loungers and head off for breakfast leaving them unattended so others cannot use them.
Food - We had breakfast included in our package and can say that I’ve never had so much choice before at a morning buffet, so much choice! The buffet gets extremely busy in the mornings at around 9ish so we tended to wait until 9:45 to even venture down there.
Room - The room is really clean and quite modern. Sheets and towels replenished everyday. The bathroom shower is very small so when you’re trying to move or perhaps shave your legs you have to open the shower doors to be able to stretch your leg.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted with a smile and complimentary glass of champagne/fizzy wine upon check-in and I thought 'this is going to be such a great place to stay!'. That's kind of where it ended! Not sure if it's because we were not half board or all inclusive (something offered to you if you speak with reception) but we did not seem to be treated with a friendly smile and "kalimera" in the morning during breakfast, and if I'm honest, felt a little like second class citizens!
The buffet breakfast was ok and the selection vast but could have been better with fewer dishes of better quality. Don't expect a full English! There are a LOT of different nationalities staying in this hotel, prodominately Dutch and German from what we could see.
The room seemed very small with very little storage space. The TV in the room catered for German guests. The sheets on the beds didn't fit the mattresses and the pillows were uncomfortable. If you sat up in bed the whole bed tended to slide down and leave a gap between the bed and the headboard.
The bathroom was ok however the walk-in shower was tiny. I couldn't bend down to shave my legs put it that way! And the walls are paper thin! I swear the guy next door snoring every night needed to seek medical advice, and that was WITH ear plugs in my ears! The whole hotel is tiled floor to ceiling, so you can hear the room above drop a pin.
Glad we paid extra for a sea view room.
A 4 star hotel with 2 star rooms more suited to one night stop over than a holiday of a week or more. There are only 2 lifts in the hotel which are very busy at peak times and are tiny. We struggled to fit 2 people in along with our suitcases and we're not obese.
The pool area is small considering the size of the hotel and there is only a certain part which gets the sun all day. People were putting their towels out at the crack of dawn and this was in October. Luckily we still managed to get a sunbed regardless of what time we went. I can imagine it being a different story during peak times of the year though.
There's a little cocktail bar opposite the main entrance to the hotel which does lovely cocktails. They have lost a lot of business due to all inclusive hotels and its such a shame. I love going out to different places each night but there are not many places to go. Check trip advisor for nearby restaurants. Carne was absolutely gorgeous!
There's a bus stop nearby where you can pay €15 each and it's an all day hop on, hop off service. We used it to get our bearings of the local area. You can jump off at the local marina where there are plenty of different boat trips you can book.
There is also an excursion shop a couple of mins walk away from the hotel where you can book all sorts of trips.
It was a nice relaxing holiday but not somewhere I'd stay again. I'd prefer somewhere with a little more nightlife.

Hotel was nice very clean staff accommodating. Hotel pool area small . Lifts only 2 in the hotel and can only really fit 2 maybe 4 if your lucky. Restaurant at breakfast was good lots of variety but no free cold water only juice and tea coffee. Air conditioning in rooms they charge a fee of €7 a day to have this I really think this should be added in to the price of the hotel I have been on alot of holidays and have never been asked to pay for aircon as a extra. The beaches across from the hotel are dingy and pebble lots of rubbish on them but if you walk about 7mins up along the road the beaches get better near to rhodos casino. The old Town is about 15-20 mins walk from the hotel you have the harbour and the old town is nice to walk round plenty of craft shops and restaurants . Around near the hotel about 5 mins walk you can get to lots of restaurants I found same prices as uk for eating out and the drinks more or less same price. Quad bikes range from €60-€80 a day depends where you go these places for these prices are round near the hotel. Overall not a bad hotel enjoyed our stay

Arrived late on Wednesday 3rd, friendly check in and was directed to the dining room a sit was about to close so unexpectedly was able to get some dinner.
Food is plentiful and an absolutely huge choice, as with most buffets the temperature of some of the dishes is on the cold side. Fantastic desserts.
The staff in the restaurant are absolutely amazing, we had someone with us with mobility problems and they always made sure we had a table that was easy to navigate to and from, special shout out to Irene who went above and beyond with her help.
Lunchtime we ate at the pool bar/cafe, a good choice and all well cooked, large portions and reasonably priced.
The rooms are very modern, ours had free air-con and fridge, the bathrooms are ultra modern and include shampoo, shower gel, hair dryer and a magnifying mirror.
Beds and towels were changed regularly.
The pool area was quite crowded but we always got a sunbed despite a lot of people “reserving” beds despite signs saying not too.
If you arrive at the pool mid day then you will probably miss out.
The pool bar has a large choice of alcoholic and soft drinks, again reasonably priced.
The only negative I have is in the evening the main bar is chaotic, there is one server ( who is lovely) who comes around to take your order ( there is no service at the bar) then it’s prepared by one of the bar staff, then it is brought to you, one occasion it was 20 minutes from sitting down to getting a drink!
The location is fantastic and a taxi ride into Rhodes old town takes minutes and costs about €8.

Situated just back from the sea front on the northern perimeter of Rhodes new town this recently renovated hotel is good value for money. Our room though basic was exceptionally clean and styled with flare. We had the comfort of a small balcony with table and chairs overlooking the sea and sunsets. The room offered everything we needed, the bed was comfortable with towels and linen changed each day, the shower was small but did the job. We did think the 20€ charge for a safe key and the 35€ for a late checkout were excessive and should have been included. The included breakfast buffet offered something for everyone. The pool was small and like the nearby beach became very windy. The sea was too choppy for us to swim in and there were advisory notices to take care, we did enjoy strolling to the next settlement on a lovely coastal path, used by many for early morning runs.
There is plenty to see and do in the old town.We walked several times to the harbour and old town via both the promenade and the new town, a walk which took us about half an hour. There are several very good restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance of the hotel. There is also a nearby taxi rank with set prices to the island’s many attractions.

We spend a holiday withy fiancé in this hotel and we recommend it with all our hearts!
Comfortable rooms, equipped with everything every person needs, towels, bathrobes, the minibar is replenished daily. Air conditioning works flawlessly and from our room you can see the sea :) The location of the hotel is very good, 15 minutes walk to the center of Rhodes, old town and many monuments.
However, the biggest plus of this place are its employees, starting from the nice lady at the reception to the ladies who clean. Especially noteworthy is the barman Stefanos, who makes the best drinks, Tolga, who serves the best food as we have eaten, and the portions are so large that it is a big challenge to eat everything, and all this is served by Mika and Andreas, who are always so kind and smilling. Thanks to such people we will want to come back here.
We are at all inclusive stay and we really feel pampered in every way. In addition, we can use the neighboring Rhodos Horizon Resort hotel, where there is a lot of animations during the day and in the evenings. Everything is at a very high level, I recommend staying here!

Thank you Vasilis and Irene for the very nice service at the restaurant. Incidentally, a very nice hotel in a good location. The only thing I can complain about are the pillows that were crazy too high. Also make sure to remove all bath towels as guests reserve the sunbeds for several hours before using them.

Hi no iron or ironboard in room 421. I think you could ask in the reception about to borrow some. But i am not sure!
Hi,
Sorry for my very late replay, and most likely unuseable now. But yes - you can use all the pools, bars and restaurants.
Rommene i 1. etasje og oppover har terrase, men ikke de fire-fem rommene som er i kjelleren.
