Travelled to Rhodes as part of our summer vacation in early July. Super easy bus ride from the airport for €2.60 each. Bus stop located right outside the front exit of the airport and drops you off a couple of blocks away from the Pearl. Save yourself an expensive cab ride if it's not in your budget. Found the Pearl hotel online and read the revues. They all seemed fair and inline with what you would expect given the condition and age of the hotel along with the price you pay. We compared the price points with other hotels in the direct vicinity. The pearl is definitely budget friendly given its amazing location. The staff is absolutely awesome and always up for great conversation and service. The Pearl is located in a fantastic spot minutes from the beach. It is a budget friendly low cost alternative to the more modern hotels in the area. Walking distance to everything and anything you could ask for. The Pearl itself is old and showing its age. She's very tired and has no doubt passed her time. This is not a problem as long as the price point reflects this and rest to sure it does. You will pay 3 times more for a modern hotel in the area and you have the same access to everything, ie beaches, restaurants, sun, sand and fun. The staff, service and location makes this a five star resort with respect to pricing. The rooms are small including with the bathroom. One person at a time is about all that will fit. Again, going back to price point this is what you get for budget friendly. No issues with any of these. This hotel received a two star rating for one reason and one reason only. No matter how much you pay for a hotel room health and sanitation is paramount. The washrooms smell of sewage both in our room and in the main lobby bathroom. When we showered the bathroom drain would back up sending sewage onto the floor. It smelled horrible and we could do nothing about it. Even when not showering I lifted the drain cover in the washroom to find standing dirty grey water. We informed the front desk staff and said they would take care of it. The entire property has to be updated with new plumbing to solve this issue. Free is too much to pay for a room with sewage coming out of the floor and the smell constantly lingering. We had to sleep with the bathroom door shut. Unfortunately should we return to Rhodes we won't be staying at the Pearl for this reason and this reason only. There is no doubt there is bacteria floating around everywhere. If you can overlook this issue then the Pearl gets a 5 out of 5 with respect to pricing. The staff really do the best they can with what they have. Couldn't ask for more.

I initially booked for two nights but decided to stay for a further three. A very comfy double bed in a very clean room. Housekeeping were brilliant every day. Nice towels, good bathroom. There is even a balcony to allow you to take in the night air. Air con worked a treat. Very impressed with this hotel, great value.

We had such an amazing time in Rhodes & at Pearl hotel. Rooms are cleaned everyday, the common areas as well. Breakfast is good and there is so much to choose from. Rooms are nicely decorated & you can see they are newly refurbished. The staff and especially the manager, Mike are really friendly and eager to assist. Location is excellent, just in the center of Rhodes. For a 2 star hotel, Pearl gives more than we expected and is strongly recommended. Thank you for everything!

This is an excellent budget hotel with great location. It is surrounded by restaurants, next to the supermarket and very close to Elli beach. It takes a 10-minute’s walk to the port and the Old town of Rhodes. Rooms are small, but clean and comforatbale with everything needed: air-conditioning, wi-fi, fridge, TV and a balcony. Hotel has a lovely bar overlooking the street where breakfast is served in the morning and where you can have a drink throughout the day. There’s a happy hour where you can buy two drinks by a price of one, but I’m not a fan of coctails, so I haven’t tried it. Music is great.
