Probably the hotel had some refurbishing works since the terrible reviews below, but to me it seems as an acceptable budget option. Reasonably clea, splendid location between beaches and the old town. Five fridges filled with drinks in the lobby are much cheaper than in lokal supermarkets. Rooms are just fine for this price bracket
Well, really not much to say other then this was probably the worst accommodation I ever stayed in. Hygiene and looks were initially not that bad but the more days we stayed the worse it got. Squeaky and uncomfortable bed, bugs crawling on the terrace and inside the toiled once, same bad and boring food... I know this is a budget option hotel but still we expected at least something good. Room 1/5 Food 1/5 Staff 3/5 Location 4/5 Basically as you can see I'm giving it a 2 stars due to the location only... Otherwise, if you don't have to I recommend to stay elsewhere.
In spite of so many bad reviews, our vacation was great. We were on second floor, it was clean and good for two star hotel. Our room was cleaned every three days, and towels were changed. Breakfast was the same every morning but dinner was nice (different food, a lot of salads, ice-cream). Reception is the unlikeliest thing in the place, pretty old, but we don’t have time to spend it here. Pool is small, kids like it. We have the air conditioner for free in our room. Also the place where the reception is air conditioning. Wi fi is only close to the reception and around the pool. Signal is bad in the evening, when everyone is online. Hotel is on the best location in the town, beach is close, pedestrian area is very close, a lot of restaurants and supermarkets. Rhodes is beautiful, a lot of interesting things out of the main town. Butterfly Valleys, Valley of Nimfas, Kalithea beach, Tsambika monastery, Ladiko and Anthony Queen beaches, Faliraki... Beatutiful island, great nature... All in all, hotel is pretty nice for the money we paid.…
In spite of all bad reviews we chose this hotel because of its great location. And we were surprised a lot. The room was simply furnished, but clean. Our bed sheet and towels were changed after 2-3 days at least. The bathroom was big enough, only the the shower enclosure was very tiny. Our balconi was fairly spacious. We could see the fortress of St. Nicholas, at Mandraki harbour, from it. The staff was very friendly and nice! Only negative thing on this hotel, were the breakfasts. Srambled eggs and salami were of strange taste, I took it just once - as well as the coffee. There was a possibility to have tea or orange juice to drink. There was only one kind of baked goods - a bun. I have never seen a bowl of butter, to slice off my portion! The first day we didn´t know, what it is:D On the contrary, dinners were very tasty. We appreciated a bottle of mineral water per one room as a part of each dinner, for free (as well as a glass of wine or juice per person)!…

My friend and I stayed in this hotel for 10 days in July. We are 25 years old and we are not searching any luxury, so we booked this one and thought it will be okay. On the plus side, hotel is on great location and everything you need is very close (old town, beach, bar street etc). Rooms are small but functional. There were only one socket. Garbage is taken everyday but sheets and towels weren't changed once in our 10-day stay. Hallways of the hotel are very dirty, so hygiene is a big problem in this hotel. There is a free wifi in the hotel lobby but it doesn't work most of the time. Water is either too hot or too cold so taking a shower is a real challenge. :) Food is not too good but acceptable, breakfast same all the time, hygiene in the restaurant also questionable. Manager of the hotel is very agressive and rude person. He sleeps in a hotel lobby and one night we came in a hotel at around 2am (for which I consider is normal time for young persons who are on vacation and going out) and we woke him up when we came in. He was annoyed and called us "bloody idiots" for which I think is very unacceptable to call guest of your hotel who leaves their money there. I would like to notice that we are not making any noise, talking or were drunk and we are decent girls who are not searching some wild vacation, so there was absolutely no excuse for his behaviour. I have never left any bad review, I am not searching for any luxury in a 2 star hotel, but only things I am looking for is a hygiene and polite staff and this hotel doesn't have that. Anyway Rhodos is a great place for vacation and bad hotel didn't influence on our vacation and we had a great time! :) …
I was in this hotel for 10 days with my family. We choose this hotel because of its price and recommendation from some friends. The location is exellent ,the beach is 5 minutes away, the shopping area is also 5 minutes away , and old town is close . The food is very bad most of the time , breakfast is always the same , old bread , feta cheese , regular cheese , bad salami , nutella [ only thing my kids ate ] , milk [ very weird taste ] , juice etc. . Dinner was better , we always had fries , the salats was always the same , soups were ok . Only desert was ice cream , every day diffrent taste . Rooms were small , bathroom was vrey small . In bathroom we didn't have shower curtain so wather was eveywhere . IN the room were one king size bed and one bunk bed , we also had little kitchen . Terrace was small and not functional . In the room was only one socket . Rooms are not clean . Our room wasn't cleaned for 5 days . Our towels not changed for 5 days . The ladys who clean the rooms also searve food and cook . Plates are plastic , and sometimes were a couple of dirty ones .. The man who works at the recepcion is a bit lazy , he just sits and smokes . You have to leave your key on the recepcion and when you leave it , you have to put it on its palce on the shelf, also when you whant to pick up your key , you do it your self. So anyone can pick up your key..The wi-fi is free , but it's so slow and most of the times you can't connect .The city is so beautiful and the see is nice . See is a bit cold , but nice . Beach is nice , we didn't pay for sunbads [ one is 5 euro ] . Because we din't have lunch , we ate giros . But we had good company , so we had a lot of fun .…
After reading many bad reviews I was prepared for everything...but i was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and specious. Because we arrived with a baby we got a preferencial treatment at check-in. Wooden baby cot was already prepared. We had half-board. The food was served in a form of bufet. Breakfasts were very basic. I missed eggs which were served only once. Dinners were better, more choice and all food was tasty. Everything was within easz reach. Restaurants, the harbour, beaches.. If you want a five star accommodation, dont stay in this hotel. It is a two star hotel and you get exactly that. we had a wonderful holiday!
We stayed here a couple of years ago, food the same most days , restaurant not too great. Pool area clean , staff not all that friendly reception staff were quite rude, lots of Russian clientele too which the hotel staff took preference in serving , they had every nation flag out side hotel but no English flag asked where it was got told it was stolen , the town very quiet not a lot to do in general wouldn't go back there , wasn't worth the money better off in a bed and breakfast
If you can overcome the poor, very basic and undemanding conditions in the "restaurant" (plactic plates, selfservice on tray (yes, you also have to clean the table after meal), and the retro style bathroom it is a great basis for a nice holiday. Location is fantastic, and the hotel has some other good values: free wi-fi in the lobby, plenty of hot water all the time, electric mosquito device, fresh towels and cleaning every day, good selection of tasty food and a bottle of mineral water for dinner, balcony (small, but still it is a balcony where you can dry your beach towels), small kitchen with refrigerator, aircondition, sound proof balcony door (no extra window)... and Rhodos is wonderful anyway!
