Our family of 6 traveling with 4 teenagers ages (ages 15-19) stayed at Zacosta July 2021 for 9 nights. John welcomed us and made us feel like we were family arriving home to this peaceful oasis in the beautiful and magical Old Town. Zacosta's location is excellent as the area is quiet in the evening and daytime but a short walk from shops, restaurants and nightlife. Our teens could easily and safely walk from Zacosta to areas for shopping, to get an ice cream or to walk to the beach. The hotel is nestled in the medieval city and is centrally located. Within a short walk you can reach the marina for daytrips to Symi or hire a private sailboat, or walk to Elli beach for an amazing day of swimming and lounging in the sun, or walk to the New Town for restaurants and shopping. We cannot say enough kind things about John's hospitality during our stay. He was so friendly and anticipated our needs and was available to help out anytime! John knew exactly which pastries my teen boys devoured at breakfast and brought more for them each morning. John recommended the best restaurants and helped us with our transport to the airport the day we left. My family was sad to leave Zacosta after our time there. This was the best family vacation we have had together and I cannot thank John and his staff and Zacosta for being our blissful home away from home. We will absolutely be back!

We had a warm welcome from John after a fairly late flight from the UK & his generous hospitality continued throughout both of our stays which book ended a week In Kastellorizo, 3 nights in total. Zacosta is so comfortable; you can’t fault the rooms, location, price, vibe & most of all John’s expert hosting. It’s an oasis in an unspoilt corner of the old town & John really is a natural at this; we travel a lot and all felt very much at home here, as well as immersed in Greek culture through our conversation. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a stay at Zacosta & will be back ourselves for sure. 10/10 from parents & teens alike. Marco Polo & Mezzaluna restaurants are close by & wonderful.

We were absolutely delighted with our 6 nights at Zacosta! The owner, John, is such a good host: helpful, calm & willing to transport you & luggage from the port to his hotel! The suite was beautifully cleaned, spacious & comfortable. Tea & coffee making facilities were readily available, he even bought me a box of my favorite tea! The cleaner was cheerful, flexible & even taught us a little Greek! The breakfast was plentiful: cereals, fresh bread, croissant, pastries, ham, cheese, fruit, yoghurt- everything needed to start the day! The courtyard was charming & smelled of lavender. We often sat in the courtyard & sipped our drinks & played a game or two in the evening. A delightful little place, nestled in the heart of the old town, a real haven, I’m so glad we found it.

This is a wonderful small boutique hotel set inside the amazing medieval city. The building oozes class and history. It’s comfortable and stylish, and very welcoming. Please note that cars are not allowed inside the city walls and the cobblestones make it difficult to wheel luggage. However, the owner will helpfully collect you from a city gate in a buggy, if you let him know.

My husband and I and my brother and his wife had the very good fortune of finding this amazing small hotel in the Old Village on the island of Rhodes, Greece. The small hotel is intimate, friendly and because of its size (6 rooms) you have the privilege of socializing with people from all over the world. The hotel is in the middle of all the action and within walking distance to the amazing sights of Rhodes. The owner, John Pedlidis is both professional and entertaining and generous with his knowledge and amazing hospitality. If you ever have the good fortune of traveling to Rhodes, this hotel- right here- is a MUST. Thank you Zacosta. We will forever remember our stay with you.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Zacosta; the location is very convenient, the hotel is small but comfortable enough, the breakfast is sufficient, the service is indeed excellent, especially Mr.John comes and meets you at the Port to take you to the hotel, the pricevis reasonable so if you choose to stay at the old Old City Zacota is the right hotel.

We booked one night in this hotel following our flight from the UK and before travelling to Symi the next day. It is a beautiful hotel with excellent service. John’s communication on the best way to get from the airport and what to say to the taxi driver so that he could meet us on his golf buggy and take us to the hotel in the old Town was fantastic. Our room on the ground floor was great with lovely bathroom products, bath robes and beautiful bed linen. John couldn’t have been more helpful recommending restaurants and following a lovely breakfast the next day, taking us, with no additional charge to the port on his gold buggy. John and the staff provide excellent, happy service and I can not recommend this hotel enough. The one negative is that we had only booked this hotel for 1 night. This place is a must if you are travelling to Rhodes old town.
