I all started off so well. Arrived just before midnight was greeted by Denis the owners son. Shown to my room and well that was that. Next morning I noticed quite a lot of ants in the bathroom so I just washed them away! Went out for the day when I came back there were more. Definitely had an ant problem. Then I asked for air conditioning (€30) and it didn’t really work a cool breeze at best but least it kept me cool at night. The owner said she would get her son to sort it but never did even said I was doing it wrong, makes me laugh really but is what it is. Then overnight I couldn’t close the hot tap properly it was very stiff. I woke up in night and noticed it was dripping so I attempted to close it again. Next morning the owners accused me of leaving the tap running all night. Firstly it was a drip and second maybe 3 hours. A genuine accident because they’re taps are faulty. They told everyone at top their voice. From then on I felt uncomfortable. Going back to the ant problem I decided to buy some bleach and clean the bathroom myself. That stopped it and in honesty that’s all they needed to do! Simple fix! The room itself was shabby, dated not clean but not dirty just needed someone to give it a good blast. Balcony was nice for sunrise. The pool shabby with beds around I don’t think they’ve spent time or money on it in years. The gardens would be lovely if they weren’t over grown. There is one big plus was an extremely comfy bed which I why I stayed. And for €22 a night well you can’t grumble that much can you. It was an experience and I won’t go again but I’m glad I tried somewhere different. This is my opinion others may see it differently.

We needed a budget, pet friendly hotel. Arriving by bus, we could not find the hotel. We walked a kilometer, only to be told the property was at the bus stop. There, the faded hotel sign is hidden behind bushes. The manager told us everyone comes by car with GPS, so signs are unimportant. The hotel pool was closed. The property is overgrown with palms and flowering plants; nice, if managed. In general, the property has boxes and furniture everywhere, making for a poor first (and last) impression. The beds are unpadded box spring mattresses, stiff and uncomfortable. The kitchenette is a sink, 2 electric burners and a moldy refrigerator, replacing a broken built-in still in the room. Pots, pans and dishes are limited. The mismatched furniture is not “BoHo Chic,” but “Thrift Store Décor.” The cramped bathroom shower, without curtain, overlaps the sink. Water sprays everywhere. Wi-Fi is off during rain storms. No television. The sliding glass door to the balcony functions as the only window. It has no insect screen. Consequently, our bedtime ritual was a “search and destroy” bug hunt. Mosquitos won. No heater in the room. The tile floor is cold. This unpleasantness is compounded by the frequently wet floor of the bathroom. A foyer sign promises room service, but the listed items were not available. The property listing says restaurant, but we found none. After a major storm, water flooded the lower rooms. The building became dank and musty.

If you prefer quality ,stay away. Not value for money.Dirty rooms. I think these apartments are only for tourists who do not look for quality. There is noise too, because there is a highway in front of them.

WELCOME TO HELL - OPEN THE PHOTOS AT YOUR OWN RISK The start of our holiday at Dolphin was not promising at all: we couldn't even find the entrance, due to the lack of signpost, and when we finally got in there was no one around to welcome us. We had to call the hotel's phone number to wake up the owner (bare in mind, it was 10 am) who eventually came by with a out-of-the-bed look (not to say more). She was admittedly kind but she looked confused the whole conversation, she couldn't even locate her own hotel where she lives on the map she handled us. I can't understand how she lost her orientation on the same map she gives to every customer, she managed to read it upside down even if there's the sea to clearly understand the right orientation, but anyway. When we finally were introduced in our room, the situation was abysmal. Everything looked old and very dirty, as if the owner didn't clean the room not only before our visit but in the last months. There was left over garbage in the drawers. Even the blankets looked like someone already slept in there. There were ants everywhere, even in the bathroom. We couldn't manage to stay in the room as it was and we had to buy cleaning products in a near supermarket and clean the room by ourselves before touching anything. You can clearly see the situation of the room in the photos, and keep in mind we took these pictures after we made the cleaning (and I assure you we tried our best). The bathroom in particular looked like a horror movie, with hair everywhere and broken furnitures. Everything looked like it was badly painted twenty years ago as the painting was partly detached, revealing the dirt under it. The shower has no curtains so when you have a shower (if you're brave enough to shower in there) the whole bathroom gets flooded. The little manhole supposed to drain the water from the bathroom is extremely dirty (nsfl picture included) and is also placed on a higher level than the rest of the floor, defeating its purpose. After just one shower, the bathroom is flooded for days. In the main and only room, there were old and broken furniture as well, in particular an old and not working fridge that is just left there to rot (there's another, newer but not so cleaner, fridge in the room that at least works). Beware the electrical sockets: they fall out from the wall if you're not careful (the epitome of safety). The room at night gets very hot (at least in August). There's air conditioning but you have to separately pay for it. The first day we got to use it because we found the remote control in a drawer and we didn't know it wasn't free to use, but the owner the next day took it away when we were out without telling us anything. We wouldn't dare to eat anything here, but even if we would have wanted to have breakfast the owner just wouldn't show up before 10 am at least, we never saw her before going out in the morning. There's a pool, it looked clean from the outside, but again after all we experience we wouldn't dare to have a swim in there. The only good thing about Dolphin's apartment is the cheap price: the worst expended money or our lives, nonetheless.

Lovely little place, run by a amazing family. They will look after you, like you would be a member of family. Customer service on the highest levels :) friendly and welcoming, very helpfull. Hotel is quite small, very nice swimming pool area. Very basic rooms, but for that price, you cant expect more... guesthouses in India are more expensive. There is a small additional charge for air-con (like everywhere in Greece), walking distance to the beach 15 mins, big supermarket 10 mins away. Very good restaurant just on the other side of the road. Will definitely come back.
