I was really worried after reading all the negative reviews and upon arrival in the middle of the night I was really hesitant as the reception area isn’t the most welcoming. We arrived after thunderstorms and the room we stayed in the first night by reception was cold, dark, damp and smelly with rain coming through part of a wall. After speaking to the manager he didn’t hesitate in moving us to a much better room in the new block with a pool directly in front. Rooms are basic but it didn’t bother me. No it’s not a 4 star hotel I’d say a good 3 star the staff are outstanding all really friendly. We all enjoyed the food mainly due to us all being mums and not having to cook! If I had brought my children they wouldn’t of liked any of the food so it would of been an issue. Great location right on the beach lovely walks. Bus on the main road we went to Rhodes town day and night, the springs and Lindos. We had a great holiday loved every minute thank you to the hotel staff who work really hard. If you’re by the restaurant bring earplugs as the cockerel is very vocal at 5am!…
Location: couldn’t ask for a better spot in faliraki and right on the beach! Food: was awful didn’t eat one full meal in the week we stayed there. Had to eat out for every meal not sure if it was because it was end of season but it was the same cheap horrible slop every time. They do not cater for everyone to the point there wasn’t even chips or pizza for fussy Kids/Adults. Bar / Snacks: Soft drinks we’re vile knock-offs and honestly you couldn’t drink them. Sometimes had nice rolls for snacks but very hit and miss. Room: very basic nothing special. Shower was freezing cold in the mornings from 06:30 through to 10:00. The shower would flood the entire bathroom and into the room. The wall and shower divide is to close to the toilet so once sat you couldn’t move your arms. Not the hotels fault but next to the hotel is a bungalow with a dog that would bark all night and all morning as it was left out all night. I would return just for the location but it would be on a room only basis.…
If the hotel was a 2-3 star I would have rated it good, but for a 4 star I am expecting much more. Few of my complaints: Only 1 bar open past 10pm and both bars have VERY limited choices. Shower enclosure is terrible and just leaves your floor soaking every time you use it. Could have been cleaner in the rooms; I don't think our floor was swept once while we were there and there's no broom to do it yourself. I personally thought the food although a tad repetitive was OK, but several in my group with special dietary requirements struggled. If you have fussy kids you will definitely struggle. One thing that did frustrate me was none of the food was labelled so you didn't know what the meat or sauce was in most cases. Rooms were overbooked so we were unable to change when we were given an inappropriate room, so I ended up sleeping on a bunk bed meant for kids. As they were overbooked, we could not get a late checkout either. We really needed the late checkout as our transfer was not till 7:45pm and there are no proper shower or changing facilities elsewhere in the hotel. There is no secure area to leave your luggage; you have to leave them in the reception lobby or there are lockers you can pay extra for that will fit hand luggage only. You had to pay extra to use the secure box in your room. You have to pay a deposit for a beach towel. No locks on the toilet doors poolside. Small vanity thing, but a full length mirror would have been nice. Some positives: All the staff we encountered where very friendly and helpful. Plenty of sun loungers and they are very comfortable. Iron was available with small deposit. Decent number of hangers for two people (~9) Decent sized rooms Despite having to double up the mattress on my bottom bunk bed, it was a relatively comfortable mattress.…
Let me give your the positives first. Location is great. On the beach lots of free beds. 5 minute walk to the bus for the cheapest transport to Rhodes Old Town, Kathelina Springs (I will do another review for this) and a short walk to get the bus to Lindos. The Falaraki strip bars, restaurants and shops is minutes away on foot. The hotel is spotless and the staff are all very nice and happy to help. Bed was comfy and the shower when warm (around 6pm) was great. AC was great on the hotter evening. The down side to this hotel is that is not a 4* hotel. The room is very basic. The shower is freezing in the morning. The food, OK so I had read some bad comments about the food so I thought I was prepared for the worst. We arrived on a Saturday at 3:05 food finished a 3pm so the receptionist advised to have food from the beach bar. This consisted of a not so cold fridge with ham and cheese rolls and a few apples that had been in direct sun all day. Environmental Health would have closed this down. We tried the dinner the fist evening g and ate out the rest of the week. Lunch was a lite better with a lot more salad options. Beer was loc and lovely, wine was like paint stripper. Tried a cocktail at the beach bar which wasn't too bad. This hotel should just pack up the food and do self-catering only. We got a good deal for the week but if people are relying on the food here I'd think again. We had a great holiday but it wasn't ecause of the hotel unfortunately 😕 …
DO NOT BOOK. They are over booking rooms and will ship you off to another terrible hotel, most likely the Evita Elite. Check the reviews on that hotel. The Evita Bay is nice, if you get to stay there. After being shipped off, and after a lengthy argument with the Operations Manager Nikolas, he put us up in the hotel 'next door'. Evita Bay is a nice place. Pools are nice. Only 1 bar and the food gets a bit monotonous. The reason for the one star review is that on the day I was complaining about being sent elsewhere there were 8 other families with the same complaint. They blamed internet holiday companies selling rooms they 'didn't reserve'. Not the holidaymakers problem, until you get there.
After seeing a few of the recent reviews, I was at first slightly worried regarding this Hotel but decided to arrive with a completely open mind. Yes there was a few things that were not perfect but the odd issue we had was resolved immediately. The Food was great, thoroughly enjoyable, the only small issue and I emphasise SMALL was some of the food which I enjoyed I was not sure, what it was, there was only labels on a few of the Item's, was it basic? Certainly Not , again only a very small issue, some of it got a bit repetitive. The Room was clean and tidy not immaculate like a palace but certainly very acceptable, the housekeepers always spoke even though some of them did not speak English which meant a lot. The Location was perfect, very close to the beach and the amneties were also very good. I have always said that what makes a great Holiday is the staff, The Staff at Evita Bay were Also helpful and always willing to go above and beyond wherever needed, special mention to the Lobby Barman always smiling and at our service also the lovely lady that runs around the restaurant making sure all the guests are happy, and especially we have enough beer Ha Ha. A special mention must also go out to the Manager, always making sure the guests are happy doing whatever he can for you and also being very prominent around the whole hotel, very approachable gent. The Staff must be commended for their service and helpfulness at the end of what I am sure has been a very busy season, proffesianlism until the end. I hope you all enjoy your well deserved break at the end of the season. We will be back, not sure when but when in Rhodes, Evita Bay is the place to be :) Thank-you to you all Keith & Su…
My husband and I booked Evita bay hotel for our silver wedding anniversary, it looked amazing and we were so looking forward to our first holiday without kids! On arrival we were put in a taxi and sent to Evita resort as we were told Evita bay was overbooked! So so disappointed with alternative hotel, it was filthy and in dire need of refurbishment! Nowhere near the beach as opposed to Evita bay having its own beach, staff were rude and severely lacking any customer service skills and with a water park on-site far from the relaxing 4 star experience we had paid for! Evita resort was at most a 2 star resort! Very upsetting experience for us both especially as we certainly didn’t get the holiday we were expecting and had paid for! I never ever write reviews but after seeing so many people suffering the same as us I felt I should tell anyone thinking of booking to seriously AVOID!!!!! 😞…
May I start with what a beautiful location from the beach to the beach bar, the restaurant, the pool and the general cleanliness of the place I could'nt give a negative on this. The Staff were lovely and very friendly. Food was repetitive but cooked fresh each day. Hotel rooms spotless, fairly basic but comfortable bed and good shower, don't spend too much time in the room so once these boxes are ticked I'm happy and we had a beautiful view of the sea. Location was a good 10 min walk into Falaraki however there are bars, restaurants and shops to ramble into on the way. The bar at the top of the road called JD do great food and beautiful cocktails. I loved Bar Street with its variety of bars and shops but get out of dodge from around 11pm as the young people come out to play. There is a great Irish bar Kellys at the top of Bar street, lovely beer garden and good prices and also a fab cocktail bar (don't know the name) but there is a very large bronze figure of a man at the entrance you can't miss it!! My only gripe is we had read all the reviews about arriving and been told to go to another holiday I was stressed about this which effected the build up of the excitement you get before a trip and by the time we arrived after travelling from Dublin I was wound up so much that when she gave us our room keys I was in shock as I was so ready for an argument. So would I book this place again or recommend it based on this probably not which is a shame as we had a fabulous holiday The feedback we got from other groups who had been moved was if you have booked more than 7 nights you may have an argument on your hands so be prepared!…
We had a holiday booked through loveholidays at Evita Bay for the week. Unfortunately on arrival we was told that the hotel was overbooked so was moved to another hotel, Evita elite. We explained we was unhappy with the hotel they had sent us to as we booked Evita Bay as we loved the location and wanted to stay at the hotel we booked. We spoke to the hotel manager and owner who were extremely helpful and apologetic and they were able to find us a room in the hotel just behind Evita Bay, Faliraki Bay. The staff at both Evita Bay and Faliraki Bay were so accommodating and helpful and even though we didn’t have a room at the hotel we originally booked we had such a lovely time as we was still able to use all the facilities at Evita Bay. Evita Bay was so beautiful and the location was perfect with the beach and shops right on your doorstep. We want to say thank you to all the staff for making our experience so amazing despite the issues at the beginning of our holiday, they really are a credit to the hotel and really do deserve the recognition for all their hard work. Once we were settled in Faliraki Bay our experience completely changed we had a wonderful holiday and felt extremely happy and comfortable at Evita Bay. I would definitely recommend booking Evita Bay I would just say book directly with them rather than through loveholidays. Thank you again ! x…
With all the reports of over booking I was pleased they managed to honour our booking. They proudly said we were in the new block but didn’t tell us it was in complete. The room had no safe (it would be there tomorrow it never arrived) phone didn’t work, no mirror or seats in the room . There were two cheap seats and table on the balcony. There are no fire precautions. Smoke alarms don’t exist. No extinguishers or fir hoses. The block we were allocated had an entrance at one end. It was the only way in or out!. The rooms would be OKAY if they ere finished. Shower room poorly designed. Everything gets wet. Room service needs to be better. Food is repetitive and average quality.. Bar drinks are very basic and I’m being generous mostly serve red in plastic cups. The hotel is a TUI hotel which surprised me but I think it is only on the German website. Staff are surprisingly helpful and happy to help despite the daily complaints. There are several bars and restaurants in walking distance which are worth visiting. Four star this isn’t . More two…
