We recently stayed here for a week from the end of September to October. we was only 20 minutes away on the transfer from the airport (first stop too) When arriving we was told we had been upgraded to a family room, which was great. The rooms are nice and clean and spacious. The only downfall for ourselves was the food, but that’s down to personal taste, there’s not a wide variety but this differs from person to person, we are both equally fussy and not down to try new things, so majority of the time we ate out, but that wasn’t a problem atall, as we made up on the all inclusive with the drinks (cocktails are amazing!!) There’s a lovely man and lady at the front reception who are very welcoming, all staff are and cleaners also! This a family run hotel which is different to what we are used to but it’s not any different as they have made it feel like a home. During the day around the pool is very quiet and relaxing however we did come at end of season for them so I can’t comment on what it would be like during there summer. Strip is about 15 minutes walk with some lovely restaurants to visit, we’d recommend Steve’s bar, JD bar, and along the beach we visited naya and the restaurant next door. All amazing. Thankyou to all the amazing staff you have been wonderful and have been very accommodating

Recently stayed here, have to say I saw a few of the reviews on a couple of sites which swayed me a little but after staying here the staff are more than accommodating, the hotel is lovely and clean. Free air con, wifi and fridge in room. All inclusive is a dream. The food was lovely although not much choice but please bare in mind this is a family run hotel and cannot compare with massive corporate hotels. The holiday and hotel was an absolute pleasure!

We visited this hotel for 10 days and we had a lovely experience. We read the reviews before visiting and was a little worried but there was no reason to worry. Room - we were in a beautiful family room with two balconies. The room was modern, easily accessible by the elevator and very clean. We did have a problem with the bathroom where the floor became quite wet after a shower however we did not contact reception because we have visited Greece a lot and it is a common problem all round. We put towels down to dry the floor, or the cleaners mopped this away. Cleaners come every day between 9-11am apart from Sundays. Location - a 10 minute walk to the main strip and roughly 15 minutes to the beach. A stunning beach and a lot to do on the strip. There is no shop on site however there is a shop 2 minutes away, John & Mary’s, where you can get everything you need. The bar does sell water (we were told this after we carried 12L for 20 minutes to the hotel!) so definitely buy bottled water from the bar instead of carrying it. Food & drinks - the food was good. The foods not used were usually reused at the next meal. I saw bad reviews about this but it is good to see that the hotel ensured little food went to waste. Drinks are all local products and soft drinks are accessible by dispenser. Overall, very good for a 3*. Before we went to the hotel, the reviews stated a lot about blue and orange wristbands. We thought this was perhaps an English divide like reviews questioned however throughout our stay, we noted that orange bands had a larger option of drinks compared to the blue bands. Blue bands received minimum, local options whereas orange bands could drink brandy, gin etc and the €2 cocktails throughout the day for free. It seems like orange bands pay more for the hotel. Staff - The staff are friendly and make you feel like a part of the family. Dimitiris, Savvina and Petrit became more like friends and always had a smile, regardless of the insane amount of hours they work. If you ask for anything like bacon at breakfast, they will try their hardest to get what you want. The reviews state a lot about ‘a man sleeping on the sofa in reception’. This poor guy works nearly 24 hours a day and only gets to sleep whenever he gets the chance in between guests arriving. He works constantly alongside a female receptionist, no wonder they are exhausted. The staff work very long hours. My advice would be to take the reviews with a pinch of salt. Its a lovely hotel with friendly staff. We look at returning for another 10 days soon.

Just returned from a lovely holiday in Faliraki at Tsampika Hotel. First impressions weren’t the best, we arrived at 1am, and were greeted by a dark reception and a man (who turns out to be the manager) asleep on the couch, (which turned out to be a regular thing). Eventually another man in a stained polo shirt came and greeted us. Due to being used to staff in uniforms or presentable clothing, this took us a bit by surprise. We were then tasked with finding our room in dark corridors using our torch, so not the best start. Aside from this, when we did find the room, it was lovely and stylish, and we had even been upgraded to a family room, but made it clear that if a family came who needed it, we would be downgraded again. When we woke up the next morning, the atmosphere was totally different, really friendly, busy and a lovely outdoor area and pool. The staff were really friendly, they weren’t wearing uniforms but it is a little hotel. We noticed we didn’t have wrist bands on but everyone else did, so we went up and asked at reception, and we’re given orange wrist bands, while most other guests had blue. It seems that English people get orange, as a way to tell us apart, a little bit odd but hey ho. The all inclusive food was okay, although limited selection and not much for those with dietary requirements, but as expected for an all inclusive. All inclusive drinks consisted of ouzo, beer, wine and a small selection of cocktails which were available after 6pm. All inclusive stopped at 10pm, but the bar stayed open after, meaning you had to pay. The hotel and grounds were lovely and clean, the only thing i can say negatively is that the taps in the bathroom on the shower and sink were a bit grimy, and there was a strange open top grate in the bathroom which wasn’t the best, but other than that it was spotless. Our room was cleaned 6 days out of 7. On the last day, we paid extra for a late check out, but the cleaner came and knocked on our door 20 mins before we were due to leave claiming that they needed to clean as they “needed to go home”. We left €5 out one day accidentally and it was taken by the cleaners, but i know this was our fault for leaving it out. There entertainment was limited, with aqua aerobics a couple of days. There was a poster for a kids club, but we didn’t see much evidence of one. They advertised bingo one night, but were told it was only in polish, we were a little disappointed by this so they managed to translate into english for us. Facilities wise, there is everything you need, you do only get one key though, which is a little tedious as you can only use air con and electric with the key in, so you cannot leave anything on charge, and if one person wants to leave the room the other is left without air con. When we were leaving, we asked 2 days in advance if we could have a late check out, as our transfer to the airport wasn’t until 9pm. They asked us to come back about it the day after. We did, and they told us to come on the morning of check out and ask. This kind of hindered us, as we had to spend the last night packing for an 11am checkout, as we didn’t know if we had an extension or not. Overall we had a lovely stay, and the hotel had everything needed for a girls holiday, and it was as expected for a 3 star.

Very poor hotel experience. Extremely bad customer service. Staff and owners are rude and so far from serviceminded. The food was not great at all and the same dishes were served over and over. A lot of things need to be repaired, incl. air condition. The beach is great but the distance is 900 m not 600 m. We will never come back.

My boyfriend and I arrived at 1 pm and were greeted by an unfriendly old man and his wife, who I presumed to be the owners. Without asking us our names he just put orange wrist bands on us and sent us out for lunch. We immediately noticed that the majority of people had blue bands on and not orange… we were told that this entitled us to “more drinks” but after checking again on trip advisor, many people suggest that this was a way to single out British people. With one glance at the diarrhoea looking disarray of food choices I knew we were in for a rocky week. The breakfast was average, with a mediocre choice of “meat” (if you can even call it that), fruit and pastries. However, lunch and dinner was abysmal. Brown, sloppy concoctions of mushy veg and meat (that was always tough, chewy and laced with fat i may add), fish with bones, nothing was easy on the eye. The only thing you could rely on was the fresh salad bar, French fries and plain tomato pasta served in the evenings. I have NEVER gone to an all inclusive and come home having LOST weight. However, the choice of fresh fruit was always okay. What really made the experience worse was the cleanliness of our room. We were there for a week and our room was only cleaned ONCE and that was because we had to ask the owner. Our towels weren’t being changed and we were met with a rude, almost angry response when we asked the owner for clean ones every evening, as-if we were inconveniencing him. On the subject of the owner, after nights out we were met with him asleep on the sofa in the reception which we found quite strange. However, the kitchen and bar staff were polite, kind and hardworking so not to be tarnished with the same brush as the owner. The pool was a good size, just let down by the fact that the adjoining jacuzzi pool was filthy on the bottom with dirt and soil lining the floor. On the whole, aesthetically the hotel is nice and modern, apart from the dining area which is dated and old fashioned. The modern look of the hotel is easily looked over when you consider the lack of hygiene, cleanliness, food standards and rudeness of the male owner. I loved Rhodes and Faliraki but will never stay in this hotel again.

We arrived at the Tsampika hotel at around 8:45pm excited for our holiday to begin. Upon our arrival the hotel looked lovely and like everything we expected. However, this feeling didn’t last long as we begun our process of checking in. The hotel owner and his wife checked us in but the husband seemed to me very abrupt and not welcoming. We felt as if he already had a stereotype of us as he realised we were English and begun to make references to Boris Johnson! We were offered dinner at the hotel before it shut but decided to head out later so declined the offer. Throughout the process he also continued to make ‘jokes’, such as how he would share my nans bed due to her staying alone in her room, his wife was also present at this moment. After a questionable check in was completed we then headed to our rooms, which to our delight were clean and modern so were happy once again. After going out for dinner and a few drinks in faliraki we then headed back into the hotel to find the owner asleep on the sofa in reception, this became a regular occurrence during our stay. We all headed up to my nans room to wind down before heading back to our own rooms but then heard loud banging on the hotel room door. My nan answered the door to find the hotel owner who was stood shouting ‘Be quite’ and ‘you will be quite’, we have all never felt so intimidated and vulnerable especially as we had not even been loud. We were also shocked that he had done this not knowing we were all in her room and still would’ve done this to a lady who is alone. We were also given orange wrist bands when we checked in, which seemed strange as during our stay it was clear that the majority of the other guests had blue bands. However, these were from Poland, Germany etc, so we begun questioning if the reason we had a different colour was due to us being English! Waking up the next morning we were in higher spirts and just wanted to enjoy our holiday so we headed for breakfast. This leads me to speak about the food that is served during breakfast, lunch, snack time and dinner, it was nothing but AWFUL every time. This meant us eating out everyday and spending more then we intended, despite being all inclusive. The pool and surrounding areas were all lovely and all bar staff were all very kind and helpful! A special shout out to Demetrius who always served the best drinks and cocktails. The hotel is also in a great location as is in walking distance of great bars, restaurants and shops. To conclude, the hotel it’s self is great but is hugely let down but the owner! We saw him asleep at least once everyday on the sofa in reception. He continued to be very unapproachable and not helpful throughout our whole stay. We found our selves being quiet and trying to avoid waking him after nights out to make sure we weren’t being told off! Overall I wouldn’t recommend this hotel and we won’t be booking again.

We stayed here last week July 28th 2022. As flight was delayed we didn’t arrive at hotel until 3.30am. At first look we thought it looked lovely but we were then told our room wasn’t ready for us?????? We were given a room with a double bed for the night so. Myself and 32 ye old daughter had to share a bed. Went down later after not sleeping because of other guests fighting. Got told to come back at 1pm to get key for room with twin beds. Went for breakfast, OMG is all I can say. How can u get breakfast wrong?? No fried eggs or scrambled only hard boiled eggs, no bacon only rubberised hot dog sausages and beans. Lots of continental food though. We were given bright orange wristbands while mostly all other guests had blue ones? When asking about this we were informed, it’s to do with we’re we come from??? Yes all other guests were either from Germany or Poland same for tv channels btw. Lunch and dinner looked awful so we ate out all the time. Thinking that the food was catering for blue wristband guests. Hotel was clean as was rooms and cleaned every day. In all, pool could have been a bit cleaner and hot tub actually working but it was somewhere to cool down in. drinks were wine and beer in day and cocktails and spirts as well in evening. Couldn’t taste any alcohol in cocktails at all. The snacks consisted of biscuits and cake ice cream. Deserts were only melon, fruit and sometimes a bit of cake. In all, location was fab and staff all lovely. The idea of different coloured wristband is still bothering me though. We’re we being singled out as brits???? If anybody knows PLEASE PUT ME OUT OF MY MISERY. Oh and don’t bother asking for a second key to keep electricity on while your out, we tried with a few different excuses but we’re simply just told NO.

“Nearly” all inclusive served with a side dish of contempt to guests I’m really not sure where to begin with this review, the past week has been a whirlwind, there are countless words I could use to describe this place, if I had to choose one I guess it would be…deplorable. This is going to be a long one and I apologise for that, if you stick with it I’ll have saved you £1000+ by avoiding this hotel. My fiancée and I arrived late evening to this hotel after a delayed flight. We entered the hotel which from the outset looks nice, as the saying goes you can polish a… Upon entering the building we had to wake the owner up from his slumber where he was sprawled out on the couch in full view of everyone passing on the street. We were tired but still excited to be on holiday at this time and were looking forward to the usual welcome pack/introduction from the owner such as meal times, check out times, directions to rooms etc. Unfortunately that didn’t happen, the only conversation that happened was the owner loudly demanding money from us for unknown reasons, it was later found out this was for tourist tax. We then where given our key which was a yale style key with a magnetic fob attached. We made our way to our room and upon entering were met with the smell of a football locker room, upon further inspection it appeared this was due to an open floor drain within the bathroom. Onto the following morning, we gathered essentials water etc from the local shop and placed them within the fridge in our room, in the hopes that they would be chilled after our day exploring the local area. Unfortunately this was not the case, the fridge only works when you are within the room. Not sure who thought this was a great idea, as after returning to the room it’s unclear what was warmer, us or the water in the “fridge” The following afternoon before going for lunch we decided to sit out on the balcony and take in the ambience of the resort, it was at this time we observed there to be a bird nest above us, with numerous bird excrement littering the balcony and table this continued to be topped up on the daily for us. We headed down for lunch and were excited as we had paid above and beyond the going rate for the area to get all inclusive. We entered the “restaurant” and asked for two drinks, both being spirits. It was at this time we where advised of the “All Inclusive” rules which where as follows 1000-1800 - Beer and wine only 1800-2200 - Beer, wine and terrible cocktails Good cocktails available daily but these were not included in all inclusive these where an extra charge We got a couple beers and sat down and had a sip, at which point we noted both glasses to be dirty, so we went and got fresh ones, again being dirty. It was food time, the best part of the holiday some would say, we grabbed wet plates and headed for the buffet, the selection was extremely limited, I wish I could give you some examples of what we ate but there were no notes telling you, so we will go with Mystery meat A and B. The food was disgusting. Whatever the meat was was always filled with fat and gristle and inedible. There was no vegetarian option either so unlucky veggies you will be eating canned peas and carrots for the week. Due to the above we had to leave and head out on the strip for food where we got a nice meal, this was the theme for the week, we ended up spending nearly the same amount on food and drink during that week than we did on accommodation, due to the food and drink being absolutely disgusting. Onto the following morning and for breakfast was the leftovers from the night before but with added veg. My fiancée asked for some toast to accompany her all inclusive breakfast, she was advised this would be €2. €2 euro if you want Toast with your all inclusive breakfast, you read it right folks. That night we went out for drinks with friends and arrived back to our Prison/Hotel at 11pm Again as before the hotel owner was found sleeping on the couch within the foyer. He awoke as we entered and began shouting at us, asking where we had been and why we’re were out so late. Never have I felt such contempt on holiday, we really where a nuisance to this guy, he did not want us there. During the week he seemed to be pleasant to other guests minus the Scottish and English ones. In my opinion the hostility and contempt shown towards myself and our group during this holiday could only be compared to a well known dictactor, I dare not say the name but it rhymes with Rudolph Smittler. During the week our Air Con broke, I brought this to the attention of our powerful leader…er hotel owner sorry. I was waved away and had to suffer the rest of the holiday without any aircon. I could write a thesis with the amount of things wrong with this hotel, but I’ll sum it up as follows; If you enjoy being treated like a problem child whilst eating inedible food and being shouted at daily then this is the place for you. If you wish to roleplay being held in a detention centre, I recommend this place highly. If, like me you go on holiday to actually have fun, avoid this place like the plague.
