Me and my fiancé came over a few weeks ago and stayed in this hotel as we were booking our wedding. The staff were amazing, did everything they could to make our stay better! The room was cleaned daily and the pool was spotless! They helped with all our enquirers, booked taxi's for us and also gave us map directions to all our venues! Really couldn't of done more for us and we will defiantly be retuning to this hotel! Thank you again! Hollie & Shaun

The hotel room is pokey, you couldn’t swing a cat in it (literally). The wardrobes tiny and there’s no where to put your suitcases etc. The beds a small but comfy double. Randomly there’s a fridge in the room but no kettle? Luckily we read reviews prior to arrival and purchased a travel one as there’s nothing better than a nice cup of tea when you wake up. We didn’t try the continental breakfast provided because to be fair we were put off by previous reviews and husband lives his full English! The pool area is tiny. More of a plunge pool. Your looking at around 6 sunbeds. ....There’s a second pool area that our room overlooked but it resembled an unkept pond. Maybe it will be transformed for the high season? Would we return? Probably not, to these apartments, but not due to anything other than the room size and pool area. Other than that, it’s in a fab location close to all the restaurants and bars, beach etc and the staff are lovely.

We recently stayed at the Amaryllis Hotel in Perissa on the "back side" of Santorini. It was a very pleasant stay and the hotel staff was wonderful. The woman who helped us check in (sadly I did not get her name) was exceptionally nice and helpful. While we were there I overheard her helping other guests check in and she spoke Spanish, English, Greek and I think French and who knows how many other languages. She is perfect for that job. She helped us with car rental, making the phone call to have the car delivered right to the hotel within a half hour. The rental agency, Avance, was very easy to work with and I had signed the papers and had the key within 3 or 4 minutes. They do not require an International Driver's License. We rented the car because we were on the back side of the island and would have to take the bus to get to the main town of Fira, which is on the caldera. Well, driving on Santorini was quite the adventure. We had the car for two days and drove all the way up to the village of Oia and back. The roads have no numbers and all the signs are in Greek so we were lost part of the time. Luckily the island is not that big and we just followed our noses to get back to Perissa. We visited Akrotiri, listed as a "traditional Greek village". This means the roads are very narrow and difficult to navigate. I parked the car so we could have some lunch and was just a bit too far from the wall of a building and a tour bus could not get through. I escaped arrest by running back just as the bus driver and another male passenger were attempting to lift the car out of the way. You will be tailgated by the locals like you've never been tailgated before. It was quite the experience and I would probably advise not to do the car rental unless you have nerves of steel. We just left the keys at the hotel desk and Avance came and picked up the car. So the rental was easy with lots of help from the hotel but the actual driving was not so easy and we were there in April. I can only imagine what it would be like during the high season. All in all, I can smile over that memory. The Amaryllis was a great little hotel and the lady at the desk was wonderful.

Just returned from this wonderful hotel. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful or welcoming. It was very clean, comfortable and relaxing. Lovely breakfast - great coffee! Location is fab, would definitely go back.

Some friends and I recently spent 3 days at this lovely hotel. The entire staff was so friendly and so accommodating. They treated us more like friends than strangers passing through. The rooms were very clean and the breakfasts were delicious (homemade bread every morning)! Another plus... their family restaurant is at the end of the beach with great food, wonderful service, and a spectacular view! I would definitely stay with these new “friends” again!
