Just returned from a few nights stay at the lovely Cliff Side Suites. We were upgraded to a large room/suite. It was lovely and very clean. Nice bathroom with lots of shower gel etc. The terrace was enormous and we watched the sunset each evening from there. Luckily our terrace was private but we did notice the route out of the hotel did involve walking through other peoples terraces. Ideally located close to lots of good restaurants and a couple of bars. The shopping area is also within walking distance. Obviously we were aware of this hotel’s location, but were a little daunted about just how many steps there are. Over 100 down (& UP again!) to our room. Not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Breakfast is provided. Not much variety but they were able to provide gluten-free bread each day. Helpful receptionists were able to organise taxi’s etc. Only a couple of issues; no shaver point in the bathroom & only 1 small mirror.

Just returned from a short break in Santorini. We stayed here. Cliffside suites is the perfect name for this hotel. Fabulous views from our very large balcony across the caldera. We had a lovely room ( thank you for the upgrade ) and the staff couldn't have been more helpful especially in providing gluten free bread at breakfast for my wife. The room was clean and very spacious and I loved the fact each room came with a table, chairs and deckchairs ( altho I would have preferred sun loungers ). There are lovely restaurants within a few meters if the hotel, most giving equally good sea/caldera views. This is a great place to stay and far more reasonable than some other similar hotels, altho like all the cliffside hotels you do have to negotiate a number of steps.Highly recommended

The name says it all: Indeed a delightful experience to stay at this property. No wonder they are proud members of the Small Luxury Hotels of the world network. We were originally scheduled to come to Greece in September of 2020. With the Covid pandemic, the hotel offered us the option to transfer our stay to a future date of our choosing, so we decided to come in September 2021. The hotel staff was extremely attentive and helpful. We were provided with a complimentary upgrade to their most luxurious suite and enjoyed our four days in Mykonos in grand style. Breakfast was also included in our stay and the food, as well as the service, were impeccable. The concierge had excellent suggestions for restaurants and was able to secure reservations to all venues. We also rented a car for two days, and the hotel arranged to have the car delivered to and subsequently picked up directly from the hotel. Highly recommendable.

PLEASE READ THIS TO AVOID A COSTLY DISAPPOINTMENT! I am leaving this review as the owners have ignored my complaint. 1. There is NO infinity pool at Cliff Side Suites, as they misleadingly advertise on booking.com. 2. There is no spa at Cliff Side as advertised, it is at a sister hotel. 3. The terraces are largely not private. They are looked over, and many (as mine was) are also walk-throughs, so zero chance to relax as people walk through day and night. 4. My room was also tiny and the front door almost on top of my neighbours. The security light was also faulty and lit the room up at night. Whilst I was offered a better room after I complained, it was the lack of an infinity pool, or any half decent pool that you could relax by on site, that was the biggest disappointment as this was the key reason I had booked it. 5. I was eventually offered a kd sister hotel at Perissa, called Aqua Blue. I had little choice but to accept other than paying for alternative at my own expense. Whilst this was lovely accommodation, some of the reception staff were often rude and dismissive. 6. I was not offered a refund of any sort even though Caldera prices are always more expensive than the other side of the island. >Whilst I tried to make the most of my week, This holiday was expensive and was not what I paid for. >I have been many times to Santorini and this is the only time I have had such an experience. > KD hotels are responsible for the content they put on any third party booking site but they have ignored my complaint and not amended the content so others will face similar disappointment). >The 1 star is for the receptionist at Cliff Side who was lovely. >This property it not suitable for anyone with mobility issues as there are literally 100s of steps to get to rooms/the pool. POOL DETAILS: The pool is tiny and tucked into a corner beside the kitchen. You cannot lay around it as you’d be in a walk-way. It is largely shaded. There is a path directly beneath the pool area where people walk past regularly with rubbish. It is not an infinity pool of any sort.

The hotel location is excellent, only 10 minutes walk to the hustle and bustle of Fira with a few restaurants and markets just outside the hotel. The view is exceptional, the breakfast is good but nothing amazing, the room is very basic so you really are just paying for the view. The Wi-Fi is absolutely horrible, you’re lucky to get it if you sit out on your patio. The patios are nice but too hot in the afternoon to sit but very nice early morning and after dark. There is no spa in the hotel as pictured on the website it’s at the sister hotel about a 10 minute drive away. The staff is friendly and try to accommodate as much as possible. Overall, it’s a decent hotel but if you’re looking for luxury this would not check the box.
