The location of Villa Ilias, perched 1,000 Ft above sea level, is one of the key benefits of this hotel. Those that choose to stay here are afforded breathtaking views that are unique only to Villa Ilias. More than a great location though, what distinguishes Villa Ilias from other hotels is our desire to see our guests as friends; friends who we would love to share our famous Greek hospitality with.

Immediately upon arrival at Villa Ilias, we were greeted by Katerina. She was so friendly and seemed so genuinely excited to meet us and learn about our trip. She went above and beyond by assisting us up the stairs with our luggage, providing a tour of our room, and gave us some seriously great recommendations for food and activities.

We booked the rooftop honeymoon suite which was outstanding. The views from the villa were some of the best on the entire island. The private hot tub was cleaned for us during our trip. The cabana chairs made for a perfect day in the sun. There was plenty of room for activities on the balcony. We even had an in room couples massage on the balcony. We also got take out from local restaurants a few times and ate on the deck. The room is very private and romantic.

The location was great and quiet but still easily walkable to Fira and other restaurants in the area. The breakfast was fresh and tasted like an authentic home-made Greek breakfast. Every morning, they made a special Greek traditional meal. My favorite was the honey powdered donuts.

The pool was very nice. There is a bar and the bartender, George will make you any cocktail you want! The service was outstanding and I felt at home. George at the front was very friendly and always has a smile. Katerina is a gem and the owner is lucky to have her as a perfect compliment to the beautiful Hotel Villa Ilias. This place is an absolute winner and can’t be missed.

I had the pleasure to stay for six nights at the villa and it was beautiful! You are welcomed in open arms by George and his wife for providing vacation ideas and tips for around the island. They both have all services needed and when asked for a request, such as renting a scooter, their contact was at the hotel door within 15 minutes to rent me a scooter. Every morning you’ll be welcomed with a great breakfast of your own selection (the coffee is worth the stay mmm). The hotel is situated in the perfect location, walking distance to Fira and if you’re a hiker, to Oia (this was the highlight of my trip). Several cafes and shops in walking distance. The view from my room was on the pool (as shown on photos). The best of all, there is no need to explore the island for an amazing sunset location as it is right at the pool deck of the hotel. Amazing sunset spot!! Thank you for a great stay. Highly recommended to feel welcomed in Greece. Loved my stay!

Beautiful hotel in Firostefani, 15 min walking distance from Fira. The hotel has great restaurants and shops on the doorstep which gives you lots of choice. . We stayed in room 6 which comes with a balcony with breathtaking caldera views. The pool is lovely, and so refreshing after a busy day sightseeing. Breakfast was delicious and super fresh. Everything was sanitised, and you need to put gloves and mask to access the breakfast buffet which I think is a great practice. Every day they had a "breakfast special"along with a daily newsletter which gave this hotel that personal touch. They were always so helpful, arranging our transfers to and from the hotel. They were so quick to respond to emails/correspondence and on arrival was so informative. And the sunset is just out of this world... Honestly, it was just PERFECT. Thank you Georgios and all the staff!! Would highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Santorini.

My brother had booked this hotel. It was amazing! The fuse from the room look like something out of a postcard. The staff are so friendly And warm and welcoming. They go out of their way to make sure that your visit is impeccable and anything you need they are more than happy to help take care of for you. I would love to go back to Santorini someday and I would absolutely stay here again. Morning brunch was amazing! Location was fantastic. Rooms were very nice. Beds very comfortable. The only downside is you cannot flush toilet paper and that is true of everywhere in Santorini.

We really enjoyed our 5-night stay at Villa Ilias at the end of July and would go back tomorrow if we could! It's a short walk from the hotel into Fira with amazing views, good restaurants and cafés along the way. Staying in Firostefani was ideal since you're away from the crowd in Fira but still able to get there easily on foot for dinner or to catch the bus. The views of the Caldera from our side-view room and the pool deck were amazing. The room was clean and included a fridge and basic eating utensils (glasses, plates and cutlery). From the breakfast and reception area you also have a breath-taking sea view of the other side of the island, which was a great surprise! The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Due to Covid 19 we had to order breakfast items ahead of time and then had them served directly. Eleni and Giorgos were so welcoming and helpful and checked in with us regularly throughout our stay. We booked a catamaran sunset cruise with their help and it was the highlight of our trip to Greece. Looking forward to going back to Vilia Ilias someday!

We had a very special time staying in Villa Ilias. We were very welcome, location is spot on and breakfasts were delicious. Eleni suggested routes to take and places to see and George spoiled us with omelettes and good coffee.
They even were willing to switch off lights around the pool for us so we can see shooting stars!
Thank you for having us.

Our dearest friends Jelena and Robe, we will most certainly cherish all the moments we spent together! I cannot think of a better thing than sharing experiences, ideas, stories, overlooking indeed one of the best panoramas on earth! This is what we love to do here, this is the message we want to pass to everyone who chooses to stay with us... TO CREATE BONDS, between us and you visiting and among all our guests. This is what you will bring back home, this is what stays in our hearts. Thank you, you have been wonderful, a pleasure to have had around. See you very soon! A huge hug to both of you!

We stayed for 5 nights and it was the highlight of our 6 week European trip. The staff were lovely and so helpful both before and during our stay. The room we had booked was exactly as I had imagined and had wonderful views over the caldera. The room was spotless and the daily breakfast, with a special treat everyday, was more than ample. The location was perfect with a 15 minute walk to Fira, where the local bus provides easy and cheap access to other parts of the island. Plenty of restaurants and smaller cafes to choose from for eating. Overall just the BEST accommodation and staff I have dealt with when travelling. And the views were just breathtaking, no need to join the crowds at Oia to see the sunset, when front row seats are right there!

Everything was just perfect!!
Starting from the staff who was soo lovely and friendly! Willing to help with anything! We made us feel so welcome and comfortable.
The room was quiet small but had all you need! We had swimming pool and extra towels for it.
The view from the villa is just unique! The best sunsets we seen in our life!
The breakfast is super complete and they make you fresh coffee in the moment 😍, also everyday they cook a greek speciality and bring it to your table, also everyday they have a different magazine about Santorini and the place.
Just 2 min from the hotel you have a mini market very cheap and is full of restaurants or shops to eat. Then about 15/20min walking you are in the centre where all the restaurants are and the bus station to go to the beach.
Thank you soo much for treating us so well!!!

Villa Ilias is a wonderful, boutique hotel in the perfect location. Firostefani is lovely and only 15/20 minute walk into Fira where it is much busier. We really enjoyed being in this quieter area with plenty of restaurants literally a few minutes walk away. We stayed in room 12, Caldera Suite, on the ground floor with a balcony overlooking beautiful church domes and a view out to the caldera. It got the sun early in the morning so we used to enjoy our breakfast sitting here. The pool is small but never busy and we used it every day. The main path into Fira or to Oia in the opposite direction runs beside the hotel so you step straight out onto it making it easy to walk anywhere. We did the hike to Oia one morning - well worth doing.
We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Ilias and the friendly atmosphere - and fell in love with Santorini!

Are there lots of stairs to get to hotel? Or is it street level? Thank you
Answer from Dimitris F

There are about tree levels to enter the hotel. There are rooms on 1st floor, ground floor and one level below. The caldera has formed the building, so any room has wonderful view. If you have a car, i think there are only 3 steps

I would contact the hotel directly and ask. We stayed there but not in that room. It is a small place and the view is amazing from the pool area so if you are on that side I expect your view will be as well. I don’t recall huge windows anyplace. Honestly, I would expect you would spend a fair amount of your time outside so you will have the view. We LOVED it there. The BEST breakfast and Mary and the other hosts were wonderful. Great location and value! I’m jealous! Enjoy!
