One apartment with two friends in a great location! The apartment was very clean and the hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful! The pool was lovely and we could always get a sun lounger on the beach. Would definitely recommend.

Booked between 5-12 July Price for two apartments ~€1900 The hotel is situated in a magnific and very convenient location: 15 meter from the sandy beach, 30 meters from the main road - which all along has restaurants, shops, bars and entertainment places- about 50-60 meters from the bus station. Those who want to travel in confort will find a lot of car rent offices along the main road The hotel itself is huge garden style apartment conglomerate, those arriving for very first time could be a little confused whereabout are their rooms, but after 2-3 days everything will be ok Rooms are cleaned on daily basis, but if you spent a long night in the town, you can skip the cleaning.... We have paid only breakfast, but those who want launch or dinner the restaurant has a various menu, we had our orders taken sitting on the sunbeds on the beach. I cannot leave this review without to mention the staff members, starting with the cleaning team and finishing with the waiters, all of them are just brilliant at doing their jobs. THANK YOU GHiANNIS and your colleagues. The second room was booked on my daughter's name. The staff noticed it was her birthday (probably from the paperwork completed at check in) and they arranged a surprise for her at the bar, this without us requesting any special treatment. Obviously for such a big place, I found some negative things as well: the tap from the bathroom was slightly broken, it was very difficult to open and close it. But again, the cleaning staff noticed it during their daily work so I didn't even have time to tell anyone about the issue, and when I returned to my room I found that they replaced it with a brand new tap. In our second room, booked for our travel companions the cooling system was a bit old. it worked however it took a longer time to cool down the room and it was slightly louder. The WiFi signal in my room was of astonishing quality, while my daughter's room had a really slow speed. I was able to watch Netflix with the very rare occasion of buffering while my daughter's partner was struggling to do his remote work.

We stayed here for a week at the end of May. It's a great location all round for the beach, shops and plenty of restaurants, most of which were very good. Mylos was a particular favourite. The general condition of our room was very disappointing. All very tired, old tired linen, stale aroma in the apartment, decor and furniture dated and tired. We asked for an upgrade to a Seaview room but none available. Our travel agent and previous reviews said the hotel had been updated recently. It's such a shame as its a great location. Breakfast was very good, plenty to eat, all very clean. Staff around the restaurant were very busy keeping food topped up and tables cleared. Plenty of loungers on the beach with sun umbrellas, so such luck around the pool all week with towels on them very early in the morning but no-one on them?? No interaction from the staff, all seemed very serious and barely acknowledged in the Reception, not even asked if we had a good holiday, no welcome on arrival.

Was there for 10 days in June. The environment is wonderful. The rooms are basic, functional and clean. I would have liked air conditioning that was less audible and a stronger WiFi signal in the room. The breakfast is great. And a real luxury to have the pool and the beach just a few steps from the room. The staff extremely helpful. I wold recommended to everyone who like a quiet and peaceful nap on the beach and fun swim in the sea. I will go back.

We spent a week in Indigo Mare, we had a cute room with a nice and large terrace watching the sea. The room was comfy, with a spacious bedroom, a living room and a little kitchen. The hotel has a lovely garden which stretches across the apartment buildings and creates, with orange trees and flowers, the perfect Mediterranean feel. There is also a wonderful beach right in front of the hotel, morning jogging and evening walks were a pleasure. The best part of our stay anyhow has been the restaurant: lots of great food to taste while watching the amazing view of the sea and the pool area; it has been an absolute delight to dine there every morning and every evening. Special thanks go to the staff at the restaurant, really caring and lovely people: Kostas, Nikos, Vaggelis, Johanna and Nelly made each and every meal a real pleasure. Thank you guys :). Till next time!

Fantastic seafront hotel, with private beach (free sunbeds if you are a guest at hotel), nice clean rooms, fully equipped bar and restaurant, pool etc. Freshly, pressed orange juice at breakfast buffet!(Never gotten that in Greece before)! A wide range of both Continental and greek traditional foods, both at buffet and at the menu. Nice and friendly staff. We had our honeymoon here, and we got a lovely room with a wonderful seafront view. Made our holiday magic! Special thanks to our cleaning lady Anna for smiles and freshly cleaned room every day! We recommend room nr.219! Efaristo, Indigo Mare!❤️

I am currently staying at indigo mare hotel, I have been here for 3 days. After one day I lost money from my Wallet after cleaning service. I tried to talk to the woman who cleans and she didn’t want to talk to me. I then asked to see the hotel manager. He wasn’t available, so I talked to the hotel owner. I explained calmly what the problem was. The receptionist had to translate Cause he can’t speak english. From the beginning of the conversation who was uncomfortable. He startes asking what I do for a Living and how much money I make. He then starter yelling at me and acting threatening. I never tried something so uncomfortable. To anyone who is going for Crete, for you own pleasure dont go to Indigo Mare hotel.

Response from Dora Skarkala, Ιδιοκτήτης at Indigo Mare
Responded Aug 24, 2021
Dear Mrs Hajark, I would like to mention that our priority is to have happy guests and creαte beautiful memories. The fact that one day you lost some of your money, indeed is something sad, but the owner explained to you, that our cleaning ladies are working here for many years and we never had faced issues like this. Furthermore, we believe that anyone would like to lose his job for 20 euros. The owner of the hotel, who is a 76 years old man, is 70% deaf from his one ear and this is the reason he speaks loudly. The fact that you felt uncomfortable wasn't our aim and we are very sorry for that. With best regards, Theodora Skarkala

We stayed in many locations in Greece and trust me when I say, this one was amazingly good. Location is perfect, on the sandy beach of platanias. The rooms are very nice and worth every penny and unlike other hotels in Greece, there is no extra charge for the air conditioning. The breakfast has various options, anyone can find something that they like. Check out hours very reasonably. This year being different because of covid, we also appreciated how they handled that: masks were given every day, room cleaning was made at customers choice. Unlike other hotels, the sunbeds were free of charge (in zakinthos at a 4 star hotel we had to pay the sunbeds every day). There is a little playground for young children. Staff is very friendly, i've got nothing negative to say about this complex of apartments. Everything was great.

This is a good 3* hotel but the communal areas are far too small for the number of rooms. Hotels are only allowed 40% occupancy due to Covid yet still hard to get a sunbed. Only 12 sunbeds by the pool but quite a few on the beach. Bar service on beach & round pool was very good. Staff are very friendly. Rooms are basic but clean & tidy. We had a nice balcony & side sea view. TV is good - a few English channels. Our door was very difficult to lock - we had to bang it quite a few times till it locked. We told them 3 times and it was still not fixed when we left. We lost a key card and were given a new one, only when we checked out were we told we had to pay 5Euros for an additional card. You are only allowed 1 card/room. Think they worry about people leaving the air con on. Breakfast was OK - plenty of food but overcooked and cold. There are 88 rooms and if only 40% occupied then only 35 are in use. It felt like more. If all 88 had been occupied breakfast and sunbeds would have been dreadful. Bearing in mind only 40% occupancy we were still refused a late checkout and no showers - out flight was at 11:00pm so a very unpleasant day was had. The room was required that afternoon which is not allowing the 24 hours required to be empty. We booked very late and actually had a good holiday taking into consideration all the issues with travel at present but under normal circumstances we would not stay at this hotel - it is a 3* and it cannot accommodate the number of rooms it has Do not go in high season when times go back to normal.

There might not be available sun beds so be early at the beach or the pool. Menu in the restaurant does have very few options. The rooms is ok. No luxury. Can get rooms in the back yard with no wind. But all in all. Ok hotel. Ok breakfast. Excellent service at the beach.
