My partner and I stayed for 4 nights early October, the check in staff were very friendly and informative we were given a refreshing welcome drink and sit by the pool before being taken to our room, a complimentary bottle of Greek wine left in our room, towels and linen tidied and changed regularly, beach towels were available in the room free of charge, staff happy to recommend local trips, the pool was smaller than the photos lead you to believe and not many sunbeds but as the time of year was out of the main season we didn’t struggle and there were plenty down on the beach, plenty of restaurants within walking distance and a few bars to drink in but the area seemed to be aimed at older groups, all in all a lovely hotel, our view unfortunately was of the car park so didn’t use the balcony at all which was a shame but appears only the 1 and 2 bed apartments have pool and sea views

The location on the beach was amazing. The staff were super friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast is second to none especially because it was served by Gina who we miss already. It is so nice to have breakfast served instead of buffet. Good restaurants very close by. We will definitely go again. Stefanos and Vaggelis in the bar were fantastic. You can swim in the pool while looking at the Sea. Highly recommend it.

Right on the beach, receptionist is extremely friendly and kind. Clean beach area and hotel. I’m pregnant and reception asked multiple times if it was okey for me that our room was on the second floor. This was perfectly okey with me but I don’t doubt that she would have switched the room if this was a problem. Room was nice and as described on the website, beds are nice and there are extra pillows if you ask for it. Good small kitchen, coffeemaker and boiler. Only thing that makes this a 4 and not a 5 is that the bathroom smells a bit funny. Looking forward to our last days :)

We can definitely recommend Blue Dome Hotel. My mother and I had a wonderful two weeks there this summer (June/July 2018). We had originally requested a room on the second floor, but due to some health issues that occurred right before our trip, we had to ask to switch rooms to the first floor early in our stay. The agency we booked our trip through made this a bit difficult, but the staff at Blue Dome really did everything they could to help us out and were so sweet, especially Eleni. The first week was very calm and relaxing. We could get up at any time in the morning and find a bed by the pool or on the beach without issues. The second week we noticed that there were a lot more families with children who got up very early and put out towels, so it was very difficult to get bed by the pool. It was a bit annoying, since the people who did this didn't actually come out early to enjoy the sun and pool, and on several occasions, the beds were barely even used until later in the afternoon. Luckily for us, we were just two people and we made sure to get up a bit earlier our last week. The staff were all wonderful and helpful. The only thing I can say for improvement here is that the pool bar staff should be a bit better at cleaning up glasses, bottles and such from the tables around the pool. The glasses and bottles would sit around on the tables for a long time, and sometimes they even blew down and shattered on the ground. Luckily the staff were very quick with cleaning it up, so that no one would get hurt from the broken glass. Other than this, we were very happy with everyone, from reception to pool bar to cleaning to restaurant. The hotel is ideally placed, right on the beach and really close to several great restaurants. I would happily return to Blue Dome hotel if I come back to Platanias.
