Geraniotis Hotel & Resort is located on 30 acres of land, along the sandy beach of Platanias. The hotel is famous for its family environment and its warm friendly service, its high-quality traditional cuisine, the flourishing gardens, and the magnificent view over the Cretan Sea. The hotel consists of 81 hotel rooms and 65 fully equipped apartments scattered around the stunning greenery. Our beach has been awarded The Blue Flag, which stands for a clean sea and a safe beach. The beach close to the hotel is also an important breeding place for the sea turtles Caretta-Caretta. We offer 2 large pools for adults, 3 separate children's pools, and a playground. The hotel services guests with two intimate restaurants, the main one, and the Cretan one "OUZAKI". The former allows guests to enjoy all of their main meals of the day, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The latter is a Cretan concept restaurant with a cozy greek atmosphere, and small plates to share inspired by Cretan flavors. Our pool bar is the best place to be for a break from the swimming dives and the long hour of sun exposure. There are plenty of refreshing beverages, fresh homemade pizza cooked and served at a show cooking and many small meals that allow guests to recharge their batteries and relax to the fullest. Geraniotis Hotel and Resort is located in Platanias, a village filled with attractions, restaurants, and local shops to explore, only 25 minutes from the Chania city center. Our biggest goal is to welcome all of our guests to our place, relax together, engage to the fullest, and create beautiful unforgettable moments. We hope we see you soon!!

You really get the best of both worlds with this hotel. It’s situated at the edge of the town so it’s very peaceful but in about 10 minutes you can be in the hub of the resort.
The gardens are vast and very well kept. We opted to pay the very small fee for the sunbeds on the beach each day because it is really beautiful there and due to some guests opting for an all inclusive option the pool area can be a little busy, that said the whole grounds are very spacious so it’s never cramped like some hotels.. We had a superior double room which was spacious and cool with a beautiful view of the sea. The sea was quite rough for the first few days so I advise caution with young children. However as the temperature increased the sea calmed and the clarity of the water improved . I think this is the best beach on this stretch. I am not a fan of hotel buffets so I only opted to eat a small breakfast at the hotel, this was adequate.. The restaurants in the town are too good to miss.
The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and professional and really go out of their way to help and assist.
Overall the guests were pleasant enough and thankfully did not display the behavior which can be associated with all inclusive. Personally I think this hotel due to its grounds and location should focus on exclusivity and maybe attract a more refined clientele.
I would definitely recommend this hotel but I think travelers without children
would have the best experience out of the school holiday period.
Finally I have to say that the COVID hygiene rules were excellently adhered to, the hotel is absolutely spotless, massive credit to the cleaning staff.

Geraniotis is situated at the other end of Platanias, and is hence quite peaceful. We had booked a deluxe double room, but had to downgrade that as the sofa beds for the kids were way too short for anyone being taller than 150cm. So had a poor start with the place.
Otherwise the place is quite nice for one week's stay. Nice pool and beach areas with lots of space. The restaurant serves only buffet (there are mainly all inclusive customers), which is boring. There are good restaurants nearby, so not really an issue, though.

We spent two weeks here and absolutely loved it. The hotel has a large and well kept outdoor area with lots of space and two decent sized pools. Best of all: The beautiful beach is right there! And because of the location on the outskirts of Platanias, it's never crowded! Sunbeds on hotel property are free of charge, sunbeds at the beach are 8 euros a pair.

We had two newly redecorated deluxe apartments next to each other. Attentive housekeeping six days a week. Hotel staff over all were kind and helpful. The receptionist helped us renting a car being delivered and picked up at the hotel.

The hotel has a snackbar and a restaurant and also a shop selling beach items and snacks. We had lunch at the snackbar several times and the food was ok. We never ate at the hotel restaurant, so can't say anything about the food for those interested in all inclusive. There are several great restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk.

The hotel absolutely deserves more than 3 stars. However, you pay a cheaper tourist tax due to this, so maybe it can stay as it is :D
It is located outside the busy Platanias in a quiet surrounding of a beautifully kept garden. The building are designed in a very Greek style, offering lots of picturesque places for photos with flowers and plants around. Room are decent and clean. Furnishing is not the newest, but who stays in the room during vacation? Pools, bars and restaturant are renovated and great. No loud music at the pools and beach, so you can relax. Food is absolutely magnificent and everyone can find something that suits their taste. Staff is friendly and works like a on big family. Overall, nothing to complain. Just come !

P.S Only the last night seemed odd- there was an engagement party organized at the hotel at the same time of its normal operation and lack of staff made it difficult to serve the party and the hotel visitors. I take it as a strange circumstance.

On arrival we were met by the night receptionist with a smile and a very helpful attitude. We were promptly shown to our room, so quickly loaded our cases into the room and headed to the pool bar for a night cap. The next day we opened the shutters of our balcony to be met with a beautiful sea view we were very happy.
Next stop breakfast with lots of choices and all cooked freshly, the standard of the food is very good, that’s for lunch and dinner too. The location is perfect just on the edge of Platanias so nice and quiet but only a short walk to bars and restaurants we were spoilt for choice. There is a Lidl just over the road very handy if you need a few bits we used it regularly. The bus stop is just outside the hotel, we took a bus to Chania old port for 2 euro 20 each bargain for a twenty minute journey. The staff are all very friendly and always happy to assist. In summary a perfect place for a relaxing holiday and we will be sure to return.

We spent a week at Geroniotis, and had a really good time. The hotel is big, but since it’s a lot of small houses, it still has a cozy feeling to it while still being an all-inclusive hotel.
The hotel is located at the beach, so you have access to both the pool and the ocean. The pool bar plays music at a comfortable level, and although we did not have all-inclusive, we still though the prizes were fair (e.g €4.80 for a big Mythos). The portions are huge, so except for the first day (rookie mistake) we always shared lunches. It is a bit of a war scene trying to get a pool chair, and everyone puts a towel down at around 8-9 o’clock even though the pool doesn’t open until 10. There were usually chairs available on the beach though.
The breakfast was really nice, with a lot of options even if you’re intolerant or vegan.
The hotel is located at the end of the tourist street so there’s a lot of options for restaurants in the evening.

Geraniotis beach is a beach resort located in a quiet area in Platanias. We had a deluxe-room with huge two balconies, with a view to the sea and the other one also with a view to the mountains.

The reception had an amazing lady named Sofia who did everything to make our stay perfect. We have visited Chania many times with different hotels before but this was the best. Not too big to have personal service, which is the way to make the customers enjoy their stay these days I think.

There are 2 swimming pool areas, lots of space, very good because of Covid. We had all inclusive and the food was good - especially the desserts! There was a guy in the bar working usually the evening/night shift, sorry I can't remember his name, but he was always happy and had a smile!

I would definitely recommend the hotel and hope to be back!

Our first visit on Crete but definitely the final.
We had an awesome stay on this beautiful apartment hotel with a really great, varied, great tasting and healthy breakfast included.
The service level of staff is extremely high and they are really kind at any levels.
One of the most beautiful and convenient located hotels, where you live and relax directly on the beach with the best sunrise and sunset views.
