Piskopiano Village Apartments has lovely traditional Aegean Island style decor. An ideal place for relaxing and close to many interesting places to visit, most of which are within walking distance. The apartments are located in the hills above Hersonissos, between the small villages of Koutouloufari and Old Hersonissos. The apartments have panoramic views of Hersonissos Bay which is a 15 minute downhill walk. Facilities at Piskopiano Village Apartments include 2 outdoor swimming pools with children's pool, pool showers, free sun beds and umbrellas, a poolside bar serving snacks and drinks during the day. For children there is a small play area. The indoor bar has a big screen satellite TV, a pool table and internet access. The bar has an outside veranda and is a popular place to socialise in the evenings. There is an 18 hole golf course and water park 4km away.Due to it's hillside location it has a number of stairs which make it unsuitable for buggies, wheelchairs or those who have difficulty walking. Have been here once before 5 years ago and enjoyed it so why not. Crete is a lovely island and the peole are so nice. Piskopiano is off the coast above Hersonnisos. The middle one of 3 villages. You can easily walk between them.. Surrounded by lots of ber chilled local bars and restaurants. No Macdonald's or KFC ETC. Local food is delicious and drink quite reasonable. Would say the rooms looked a little tired but evidently are due a refurb in closed season. If you want a chilled break I completely recommend it. Collin

Me at the airport: "Which is the bus transfer to Piskopiano Village?" Rep: "Number 22. Is this your first visit?" Me: "Yes." Rep: "Now that's VERY unusual." That says it all.  This resort has many regulars that return time and time again.  We could be joining them. We prefer small family run hotels and this one for us was perfect.  There are plenty of eateries near by and plenty of independent mini-supermarkets.  I can only add to what others have already said.  Maria at the poolside bar/cafe is a star.  We had quite a few light meals there.

We had a wonderful family holiday here with 6 adults and three teenagers aged 12, 15 & 17! The hotel is small, family run and intimate, and the feel of the whole place is very friendly and laid back and Maria and George are always on hand and willing to help out if needed. Despite the hotel being relative small, the rooms, and infact the whole hotel, felt very spacious and tidy. There was always space around the pools and no worries about getting a sunbed should you want one. The views are spectacular, looking down to the sea and the harbour one way, then up into the mountains behind you. Maria cooks lovely food at the pool bar. Snacks including sandwiches (hot and cold), burgers and a fabulous breakfast selection. The hotel is situated in a lovely area, with everything you need within walking distance. The villages of Piskopiano and neighbouring Koutouloufari are really picturesque, with many fabulous restaurants, bars and bespoke shops. Everyone was very friendly to tourists and we ate out for 14 nights in a different restaurant each night with absolutely nothing to complain about. The 20 walk to Hersonissos and the town and harbour is nice, although all downhill, so obviously all uphill on the way back. The harbour is pretty and days can be spent exploring the town, the shops and the wide range of restaurants which we lunched at. In terms of activities to keep the teenagers entertained, there were plenty of water sports down at the harbour at reasonable prices. The hotel also has a pool table and a tennis table available to use. We all had s fabulous holiday and Piskopiano Village Hotel is definitely somewhere I’d love to return to. Thank you Maria and George.

Stayed here in May 2022. We had been to Piskopiano before and said we would stay here when we returned. Room was large with a separate bedroom. Air conditioning was decent enough. Bathroom was basic and could do with an upgrade and kitchen is not really equipped for a self catering holiday. Pool and bar area was nice and always sun loungers available. Nice views from the pool area. There is a massage bed and I had a massage which was lovely. Food and drinks at the bar was nice, all freshly made but only breakfast, lunch and snacks as the pool bar closed at 5. The real gem here is Maria who was there every day for our 10 days without a day off, running the pool bar and cooking, always with a cheery smile, even though she was unwell for a few days. She is a real asset to the hotel.

Piscopiano village crete I agree that the self catering accommodation are basic and in need of an upgrade. That said, our two bedroom appointment whilst basic has all we need & is spotlessly clean not just the rooms but entire site. I’ve not visited this part of Crete before and when we first arrived having dropped people before us in large hotels but in remote spots we were driven into the hills, into this little gem of a village situated at the top. The trip adviser do not do it justice. My family 18th are old and teenager at 16 ❤️ This place. It has all you need, beautiful village bars & high top Terrance restaurants sitting amongst untouched lanes, potted plants, trees and bespoke shops & if that wasn’t enough down by the port there’s beach front bars Shops and restaurants mostly all overlooking the sea. Whilst the toilets remain its traditional self we’ve found them to be clean and sanitary (of course still using the bins provided) The food has been amazing so far, we’ve eaten out each night so far and not had a bad meal yet. Most hoteliers, and restauranteurs have been welcoming and friendly as have the team at Piscopiano village Maria is a darling who cannot do enough for anyone. The salads have been amazing, fresh, crisp and all foods cooked from Scratch non of this reheat nonsense. Average €3.50-€4 a pint average €6.50 cocktails or G&T with mixer €7 but you get good measures €3 for coke/ice tea Average meal for 4 of us with drinks has been between €70/85 depending if we’ve had a sweet too the portions are large and more importantly cooked from fresh which is what we’ve experienced eating down at the port or up in the village restaurants Bring bite spray for the evenings if your prone to bites Nappy bags for your bathroom, toilet smelly & your all set Enjoy your holiday we shall return ❤️👍🏝

The accommodation is in a good location in Piskopiano however they are in need of an upgrade especially the bathrooms (even by Greek standards). Also we found the staff not to be very friendly - Mr George the owner is a grumpy chap, and Maria is very bossy and like people have mentioned in previous reviews if you don't buy much in her snack bar she doesn't want to know. The young girl on reception is also very unhelpful. I'm sure there are a lot friendlier accommodation in Piskopiano/Koutelafari.

Absolutely loved our 10 nights here! Oh Maria!!! You are the glue that holds this place together, you work amazing hard every day and make it look easy with your gorgeous smile and loving personality. Location is great for Herssonisis, Kouflafarari, (obviously can’t spell them) Lovely bars and restaurants nearby and a walk down the hill to the harbour where you can grab a boat trip and water sports. Lovely snacks and drinks at the pool bar and rooms and areas cleaned daily. I would have given it 5 out of 5 but our apt needed a bathroom upgrade and was smaller than the studios, despite upgrading to deluxe. Big Hi to George, look after Maria, she is the life of this place and an absolute diamond. Can’t wait to return, but will book direct to ensure that we get the apt we want. Thanks so so much for the best time xxxx

We came and stayed for 10 nights. When we arrived reception was closed and it wasn’t clear where our rooms were. However, we did eventually find a room. The room was spacious and we had a nice view of the sea from our room. Maria was amazing. She helped us with everything we needed. We got engaged on this holiday so it’ll be one we never forget. The pool is big and a very nice atmosphere. There are many restaurants and bars near the apartments and it’s only a 20 minute walk to hersonissos. We had a lovely stay.

Mixed feelings as there were good and bad points. When we arrived we were given a dreadful room- I think it had been a studio made into a 1 bed. (Room 24). The ‘lounge’ area consisted of 2 children beds- the air con was also in this room- none in the bedroom! The bedroom was so small, the wardrobe was in the lounge part! As it was late, there was little we could do until the next day- unfortunately we hardly had any sleep as there were extremely bright security lights shining through both windows- the kitchen window had no curtain or blinds so there was no way of avoiding this! The lights were on constantly rather than on a timer. In the morning we spoke to George the owner who immediately gave us another room- this was a proper 1 bedroomed, which was what we’d paid for. Fair enough- but why give us that shocking first room? The 2nd room was bigger and reasonably clean- lovely beds and bedding and 2 terraces- only 1 table tho so we kept having to move the seating area. The curtains let all the light through so we were woken extremely early each morning- some rooms have shutters and or black out curtains- surely this is a basic? Cleaners were lovely although they were run off their feet- only 2 of them for the whole complex. Needless to say our sheets and towels were only changed once in 10 days and there was no real cleaning of any sort. I have read reviews where people have said their rooms were cleaned daily? This didn’t happen for us- even the toilet bin was only emptied every 2 days. Air con worked well. Maria at the pool bar is clearly an asset to the hotel- she is so friendly - good food and reasonably priced. Two pools and always able to get a sunbed- although they are quite uncomfortable but putting a lilo on top helps. There were quite a few broken ones as well. Met some lovely people - everyone was friendly, position great for the villages but overall the complex felt a little unkempt and needed some TLC. Lots of steps depending on where your rooms are.

The location of these apartments within the village is good, bars/restaurants to the right and left as you leave the complex, with a supermarket just a short walk away. We booked a premium apartment, but I'm not sure that is what we got. The apartment was clean but only just. Could have done with a little more care taken when cleaned. On arrival we had no towels in the bathroom and the reception was closed, luckily the lady at the pool bar was able to help. The cooking facility was a very small two ring plug in hob which was of now use. I would say these apartments were a room with a kettle not fully self catering, if you do want to cook a little these apartments are not for you. The pool area was good and a nice pool but very deep so not suitable for non confident swimmers. Pool bar also available between 10 and 5 and offered a good selection of food and drinks. Overall we enjoyed out time but would not book these apartments again.
