This is the 30th year our group of 4 couples has travelled to France to spend 2 days in each others' company to have a pleasant dinner and Lunch in 2 separate locations. Our overnight stay was in Coq Hotel. We could not eat there as its restaurant was closed until just before Christmas. We parked our 2 cars in...

Montreuil-Sur-Mer rose to prominence in the Middle Ages as the main sea port of the Capetiens, combined with a robust cloth industry and a reputation as a centre for pilgrimage. The town is somewhat faded now, but continues to benefit from the traditional ambience of an historic French town. Protected by tall ramparts, it enjoys a commanding view over the...

Nice spotlessly clean hotel, comfortable bed and situated right in the centre of town, with a great restaurant and the best breakfasts you will get in France. Tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms. The hotel restaurant is just great and the town has some amazing restaurants, we think the biggest plus point for this town are the restaurants,...

We live in east Kent, so northern France is a very easy hop over via Euro-tunnel. Strangely we never make the most of this, so for the first time, I organised a couple of nights in half term with teenage children. Le Coq was the second place we stayed and so lovely, warm & comfortable. We ate a terrific dinner...

A timeless and classic French hotel in a small town, both of which are easy to find (and park in!) We have returned 3 times to this hotel for the following reasons : Spotless. Literally. Traditional - you know you are in northern France. Great restaurant directly opposite (again, traditional style) Easy to find on route to / from the...

This is a great small family run hotel, nice rooms, excellent restaurant and the best buffet breakfast in a long time. If you are looking for a first nights stop or stopping before you hit Calais then this is a great option

As others have said, this is a lovely place to stay. We were there for just one night on our way southwards, and had a very pleasant quiet room with a fine bathroom, and enjoyed a happy supper in the courtyard (in September, too). Montreuil is a delightful small town, and we must stay longer next time. I suggest checking...

Really good position for this ancient walled town and there are plenty of restaurants near by too. The hotel has parking but you have to book ahead, cost €10. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The hotel has its own restaurant, but we didn't try it for dinner. The best bit though was the breakfast (€12). Beautifully laid out with plenty...

This is one of the nicest hotels that I stayed in. It is in the centre of the town close to all of the restaurants. The room was spotless, the breakfast was brilliant and the location perfect. Why only 4 out of 5 - they charge 10 euros to park which for me when you are paying the amount they charge...
