The drive to the hotel and countryside , the river , around the hotel is stunning . The hotel is based in a lovely little village . It was so hot , and when we arrived at the hotel , the bus in front , arriving same time with guests on a cycling holiday , blocked the entrance , unpacking... More

Beautiful old style room with antiques, lovely reception rooms and delightful garden. Dinner under the trees was excellent and their bistro in the village square on our second night was also very good. Staff are terrific being both professional and friendly. A great place to unwind and visit the Dordogne valley.

We stayed three nights, eating under the trees on the terrace on our first night. Their standard menu was utterly superb. Extremely well-judged, not leaving us bloated and beautifully crafted. Great service from a young crew. The pool is beautifully sited in a French garden. Understandably the hotel is built around the evening meal, however, the breakfast was not to... More

This is a complex of old buildings in a quiet corner of a quiet village with a one star Michelin restaurant. The staff is exceedingly friendly and helpful. Way above the norm. They really try to take care of you. It is furnished in an antique style. The bathrooms are ultra modern. It does need a little maintenance: door handles... More

We had the multi-course set menu in the Gastronomic Restaurant last week whilst staying with friends in the village. The service was excellent and the food superb. Being a fussy-eater, I'm always apprehensive about taster menus but there was not one dish that I did not enjoy. Value for money? You can certainly eat more elsewhere for a lot less... More

Stayed for 4 days with my daughter and her 2 children what a wonderful experience. The staff are so helpful and accomodating nothing is to much trouble for them. The hotel is so tastefully furnished and the rooms very comfortable, the grounds are beautiful, wish we could have stayed longer. We had a car and found so many places to... More

How one is greeted when arriving at a lodging establishment almost always sets a level of expectation in the mind of the guest as to the quality of service likely to follow. The warm and energetic greeting my wife and I received at reception when checking in here made us feel immediately that we were in a special place. Both... More

Amazing hotel with an excellent room, well apartment! Beautiful setting with classic limestone Chateaux with tons of charm. Room very comfortable, with large King sized bed in separate room, large bathroom with separate shower and bath, and beautiful sitting room. Nice desk beside the window to write in your journal. We had some wonderful days experiencing the charm and personal service at this great hotel. You will be fascinated to see the outdoor serving in the summertime, under the threes with lightning that just makes the magic of the moment.

We had a beautiful large " apartment" type suite with entrance and sitting room. Good air conditioning. The bathroom was a bit small but the shower was nice with good pressure. The grounds and gardens are stunning. Little ferns growing in tiny cracks in the walls and beautiful trimmed shrubs. The pool was quit cool, not heated, but refreshing for... More
