The Golden Frog Inn is a piece of paradise here in El Valle de Anton. Newly remodeled in early 2020, the villa's larger guest units are now equipped with fully stocked kitchens and cable TVs to better accommodate guests for longer stays. The villa is located in a very quiet, peaceful area of El Valle. The 42 foot pool, the sunsets, and spectacular bird watching make for a wonderful tropical get-away. We just spent five days at the Golden Frog Inn in El Valle and only wish we could have stayed longer. The rooms are very nice, the grounds and pool are lovely, and the restaurant, Volcancito’s (Mexican) is first rate. The staff couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. We are definitely planning to return. (Although many guests have a car, the inn is only about a mile outside of El Valle, so we were able to walk or take a short taxi ride into or back from town.)

First time in El Valle. Only stayed one night on our way west. The grounds had luscious plants and flowers everywhere and you can see the mountain tops all over. The air is cooler and there is a strong breeze through this valley (no bugs). If I had more time would have loved to find a guide and do some hiking to the tops. The staff was gracious and lovely and we felt at home and at ease. Also the town itself had a mix of restaurants and bars to try.

Though I spent just one night at The Golden Frog Inn, I can offer a few points from my experience: - The staff here was unfailingly helpful. When my car battery died, they were ready to assist with jumper cables right away. What could have been a stressful experience was quickly solved thanks to the wonderful manager on duty (I forget her name but she was both kind and efficient). - The room was minimalist in design but extremely clean and possessing a nice, firm mattress, strong air conditioning and hot water in the shower. - The grounds are lush and well-tended, with a friendly dog and the constant sound of birds. I took a morning hike on the trail immediately behind the hotel and it afforded some stunning views of the town. - Lastly, the breakfast was hearty and delicious (try the omelette) with tropical fruits and breads. Happy hour was a little quieter than I expected but the drinks were top-notch. In all, a solid lodging run by people who truly care for their guests.…

I highly recommend The Golden Frog Inn for a stay in El Valle. Beautiful, quiet, relaxing surroundings with friendly staff, good food, amazing views, birdlife, and a nice pool. Set up on a hill overlooking the valley and surrounding mountains, but with very easy access to town and everything in the area. Clean, comfortable rooms with beautiful bathroom and shower. Stylish room with lovely mountain view balcony. All utilities needed were there. Staff was friendly and always helpful. Breakfast and dinner was great. Location is great, allows some relaxation as it is a bit away from the city. We recommend it!

Perfect place for exploring the beautiful nature of El Valle and surroundings. Accomodation and restaurant of high standard and welcoming personell. We recommend this hotel for people seeking nature, peace and relaxation. If driving from Panama City be aware that the road via Sora recommended by Google is closed with gates.

We stayed at this hotel which is a bit hard to find the first time. Our room was upstairs (no elevator) so we had to lug up the luggage. Our room had a balcony and it was lovely to see the view (of the pool and the mountains). It was very very windy when we were there.

This lovely little hotel backs onto a mountain side. Sounded by lush flora and fauna. Spectacular views from the patio. Our rooms was clean, and inviting. Bed was so comfy and luxurious. The bathroom was tiled with larger walk-in shower. Our favourite thing was coffee on the deck in the morning, taking in the views. We were surprised by how windy this town is, especially at night. Not a bad thing but you will need a light jacket. Would highly recommend this great little hotel.

Very nice, peaceful place with immaculately clean rooms and a fine balcony overlooking the valley (at least on my side). The menu is something of a Mexican fusion, which was a bit disappointing as I was looking for Panama cuisine, but it worked out. Bed was nice and new, and the room had a refrigerator, which was handy for cooling some juice for the many stores in the area, and a coffee maker. The first morning there, my wife and I were drinking coffee and a toucan flew over... priceless! Good location near most of El Valle's attractions. Air conditioning works well too. I'd go again.

The hotel was fantastic. Very friendly staff and very good restaurant. Complementary breakfast was wonderful with six options to choose from. Views were amazing and the pool was great after a day of hiking.
