Had a great time staying here with my brother for just over a week. It is the perfect location in Mal Pais, right on the water with a lovely pool out front, and next door to tons of restaurants and bars. As there are some petty theft issues in this area, the rooms compensate with solid security features and a...

If you're traveling to the beach in Costa Rica, it simply doesn't get any better than Hotel Casa Azul. It is one of the ONLY properties in the Santa Teresa/Mal Pais area that is RIGHT ON THE BEACH. It is also the best-located property with regard to the heart of the town -- within 100 meters of all the best...

As far as I know it's the best location in Santa Teresa. Located in the center of the town, close to the restaurants and supermarkets. But still not directly at the road, so it's quiet and free of dust of the road. The big thing of this casa is the garden with the pool directly at the beach! Amazing views...and...

After a long day of traveling which included an amazing ferry ride from Puntarenas we reached Santa Teresa and landed at Casa Azul. We arrived at night so we were not able to fully appreciate the setting until the morning daybreak. I was absolutely caught off guard when I opened the curtains to my beachfront room to see the beauty...

Having travelled to Santa Teresa & Malpais on several different occassions, i can honestly say that Casa Azul offers the best value for a truly beachfront location. Morning walks on the beach, excellent surf right outside our front door, watching sunsets from the pool, and falling asleep to the sound of the waves are some of the many reasons we...

I joined my husband and adult son for a wonderful stay at Casa Azul. They would surf every day while I enjoyed the private pool. Casa Azul sits right on the beach and has an easy walking path to the ocean. In the evenings we enjoyed the peace and quiet while sitting around the pool watching the sunset. My family...

This is one of the only places right next to the beach in Santa Teresa. It is a lovely house with a beautiful garden and direct sea view. There even is a private access right to the beach. The owner Richard was very friendly and helpfull. The pool was very clean and quite big. All the premises were in a...

If you are headed to Santa Teresa to surf then there is no better place to stay than Casa Azul. From the house it is about a 20 yard walk around the pool (the best place to de salinize after a quick rinse in the outside shower) and through the grass yard to the beach. Every morning I would wake...

“Our group stayed in the rooms on the first floor and they all had AC which was lovely. If you want a beautiful view to wake up to, definitely get one of the two ocean view rooms, but the small room in the back has the best price and is still well appointed, just without the balcony doors looking out on the property.”
