My boyfriend and I had a great stay in Hotel Casa Azul. We stayed in the little back room which is small and basic but comfortable and had everything that we needed. The hotel itself is great, Richard and Eduardo are very laid back and helpful. The pool is beautiful and we spent lazy afternoons by the pool or swinging...

Steps to the beach above average for Santa Theresa and the food at the restaurant was good. The room was cool. Had a loft and plenty of room for all four of us. There are hotel style rooms in the back but we only stayed in the cabin

Our family of 4 just got back from staying at Casa Azul in Santa Teresa Costa Rica. THE BEST location on the beach! Our sons surfed everyday as did my husband. I relaxed in the covered cabana with occasional dips in the pool. Very relaxing listening to the surf while reading many books. The staff was friendly as was the...

We went on January my sister, my mom and me. My mom is a little older and has an injury with her arm so we needed a place for her to be close to everything. We went on public transportation from San José and it was a short walk from the bus stop to the Hotel. Richard, the owner was...

My fiancé and I spent ten days in Costa Rica in three different locations, including a luxury resort hotel but casa azul was our favorite spot by miles. Absolutely perfect location in town but set back from the road and steps from the beach. The pool and hammocks were lovely and Richard the owner was incredibly friendly and helpful. Cannot...

It's a nice and relax place with that vibe of ''chilling''... not to ''chic'' but everything you need! Perfect place for surfer! We can see the wave from your room, you just need to grap your surf and go... walk for a minute and you're in the Ocean! Beds are comfortable, rooms are clean and you can ear the wave...

Richard the owner is great about making sure you are ok starting with the reservations, great communication. This is our 2nd visit and it won't be our last. I don't think there are adequate words to describe just how perfect it is here. Starting from your drive down the driveway in, it's picture perfect. The pool is a BONUS perfect...

We enjoyed 10 days at the Casa Azul over the Christmas/New Year holiday. It is by far the best location in Santa Teresa, right in the downtown area as well as on the beach. Richard, the owner, is very clear about the expectations for his property so there were no surprises. We have already asked to book again next year!

On the water, clean, well maintained, superior grounds, clean, well maintained pool, secure, excellent surf break for all skill levels, central location to great restaurants & stores and reasonably priced. After several years of visiting CR, Nica, El Salv, this is my favorite. It is a royal pain to get here which means less crowds. This is a superior hotel...

Didn't have a place to stay our first night so we asked for suggestion from our shuttle driver. Found it easily on the beach but just far back enough from the road and holiday crowd. Richard the owner showed us our options and we couldn't be happier with the accommodation and price. Clean and comfortable with a view and pool...

“Our group stayed in the rooms on the first floor and they all had AC which was lovely. If you want a beautiful view to wake up to, definitely get one of the two ocean view rooms, but the small room in the back has the best price and is still well appointed, just without the balcony doors looking out on the property.”
