We have now stayed in three separate villas at florblanca and they were all perfect for us, but the real reason to stay here is the staff. The people who work at Florblanca are just special. From the reservations manager who coordinated our rooms and so many other details (car rentals, atv rentals…) to the concierges to the servers, everyone we encountered was pleasant and helpful. The resort is located ON the beach, which is absolutely where you want to stay in Santa Teresa. There are lots of beautiful, expensive Airbnbs in the hills-we stayed in one our second week, but I HIGHLY recommend staying on the beach, especially if you surf. It’s just better. Look no further if you want a comfortable air conditioned room with wifi in Santa Teresa.

We could not have had a better experience! The Spa was absolutely beautiful and we had some of the most incredible massages, in particular, the Abhyanga with Jessica was mind blowing, she is truly a healer.
Our Villa was perfectly rustic and open air with the comfort of A/C in the bedroom.
Stefanos yoga classes were top notch.
All of the staff was friendly and the whole place has such a peaceful vibe.
Being just north of downtown Santa Teresa you don’t have to deal with the chaos and dust of town.

Solid, not spectacular, overall. Charging 5-star price ($750/nt) for 3/4 star, dated room. Exterior living room and bathroom — open to nature without AC — means you stay in the cooled bedroom and that raccoons come nightly to check your mini-fridge. Christmas dinner at Nectar was a highlight. Staff was very pleasant and responsive.

We spent a few weeks in Santa Teresa and had to change hotels 3 times so got a good feel for what would be considered the high end hotel market. Flor Blanca was beyond disappointing and so incredibly overpriced.
The rooms are a cool concept and having the outdoor living space was nice. The bathroom being outside seems appealing for the setting but not when you have to go in the middle of the night and there are bugs, bats and possibly raccoons everywhere, it is slightly terrifying.
The linens are cheap and they only provide 2 pillows per room which are not comfortable. The concierge service is not visible and they are so incredibly slow to respond. We ended up booking 95% of our dinners, trips, etc on our own because of their delays which is not what you are paying for at this price point.
The restaurant is fair. As a gluten free, pescatarian I had 1-2 choices on the menu. Items they had listed as gluten free were not available. On Valentine’s Day, they did not even have a catch of the day or other seafood alternatives. They did not share this until we had sat down and then were left scrambling to find somewhere to eat. In a town where seafood is plentiful and the primary item on menus this is unheard of. Our friends, who were staying off site, arrived before we did for dinner and the server questioned our reservation, was rude and unwelcoming and made them sit and wait for our arrival before seating us in a completely empty restaurant. We know why it was empty!
Guests are also not welcome to join you at the pool or the beach, even when no one is there and if they have lunch or dinner, since they are not staying at the hotel. They are so rude about this policy and will remind you via text if they see anyone on site. This was quite the opposite of other high end hotels we stayed at in Santa Teresa which were so welcoming.
Parking is a nightmare. It’s so incredibly tight and overfilled, often leading you to park on the street- especially when outsiders come for yoga. Stefanos’ yoga class is the only thing worth visiting this hotel for.
We could not get out of here fast enough. This hotel is grossly overpriced and the staff is rude which is the most disappointing part in a land of incredible, hospitable people. Save your money!

While spending a month in Costa Rica ( Pinilla ) we decided to venture down to Santa Teresa for four days. Clay @walkonwateradventures recommended we stay here and thank goodness we listened. We arrived the day they opened after being shut down due to Covid. We were greeting immediately when we pulled into the parking. The staff was very safe and cautious but also so gracious. We checked in and were taken to our villa. AMAZING is all I can say. The pictures we saw online were beautiful however being in the villa was 100x better. The entire staff was truly amazing. We dined in at the resort numerous times from breakfast , lunch , sushi, dinner. I will say our meals each time were amazing.  The beaches were so beautiful along with the sunsets. I was able to get in a private Pilates class which was awesome. The instructor truly knew what she was doing and really made me sore :) The nature surrounding us was incredible. I would highly recommend if you travel to Santa Teresa that you stay at FlorBlanca.

This is my happy place. We had the best experience at Florblanca. The staff is extremely friendly and professional. They went above and beyond in every facet of our stay. Adrian, Allison, and Oscar were especially wonderful. Our open-air villa was beautifully appointed and the air conditioned bedroom was perfect for sleeping. The food was seriously the best. Healthy and delicious options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We didn’t want to leave. The beach is clean with spectacular sunset views. Serenity and bliss live here.

It was amazing, when we first got there we got coconuts and that was absolutely delicious and refreshing, we got a tour of the area showing us the spa, restaurant and more. We stayed in the surf house which had an absolutely beautiful view of the beach. We frequently walked on the beach which was wonderful and highly convenient for the place. The staff is wonderful especially the waiters/waitresses! The concierge’s were really helpful and friendly to us and that was just amazing! 10/10 experience and i would highly recommend to anyone who loves the beach and just wants a nice getaway.

The Santa Teresa area may not be for everyone, and that is a good thing. For my family, this little part of the world is our paradise, and Florblanca is a key part of it. Over the past 20 years or so we have stayed at least several days there on 4 or 5 occasions. When we travel elsewhere, we can't help but compare it to Florblanca, and other venues never match up.
Aside from the beautiful surroundings, accommodations, beaches and ability to be so close to nature, it is the people of Florblanca who make it our favorite place. Without exception, every person working on the Florblanca team is kind, professional, courteous and willing to go the extra mile for whatever the need may be. This year, even after we left Florblanca (only because we could not book a villa longer) and traveled to a second venue, the kind staff kept in touch with us, making sure our trip continued smoothly and that we had our travel and transfer arrangements in good order.
We look forward to our next opportunity to be in our favorite part of the world.

Five stars for ambience, food, massages, view and especially the Florblanca team! I have been coming here for more than five years and it feels like my second home and my extended family. This is the perfect place for a casual breakfast or smoothie or a special occasion (I celebrated my 50th birthday here). Everything is excellent!

If you like to be off the beaten track, in boutique, laid back luxury, this is your spot. Santa Theresa is a bustling surf and yoga centre, it’s not yet over developed and still has back country charm and character! This is not a “big resort” environment and let’s hope it stays that way ! The team at Florblanca are amazing and helped us arrange travel to and from seamlessly and with great care and attention. We found paradise.

Hi, Our beach from is created by amazing natural pools on low tide. If you walk 5 min to the left, there you could swin and surf as well. Please note that along Santa Teresa there are a lot of dangerous currents, so be careful at all times.

Dear Gmlgraham, Thank you for your interest in our property! Concerning your questions, in August we experience some rainfalls, generally during the evening or nighttime. In September the rains tend to become heavier since is our Green Season. However, weather on these days is very changeable but that has been the forecast in those dates. Please take into account that the road is "dirty road" and is not paved so there will always be a little dust even if it rains. Smoking in our property area is outside the restaurant and the villas. They cannot smoke inside the property in any place. We offer bottles of water in the villa (additional cost) but we have a water treatment plant which cleans and purifies all the water in any faucet. Florblanca is the unique property in Santa Teresa that use this water treatment. We can guarantee that you will have a SAFE WATER to drink. We will be happy to have you in our Green Season! Regards, Reservations Manager

There is a beautiful pool. Resort is on the beach. Great waters but careful of rip tides!!! I am unsure of the complimentary items but the monkey views are free! We stayed at a house down the road and ate here and used their gym amenities and beach access once. It's very beautiful. We would inquire about staying here if we return to Santa Teresa.
