We paid upfront for a vacation that was supposed to happen June 2020-I called to cancel well outside of the 60 day requirement for full refund-we booked the whole trip on credit card that was charged instantly but apparently they are not able to instantly refund-it has been over two months of excuses and we have not seen a dime-so disappointing
This is my happy place. We had the best experience at Florblanca. The staff is extremely friendly and professional. They went above and beyond in every facet of our stay. Adrian, Allison, and Oscar were especially wonderful. Our open-air villa was beautifully appointed and the air conditioned bedroom was perfect for sleeping. The food was seriously the best. Healthy and delicious options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We didn’t want to leave. The beach is clean with spectacular sunset views. Serenity and bliss live here.
Florblanca is truly small hidden paradise. It´s green, peaceful and beautiful resort by the long white beach. Hotel staff is so lovely and service is excellent. Food is delicious and you can just relax and enjoy your stay at this unique hotel. There are every day also high quality pilates and yoga lessons. Pilates studio is well equipped and the teachers are professionals. Well come back!
It's hard to put into words how amazing Florbanca Resort truly is...the accommodations are comfortable, open and have incredible views. The food was the freshest I've ever had and the service was above and beyond. I cannot say enough good things. I cried leaving not only the beaches/resort, but cried having to leave the people as well. I'm beyond grateful for picking a resort with people that made our trip unforgettable. Everyone was so personable and gracious. I cannot WAIT to go back! Thank you Florblanca!!
First a few words for this beautiful country in general, for the area of Santa Teresa, its wildlife, its generous and nice habitants, its vegetation, playas, surf, its food, and all the things you can do; it’s really the pura vida and you will enjoy every moment of your trip. The city of Santa Teresa is full of cool cafes, hip restaurants, more traditional, surf spots, and although it can get dusty, it’s lively and fun. It compares to Tulum in some ways, but with a more surfer vibe which we loved and more authentic (sorry Tulum, you still has a special place in our hearts but we have to say that we did prefer Santa Teresa) What made our trip even more special is the resort Florblanca, its location, its lavish vegetation, the birds, the monkeys, the flowers, the incomparable service from all the staff, and the quality of the food of the restaurant Nectar. We visited Florblanca the first week of November 2019 and everything was perfect. This place is an oasis which offers a personnalized service to all of its guests. Our private surf house was located direct on the beach and offered amazing views and privacy at all times. To describe the exceptional service we experienced, I will give few exemples only to try to illustrate although you have to live it to understand. The concierge accomodated EVERY requests our family had from having a cooler prepared for surf at sunset, finding the best tours at last minute, organizing fishing trips with the best fishermen in town, going to rent our ATVs, surfing lessons at the hour we want with only the nicest and best instructors. The staff and chef at the restaurant and bar were “out of this world” nice: each person at the restaurant knew every activity we did, were inquiring of our well-being, were flexible in our changes or adjustements we wanted in the menu and even suggesting adjustments to our likings. “Perhaps you would like us to bring vegetables with your guacamole today in addition to the chips” knowing I ordered that once. To my son: “you like your pancakes that way right?”. The food is so good you have to force yourself to go out to other restaurants although the restaurants in town were very good. The chef Maria Belen is amazing: my 12 year- old son caught two big tunas, fishing one day and when we came back the chef inspected professionaly the fish and prepare it for us, as sushis, rolls, sashimi, grilled tuna. By the way, the sushis there are insane- and belive me we are very picky in that area having visited high- end restaurants all over the world and even in Japan. But she is a top notch chef in all standards. The personnel of the restaurant and bar are nice, attentive, warm, and FLEXIBLE. I never heard the word “No” or “I don’t know” once during our 7 nights stay. I asked once how come the staff was that nice: one of the employees told me that the owners of the place -a man and his wife- were exceptional individuals who treated them well and really cared about their well- beings. Well we felt it and it made all the difference in the world. Maria, Ruth, Yuri, Kendall, Oscar, Berneth, Luis, Alison, Vini, the concierges: you made this trip one of the most memorable experiences my family had.
