We travelled to Santa Teresa/Mal Pais with zero plan and no reservations. Seriously had no idea where to stay and travelled back and forth hot and sweaty on the main road. We pulled in to one place and they said they had no vacancies try the place next door. We fell in love right away. The lovely manager showed us... More

I stayed in this hotel as part of the Pura Vida All-inclusive Surf Camp. The rooms were spacious and clean. The food, beverages and libations were excellent at the restaurant. The spa services were acceptable, but the open air beachfront location of said services made it a one of a kind experience. Doing yoga in the oceanfront studio was magical.... More

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Tropical Latino very much. The reception was welcoming and helpful. Our oceanfront suite was very clean, well stocked, and had incredible views of the beautiful Santa Teresa beaches. I loved the daily yoga classes, Jessica is an awesome teacher, and the food at the restaurant was fresh and healthy. Great smoothies! We also liked... More

My initial room assignment was located out by the entrance and close to the main city road which was very noisy. It was also difficult to cool. I requested a move from the office which they were able to accommodate. My new room was better located; closer to the beach and easier to cool. This was the first week of... More

I spent my birthday here with a dear and best friend. Room 12 opened up directly to the sand with a view of the sea and the sound of crashing waves. It was a dream. My birthday was so special. The time spent on the balcony are among my favorite memories. The staff is lovely, and the spa services are... More

From the moment we arrived I knew this hotel was different. Each of the large bungalows is situated well apart from each other down little gravel walk ways set in lush tropical gardens. There are iguanas running about and many kinds of tropical birds too. Even the occasional troop of monkeys swings through the trees. The restaurant is lovely and... More

This is a great little spot that is very underrated. It has beautiful views of the ocean and the pool is clean and relaxing. The restaurant is a little pricey, but there is a grocery store right across the street from the property and you can pick up something to eat and drink there. If you are looking to get... More

Tropico Latino was a fantastic base for our 7-night stay in the Santa Teresa area. We are a family with two boys ages 13 and 15. I found this hotel because of the availability of a two-bedroom suite on the beach- it was a pleasant alternative to paying for two separate rooms. This property is lovely. Beautiful, lush plants offer... More
