We really enjoyed our stay at tropical Latino. I highly recommend room #24 which is a klamping tent, spacious, clean and the best part it’s right on the beach. Also you have a large terrace with a jacuzzi and lounge chair! Breakfast was good and staff pleasant! Pura vida!

My dad and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tropico Latino. Our routine consisted mostly of beach walks, a lovely breakfast with fresh juices (included), going for coffee and pastries at The Bakery, naptime in the hammocks by the sea, watching the monkeys forage high up in the trees. Towards the end of the day the beach would fill up with locals, their dogs and the handful of tourists to watch the sunset, which is simply breathtaking. The hotel itself is wonderfully lush and tropical, we would see squirrels, monkeys different kinds of lizards and birds scurry around. The staff very friendly and accommodating. The bungalow had ample space and two giant comfortable king size beds. Like sleeping on a cloud. And for the brief work interruptions a solid WiFi signal. What more can I say.. I could live there indefinitely. On one of our days we drove to the nearby Montezuma waterfall which I can also highly recommend! Although there had been news of strikes and road blocks on our route to and from Santa Teresa - San José we encountered zero traffic stops. Like most people in Costa Rica, we used the Waze app to navigate. The ferry was equally punctual.

We last stayed at trópico latino before they built the beach house where we stayed and wow! It was all perfect. The view, the pool and the beds. The kitchen was fully stocked. It was a gorgeous space a few steps from the beach and it was spectacular. The breakfast was so yummy. Given the circumstances, the staff was wonderful and went above and beyond to assist us. I’m so glad we made this brief stopover at trópico Latino - so worth it.

Very nice hotel right on the beach, in front of a good surfing spot. Good beach restaurant and very friendly staff! The swimming pool at sunset is a big plus after the surfing sessions. We will be back soon! Thanks Tropico🙏
