My first trip to Costa Rica and it was truly amazing. The Jungle house was a great location to stay - a short walk to the beach, lots of restaurants, grocery store and shops! My room was clean and I had my own personal air conditioner and I appreciated controlling my own temperature at night. It was such a unique... More

Awesome, amazing vacation! Perfect spot for a family get-away. Beautiful beach, convenient location, multiple transportation options to get around the peninsula. Conveniently within walking distance to grocery store, many types of restaurants, bakery, coffee shop. Best of all the staff Kerri, Vill, Sammy, Lorenzo are the most accommodating, eager to please and share knowledge of the area. Organized many excursions... More

WOW, I just have to say that I had amazing spanish lessons here and the best surf instructor. I had maybe total of 4 instructors in costa rica and this place was the best. I lucked out in that I stayed in a double but had no roomate when i was here which was pretty lucky given one of us... More

The Jungle House is a great place to stay really close to the beach and in dorms for 2 people who have nice-running ACs. The area surounding it is really nice and in the center of town. Hermit krabs can be seen in the backyard which are awesome

Ended up here randomly. Were suppose to stay one night, stayed four and wish we could have stayed longer. amazing people, nice kitchen, close to everything (at the same time as it feels like your in the jungle), supersweet beds, good surfboardrentals and a lot of good stuff in general coming from this house which for one is teaching English... After travelling to many beaches and staying in hostels, this is a breath of fresh air. Unlike other hostels in the area this one is made of stone which keeps it much cooler during the day and into the night. The common area has a beautiful design and the kitchen is the best I have seen in a hostel to... More

When you factor in all the benefits this house offers, you're going to come up short looking for a better place. Its centrally located in arguably the best part of town because you are but a couple minute walk to anything you need. Supermarket, restaurants and bakeries, surf shops, vehicle rentals, tourism center, beaches, yoga studios... basically anything you could... More

The most perfect costa rican house! Lots of space to lounge around. We were a group of 7 and could easily find time alone or group all of us together to share a meal. The 5 downstairs rooms with AC made sleeping incredibly comfortable and the outdoor yoga hut and pool were ideal for the INSANELY hot afternoons. Less than... More

The Jungle House is perfectly located in Santa Teresa! Its in the middle of town but noise levels were never an issue for our stay as everything is sort of protected by the Jungle surroundings. We did not get to meet Joe, but he was very helpful in setting up our whole experience. The Jungle house is a beautiful complex!... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Your group is big and adventurous. Together, you like to try new local dishes, surf the best breaks, zip-line through the jungle, and wake up to the sound of howler monkeys in the trees just outside your window. Standard hotel accommodations or resorts with pre-planned activities may work for some groups, but yours would rather have flexible schedules to fill with your own excursions. The Jungle House is close to all the action, making this easy & convenient. If this sounds like you guys, then The Jungle House in Santa Teresa Costa Rica, is your place. Located smack in the middle of a stunning trifecta of ocean, jungle, and the town’s main street, The Jungle House simultaneously offers easy access to local attractions and a sense of privacy and seclusion. At The Jungle House you'll find bold, rustic décor—including dining tables shaped like surfboards and hand crafted hardwood beams & furniture throughout—in a comfortable, relaxed setting with Zen-like peace. At 3400 square feet, with seven bedrooms and space for up to 14 guests, we are one of the largest vacation rental houses right in the heart of town. And, one of the most affordable.Unlike other area accommodations, there’s no hill to contend with when you want to get some sun or test the surf. Just take a relaxing 5 minute walk on a flat path. We’re so close to the Pacific, you can hear it crashing just behind the row of towering jungle trees at the back of the property. If you’re unsure where to start with your adventures and activities, we can help. We’ll happily set you up with fishing trips, zip-line canopy tours, a kayak adventure, or a yoga instructor who will come out to the property and guide you through a series of poses on your private, open-air yoga studio. Or, learn to surf with a talented instructor. One of Costa Rica’s best breaks is in the Jungle House’s backyard! After spending all day working up an appetite, you can either step right onto the main road for a variety of restaurants, or cross the street to the frutería for fresh veggies, fruits and eggs. Prepare a meal in the house’s large open kitchen, which is fully equipped with quality cookware and appliances. There’s also a supermarket, just a 3-minute walk, for everything else you might need. We can arrange delivery of delicious fresh fish to you as well, which you can grill on the outdoor barbecue while everyone cools off in the private pool.Forbes Magazine calls Santa Teresa one of the world’s top ten most breathtaking beaches—with its volcanic formations, lush tropical scenery, and diverse wildlife—and we know you’ll agree.
