Gorgeous, friendly little hotel where we stayed for a week in a 2-storey flatlet. We had a hammock for 2 right outside our door, beside the swimming pool set in beautiful gardens. There is a beautiful studio where my son led meditation sessions each evening. The breakfasts and bar meals are all delicious. The staff are most helpful and ready...

Otro Lado is a beautiful oasis all on its own. Rooms are very clean and the hotel provides a delicious breakfast. The pool is also very clean and security is provided 24 hours. We loved the hotel so much that we decided to stay two extra nights. The hotel owners were extremely accommodating and made our dreams come true! Thank...

Clean and cozy room. Nice pool and grounds. Good shower with nice shampoo and shower gel on tap. Breakfast is included, so good value for money for the rooms. They have suites that can sleep more people but we did not need that much space. There was some construction noise in the morning, but no chanting or street noise.

My friend and I had a wonderful stay at Otro Lado. Every detail at Otro Lado is thoughtful and inviting - from the beautiful gardens, to the hammocks by the yoga deck, to the fresh tropical flower in our room. The breakfasts were simple, delicious and healthy. Everyone is kind and easy-going, and very helpful when it came to assistance...

If you are looking for a place to relax, enjoy the pool and have a little cocktail in the afternoon, do yourself a favour and AVOID this place. The first hour of our stay we were informed by the owners that we were not allowed to bring any beverages to the pool (even cans or plastic bottles) which was kind...

In the midst of mud, dust and bumpy roads there is a little gem of a hotel/restaurant called OtroLado. Once you walk up the driveway off the main road you enter a beautiful little paradise. My daughter recently got married in Montezuma and my family and I spent 10 days here while in Santa Teresa. Rooms were very clean, breakfast...

As all reviewers have shared, this is a clean, friendly oasis in a town with the worst dirt roads in Costa Rica. The rooms are nice and thoughtfully laid out. The hotel is next to a youth hostel so there was some music at night, but not loud enough to keep us awake. The two floor villas have kitchens and...

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights, Nov 1-4 by chance. The hotel we booked was closed when we arrived and we were directed to Otro Lado. We stayed in a double room the first night and upgraded to a villa when it became available. We were able to cook a meal in the kitchen and eat alfresco...

This was the BEST place we stayed in Costa Rica. The town was a bit of a challenge to get to, but so worth it! Very peaceful, great pool, nice rooms, awesome breakfast, relaxing! Close walk to the beach and necessities. Definitely recommended!

My boyfriend and I enjoy our two nights staying at this hotel. It's boutique, but the details of the common area, pool and rooms were perfect. The pool was small, but beautiful decorated, some rooms had hammocks. Everything about this place is peaceful. They provide a simple, local breakfast. The pets in the area are friendly, and don't cause harm....
