Wow. Just wow. I honestly do not think I can put into words how absolutely amazing our trip was. My husband and I booked a deluxe treehouse for 1 week as our Honeymoon. We chose the reef and rainforest package which included our meals and three excursions, plus local travel. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a Hamanasi driver who gave us a tour while driving to the resort. He was so knowledgeable about the area. Once we arrived at the resort itself we were completely awestruck. We could not get over how incredible literally everything was. And I mean literally. The room - highly recommend the deluxe treehouse! There is nothing like ending the day when a soak in the jacuzzi on the porch listening to the wildlife. The room was spacious, clean, and well taken care of. The grounds - SO WELL MAINTAINED and beautiful! Incredible plant diversity and staff knowledge of everything was incredible. Special shoutout to the sustainable garden - the tour was amazing and we learned a lot. The excursions - we chose birding, canoeing, and snorkeling. Everything was so lovely and fun. Safety was always emphasized. Birding we say 68 species of birds! Canoeing we learned lots about local communities and plant life. Snorkeling was the best snorkeling we have ever had! our guide was so knowledgable and informative and the reef was just gorgeous. We saw sea turtles, eagle rays, numerous fish species, lobster, crab, and squid. The staff - Honestly, the staff made our trip. The place was gorgeous and nice, yes, but the staff were all incredible. I have dietary allergies, and they all knew that from the moment I met them. They all knew our names and which room we were in. They all knew what we were interested in. Just amazing. I even got a bad sunburn at one point (lol) and we were given fresh aloe vera plant prepared to be used. Just amazing. Special shoutout to some of our favorites - Stanley, Larry, Emelia, Lily, Angie, Leandra, Ems, Victor, John, Suzet, and Danisha. You guys made our vacation. The food - TO DIE FOR. Seriously. Eat everything. Every day. We missed no meals. So much fresh fish, fruit, and produce. Big fan of the "bread of the day". The restaurant itself is beautiful, too. Extras - Hopkins itself is awesome. Incredibly kind and friendly people. We had ice cream at Nice Cream, coffee/banana muffins at Kat's Coffee, and an awesome local lunch at Innie's. We also had a couples massage on the beach - so relaxing! Found some crocodiles at the croc pond, too! Bar prices were incredibly reasonable, and Happy Hour every afternoon cannot be beat! All in all, I would not have changed a single thing about this week long visit, except to stay longer. Go to Hamanasi. You will not regret it!

My husband and I traveled to Hamanasi for our 30th anniversary vacation and we were blown away by our experience. We are seasoned travelers who go on 2-3 trips a year and have stayed at some luxurious resorts, but Hamanasi far surpassed them all! Each and every staff member actually seems to LOVE what they do-their smiles and greetings are genuine. No request is too much trouble. As only one example, our first night at dinner, we asked if they had decaf iced tea. Our server said she would make some up for us. From then on, each time we were seated for meals, a decaf iced tea appeared immediately-even when we had different servers! There was a pitcher of it in the refrigerator labeled with our names. But it wasn't just the dining room service that excelled-each staff person we encountered from grounds to tour guides to room attendants displayed this genuine desire to greet you warmly and see what they could do to make your stay better. The diving was spectacular and the dive masters were all extremely knowledgeable and safety conscious. The coral reef is the healthiest and most diverse we have seen (and we dove the Great Barrier Reef!). Nurse and reef sharks were a common sight, as were rays and turtles. We were truly surprised when we had lunch on a small island during our Blue Hole dive and were led on a hike to a platform above the treeline. There we saw hundreds of red footed boobies sitting on eggs or chicks and frigate birds courting, displaying their red chests. Some were only 8 feet away! But you don't have to go anywhere to see wildlife. Iguanas, birds, and crocs are abundant right on the property! We were housed in the last Deluxe Treehouse in the resort and enjoyed sitting in our hot tub outside while watching all types of birds in the trees around our deck. As everyone has said in past reviews, the food was fabulous! Fresh fish in abundance, veggies from their garden on property (the grounds staff is happy to tell you all about their organic farming techniques) and beautiful presentations. Keep in mind that you can always order a half portion of an entree. Also, they compost all leftover food to fertilize the garden. My husband went inshore fishing one day and had a blast. The guide was very knowledgable and friendly. He caught bonefish and permit. I could go on and on, but I will say in summary that you SHOULD NOT HESITATE to book Hamanasi if you are looking for relaxation, adventure, luxury, beyond excellent service, outrageous food in a unique, authentic setting. We have NEVER returned to any place we have visited in 30 years, but we are definitely going back to Hamanasi!

I came with my son on a dive trip. This place exceeded all of our expectations. We were in a beach front room close to the main lodge. They had many choice for food and were very attentive to all our needs. We enjoyed many adventures including scuba diving, Mayflower hike, Cave hike, and zip lining. Its a small resort where you get to know other guests during your stay and the staff know you by name. We were there during a hectic time but truly enjoyed every minute. Can't wait to return.
