Spent a week at the Parrot Cove Lodge. Highlights were our staff interactions. We were so impressed by the Front Desk staff (Emma) and our Dining Staff (Leticia & Mike). They always made us feel incredibly welcomed and were prompt at meeting our needs every day. Our room was an average room with 2 queen beds. The AC worked great. The beds were comfortable. Things that were lacking in the room were lights, no bedside lamp, no light at coffee area (had to use cell phone light to make coffee. No hooks to hang towels (bath or beach). No suitcase rack or place to put your suitcase. No dresser or area to unpack except a very small closet for hang up clothes). The food was mediocre and poorly represented on the menu. We didn't receive any information regarding any excursions being offered and had to rely on another hotel to help us find a boat for snorkeling. Unfortunately the beach has massive erosion, large amounts of sargassum (seaweed) and made it almost impossible to access the sea. I believe there are better hotel/resort options for my future stay, many airbnb options to consider as well.…
Recently spent 3 nights here and just loved it. There are fancier places to stay in the area, but you can't beat this place for friendly staff, and a comfortable, warm, beautiful setting, not to mention the fantastic food. After reading other reviews, it definitely lived up to my expectations.
Stayed for 2 nights at Parrot Cove Lodge and had a wonderful experience. The staff was super friendly and responsive. Arranged a transfer from Dangriga and the shuttle was very comfortable. When my hot water wasn't working in my room they upgraded me for free to an Ocean View suite, which was also beautiful! Rooms were very clean with good amenities, including free water and coffee. Loved the little pool and beachfront area with chairs to relax on or you could try out the hammock swings off the dock. Also had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant, which was tasty and the staff was very attentive. Loved everything about my stay at Parrot Cove!
I stayed here over spring break witth a large group and LOVED it! The staff made us feel welcome and helped with anything we needed. Cafe Rob's gourmet Cafe has amazing service and food. Mike and Leticia served us amazing food. If you have the chance, you should definitely stay and dine here.
Parrot Cove is a fantastic place to stay right on the beach. The rooms are clean and nice. The staff is really friendly and the food at Chef Robs is excellent. The view from the upstairs suites is breathtaking.
Came to Hopkins for the last part of our honeymoon in Belize and it was so relaxing and fun. First of all, if the oceanfront rooms are available, please please please book or upgrade – they are so worth it! The view, the room size and your own private deck and hammock are amazing. We stayed one night in a poolside room, which was fine – clean but basic but Maritsa was able to upgrade us to an oceanfront for the remainder of the trip. Shout out to the amazing and great staff here – Maritsa at the front who answered our emails prior to arrival, let me into our room when my husband locked me out ☹ and got us an upgrade to our oceanfront suite and was just so fun to talk to, Emma also at the front who answered our questions, coordinated cabs for us and also fun to talk to, Tish who is the sweetest and had the best breakfast service (she made us fry jacks one morning after I had asked about them randomly) and was a one woman show, Mike, her hubby who is so friendly and amazing dinner service and Erwin, who drove us from and to the Dangriga airport and shared knowledge about the towns during our drive, and the whole crew (Harani (spelling?) and Maya Mike) and everyone else who always smiled and asked us how our day was. The good – just great and friendly staff, free breakfast (go for Tish), the oceanfront suites are amazing, free bikes to ride into town, and free filtered water stations! Things to know – this is a petite resort at the end of the hotel strip. If it’s not an oceanfront suite, the rooms are pretty basic but clean and comfortable. No lunch service or alcoholic beverages besides beer and wine. We had the corner suite, room 15, and the TV didn’t work – not a huge deal and we didn’t complain since we’re not there to watch TV but nice option during downtime. Really enjoyed our stay and the staff here is amazing!…
We hosted our entire family at this lovely beachfront lodge. With four ocean front rooms, balconies overlooking the Caribbean Sea, and Chef Rob’s amazing cuisine it was a perfect 10 day getaway. The staff was kind and solicitous and engaging. They helped us make all sorts of excursion and adventure arrangements and even changing them at the last minute to accommodate certain people in our party (happened a lot!). The massage therapists were amazing, highly skilled with great technique….made all the better by the setting (under thatched roof over the Caribbean with waves rolling onto beach). We give Parrot Cove Lodge 20 thumbs up….highly recommend for a laid back, comfortable and friendly environment that is just perfect for unwinding on the beach or launching off for jungle hikes and fishing excursions.…
lovely stay here and great food from chef Rob. We spent our time relaxing and loved it. Really went to Hopkins for the Bioluminescent tour but conditions were not right, great pool and beach though. we had our Christmas eve dinner here and it was excellent
We came here on a recommendation of a friend not knowing exactly what to expect. Parrot cove lodge is the perfect combo of casual beach front accommodations with the bonus of fine dining by the sea. Chef Rob and his staff exceeded out expectations. Super helpful setting up the best excursions and feeding us delicious meals including fresh mircro greens from their garden . With so many choices of places to stay, Parrot Cove lodge tops them all . The beach front rooms have the most dreamy view . Don’t forget to stop and spend some time talking with Rico their new parrot, he loves being called Pretty boy;) We enjoyed the chefs table our final night , don’t miss it . And make sure to book a massage on the dock and feel like you are in heaven ! Having stayed at many luxury hotels around the world , this place was a real treat for a warm and welcoming local experience. We loved it !…
We booked at Beaches & Dreams, but they were full so they booked us at Parrot Cove, with our meals at B&D. Our room (second floor oceanfront) was pleasant and comfortable. The staff were extremely pleasant, friendly and efficient, both here and at B&D. A wide variety of day-tours are offered and were well run. Would heartily recommend both.
