Amazing people, excellent food and wonderful accommodations. Took the entire family, we zip lined, we repelled the water fall and hiked the jungle, we relaxed on hammocks and stayed with the meal plan that had great selection and the food was incredible. Roberto and Milton our

Thank you for your review. I so enjoyed reading it because I strive to make sure everyone has a wonderful experience. I have a wonderful staff who are very helpful and always ready to assist. Bocawina is an awesome place because it’s the only resort property inside a national park. It’s a true rainforest, with 6 waterfalls, large wild Fig trees, tropical flowers, loads of wildlife both small and large. Last year the Biologists working with the university of Belize, set up many cameras studying the habitats of the Jaguars. They discovered that Bocawina is alive with wild cats. The Bocawina Falls trail is a major corridor for the Jaguars and Pumas. But not to worry as they travel at night. During the day, the birds are alive with song and at night the Jaguars, Pumas, Ocelots, Jacarundis, Marguays, Anteaters and Peccaries roam around. We know this from seeing the footage the Biologists show us when they check their cameras. It’s unbelievable. The one thing that is very important when coming to Belize, is bring bug spray! After many years of testing different ones to see which works the best, I found that 100% deet works great. You can purchase it at Walmart’s in the states. Also, just something to remember from my past experience. The first time I came to Belize on vacation, I stayed at a small resort in Hopkins, it was a rainy afternoon, so I stayed in my room and read a good book. I had purchased some mango cookies at the local Chinese market and had them sitting on the nightstand. I was so engrossed in my book and grabbed some cookies to eat without paying attention to them. Suddenly, I felt something crawling around my face. Here I am eating cookies with ants all over them. Talk about a panic moment! You have to remember that you cannot leave food around unless it is wrapped good or in a ziplock bag or container. But then, the producers of “Naked & Afraid” would think that was good protein!!

We spent 3 great days exploring the areas in the resort, and could easily have stayed longer! The staff were wonderful and the rooms very comfortable. Bird watching is easily done on the grounds, with or without a guide (but you will see and learn more with one of their

Bocawina Rainforest Resort is exceptionally beautiful but also offers awesome adventures. There are miles of gorgeous - and challenging- trails surrounding the resort. The hike to Antelope Falls is not to be missed, but it does require the use of ropes to navigate the trail, so

Hello, What is the easiest way to travel to the rain forest from San Pedro? Thank you
You can fly from San Pedro to Dangriga, and we can arrange land transportation from the local airstrip to the resort. This takes about 20 minute drive. For rates and bookings please contact our frontdesk.

What the best why to get there from City & what can I expect to pay round trip?
Hello Cathi, There are a few options for travelling to our resort from Belize City. The quickest way is to take a 15 minute domestic flight from Belize City to a town called Dangriga, where we can pick you up and drive 20 minutes back to the resort. Another option is we can send a shuttle to pick you up in Belize City and drive 3.5 hours back to the resort. The costs are: 1. Flights $90 US per person one way, or $160 return plus $50 one way or $90 return for the shuttle from Dangriga. 2. Shuttle from Belize City $200 US one way or $380 return (note: this cost is for the shuttle, not per person) If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me at 1 844 894 2311 All the best, Brendan Gordon Sales & Reservations Manager Bocawina Rainforest Resort & Adventures
