Beaches and Dreams combines the three elements of beach, food and adventure we believe makes for a great vacation. Every one of our 11 rooms is within 100 feet of the ocean, 8 are ocean-front, and our Sea Bar is the best party on the beach. Our fine-dining restaurant, The Barracuda, has a long culinary history, stemming from the original owner of the resort, chef, Tony Marsico. Finally, our guests can depart for any adventure, from diving and snorkeling to visiting the Maya ruins of Xunanatunich right from our adventure office Amped Coffee and Tours or our busy pier, both located at the resort.

Lovely and beautiful resort!! Even before me and my wife got there, the staff all the way up to the owners were very helpful and very attentive to all of our needs and scheduling of our activities were a breeze. Everyone made us feel welcomed! The atmosphere was beautiful, the food was outstanding! I truly cannot say enough of how much of a great job on their staff did to accommodate and make you feel as if you were at home!! One of our scuba dives got canceled because of not having enough people to go out on the boat and the staff didn’t blink and eye, they immediately got on the phone and found another dive shop and booked us out to go diving! There tours and activities were AWESOME and the drivers and tour guides were very knowledgeable and helpful with great information on the sites we were visiting. This place is a paradise! We will be making more visits very soon! If you’re looking for a place to get away and have a wonderful time and experience some great attractions look no further, this is the place you want to come to !! Warm smiles all the time ! Come to Belize. Come to Hopkins…. Come to Beaches and Dreams !!! Rob and Jennifer Greer

I hesitate to even write a review because I want this amazing little resort to remain a SECRET! The staff and owners treated us like family and I owe them too much to do that so I won't but I'm tempted ;) Our trip was April 16th through the 26th and the weather was perfect all but one day where it rained all day. We had an amazing time with the staff hanging out on the pier though so it worked out wonderfully and it was beautiful. Our first night there we had a horrible freak accident where my mom fell and landed on her arm terribly bad and had multiple severe fractures. Literally on a flat surface and just put her arm through a railing freak accident. We were completely at a loss as to what to do as our phones weren't going through to the ambulance (who's number was provided by the management) but we were just having difficulty getting our phones to go through. Jessica, the owner, was amazing and got us set up with the ambulance that then provided us a ride to the medical facility in Dangrigo. We were informed that even in Belize City no one would be equipped to perform this very complicated surgery and that we needed to get her back to the U.S. Arranging a med-evac is no small task, and we ended up having to pay out of pocket to make it happen. We had barely any notice that we finally got confirmation and Jessica was amazing in arranging last minute flights on Tropic Air to Belize City and back and arranged for free to get us to and from the airport to the resort on short notice as well. She was also extremely responsive after the fact in getting us an incident report (the only incident report they have ever had to produce) and invoices/summaries for insurance so we could get reimbursed via the travel insurance. Honestly, this is the ONLY time I had ever bought travel insurance and it was based on their recommendation (THANK YOU!) We were honestly a little shaken up after that experience and it was a little difficult to get into holiday mode but they made it so easy. I cannot say enough good things about the staff there. We left feeling like family. They knew everyone's names, what everyone wanted, they were so good with our boys (we were 2 families traveling with one 5-year old apiece). The only thing I regret is overbooking our tours a little bit because honestly it is just wonderful to hang out at the resort. I was worried that the food would get a little repetitive being there 10 days and only having one restaurant (we are used to Sandals/Beaches where you have like 12 restaurants). I would take the service and food here over 12 restaurants anywhere else. Don't go and not try the family meal option, their lunch options are SO good. The whole fried snapper being my favorite. I LOVE Marie Sharps hot sauce if you like spicy. I am sad not to be eating Belizean breakfasts of black beans, eggs, fry jacks or homemade tortillas. The dinner specials are amazing and eat the seafood. All of it. Fish especially even if you normally don't like fish, Ceviche is delicious. Let the bartenders make you...whatever. It's all good. As far as the tours, we did scuba diving, snorkeling, ATM (it's intense, beautiful when you swim in, but intense if you're not super into being in dark confined places and there's a couple parts where you're climbing that I was not a fan of, it's unreal when you get in the burial chamber but I am not a huge fan of preserved baby skulls? Maybe that's just me? You are in this cave, in the dark for probably 3 hours), Xunatunich, cave tubing, Monkey River Tour, The Bocawina falls etc. We would double down on the scuba diving next time. Check drive times on stuff if you don't want to be in the car for long periods of time. I will definitely do more of the culture stuff next time. The other big thing that I would say about Belize is how SAFE it feels (other than if you're walking and fall and land wrong ;)) We rode bikes into town and walked at night with just the gals and kids down the street and felt super safe. My only recommendations are watch the sun screen and bug spray. The water here is CLEAR. We have traveled a lot and have never gotten sunburns like this with sunscreen on. Next time we will do sun shirts and hats if you're out on the water all day. The bugs are not bad...unless you let them get you. I did good all trip and forgot one night, just be diligent and you'll be fine. I hope Ruger lives forever! He is the sweetest dog at the resort and is 17 years old, if he's still there make sure you give him all the pats. We will be back! :)

You sure did have a BLAST!! I do hope your mom is doing better now; Jess and your family did a wonderful job at getting her the help she needed and once she was safe, you all made every minute counted after that. It was just Amazing to see your family having so much fun. We’d love to have you stop in again sometime…and Ruger, Ruger does not seem to be going on a vacation any time soon so that’s even more reason to be back, lol. Can’t wait to see you again!

From start to finish ALL staff was excellent! My now husband and I got married at this beautiful resort and thanks to Melanie she made my imagination come to life! The drivers Mario, Oz, Keith were all fantastic and very knowledgeable! At the Barracuda restaurant/bar BEN AND BIRDMAN WERE ABSOLUTE ANGELS!! Amanda, Cesar and Milky were such personable servers and without their smiling faces we wouldn’t have had such a great time at breakfast, lunch and dinner. I cannot wait to go back, this trip was all I hoped for all thanks to them!

We stayed here this summer with our extended family and rented 6 of the 11 rooms (all four of the cabanas, the treehouse, and one of the hotel rooms). There were 16 of us in all, with a lot of teenagers. The staff was amazing, including one experience that went so far above and beyond expectations that it was almost like a scene out of a movie. My wife lost her wedding and engagement rings on an expedition in Placencia (they fell out of her purse, where she had put them for safe keeping while putting on sunscreen) and we didn't realize it until hours later when we were back at the resort. We assumed all was lost, but Keith (who wasn't even on our expedition) asked about the next day and uncovered the rings, and he and Primrose negotiated their heroic return (we got them back 5 minutes before we had to board the plane in Belize City for the trip back home). Even without that epic saga and their heroic feats, we loved this resort. The kitchen and bar staff were patient and kind with our large group, the guides were helpful and amazing, and the expeditions included stories we're still telling friends about. We cannot recommend this resort enough!

My husband, my brother and myself had such a wonderful time! We stayed in the main rooms by the pool, with beautiful views of the ocean. The staff are truly exceptional, Oz, our driver and guide to the ruins was so knowledgeable and helpful, the restaurant is amazing with the best food, and Mrs P, Amanda and Armondo made our meals special. Great people like Max, Tyler, and Greg the night security all help to make this place a comfortable, relaxing vacation filled with fun and exciting excursions they take you on. Everything taken care of, the drivers all friendly and knowledgeable bringing you to guides whom are friendly and knowledgeable. I felt I got to see Belize and experience some of its treasures. Naomi and Shevon kept our rooms clean and became great friends. Birdman kept our drinks coming. I will definitely be going back to do the exciting excursions I didn't do this time. Beaches and dreams made this international vacation easy and exciting. All the staff are so great, so sorry to those of you I did not mention. Love you all. Bishops

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying here for our belated honeymoon. We loved our beach cabana sea breeze And can't say enough good things about the staff. We mainly got to interact with Cesar, Melanie, Ben, Milky, Birdman, and Mando but if the rest of the staff is half as attentive as they were you will not be disappointed. I really enjoyed how they planned out itinerary and the excursion options were great. As it was our first time in Belize it exceeded our expectations and I'd love to go back.

We were looking for an opportunity show our children a diferent part of the world and this resort did not let us down. The people were marvelous and the food was amazing. Honestly, I haven't had that much great food in a long time. The drinks were strong and emaculately made. We've been to larger more commerical resorts and this place exceeded any expectations we had. You can tell the owners really care for their employees because they cared for us. You get to know everyone on the staff and you feel like a true VIP yourself. The small resort also allows you to get to know the other patrons staying onsite. Please note that most of the travelers are doing excursions during the day so there is not much going on during the day. If you are a traveler who needs to be entertained, keep this in mind. However, the staff is more than willing to provide opportunities go into town or help with arrangements. Also, there isn't a nightlife in the evenings other than what you make yourself or if you go into town. None of these stopped us from having a time of our lives.

I can’t wait to return to Beaches and Dreams. All arrangements were smooth and effortless. This includes the flights to and from the international airport to Dangriga and transportation to and from Dangriga to Hopkins Village. The location of the resort is perfect for people who want to feel like they have a private beach on the Caribbean to themselves. My daughter and I had a cabana 20 feet from the water and could hear the waves lapping against the shore from our room. It was tastefully decorated, spacious and clean. The food in the restaurant was amazing! It was like eating in a five star restaurant every night without having all of the snobbishness and uncomfortable clothing of that experience. There was a balance of historical/cultural and adventure excursions and they were all well-planned, informative and conducted by personable guides. Every single staff member went above and beyond in every way. Each person knew our names and was willing to answer any questions. As a mom traveling with my adult daughter, I felt quite safe. Belize is beautiful and amazing and this resort is a great choice for a fun and relaxing vacation.
