So here is the great, good, ok, and the must have. The must have is a vehicle to drive around. The place is centrally located to MANY activities around, but they are all a decent drive, which wasn't a problem for us. We loved exploring everywhere we went and had SO much fun river tubing, cave tubing, hiking, atv, banana farm, chocolate making, etc it just goes on and on what you can do and have fun. It is also a must to have the vehicle so you can drive to town as they are pretty far from the village itself and the dirt road and old bikes don't make for a good bike riding experience. Again we had vehicle so no problem for us. They offer free off street parking and many of the other places don't offer so they make it easy if you bring a vehicle. Make sure it's an SUV, as roads are bumpy. The great is Georgia. She was amazing. We stayed there for 7 days and had such a great time talking and spending time with her. She is a gem and makes an amazing breakfast. She also took great care of our room. Not a worry in the world that the housekeeping was done and cleaned and stocked everyday. The great also is the pool, my son loved the slide and how close they are to the beach. If the resort behind them ever stops letting guests use their beach, not this place would not be as much fun, but until then the beach was wonderful and able to use all of the resorts facilities and they are happy if you just buy a drink or two while there. Also great is that right next door you can do your own laundry for just $5 USD for a wash and dry and the detergent is there to use. So if you are like us and hike and get dirty, have kids and don't want to pack a lot, this made it convenient to do laundry in the middle of trip and at end to have clean clothes going back. Also nice to have convenience store on sight if you want anything. Also 2nd floor has water cooler with as much water as you want to use and an ice machine. That was a life saver. The good is that the jaguar room was a comfy fit for 2 adults and one child, AC worked and could use when and however you wanted unlike other places you can only use AC at night, TV was good, and it was a silent night every night to sleep unlike some other places around. The OK is that the place could use a little maintenance spruce up. Not as new as the pictures portray with some rust and decay in places, but everything worked so no complaints from me and that is why they still got 5 stars overall. I've been to all seven continents and usually stay in 4 star hotels. so if they were able to make me happy, they can probably do the same for you. Hopefully and little fixer up here and there and the place could be like new.

On our recent stay here we were shock to discover the type of service we received after having been a regular customer of theirs for many years. Our last time here was June of 2018 whereby we received a wonderful experience from the staff. This time around it seems that many of the staff are no longer here and have been replaced by horrible customer service staff. We booked our stay for three days and realized we had no house keeping services. After waiting and realizing it was after 3pm we went to ask for housekeeping, just to be told that they were already gone for the day. At this point we had no clean towels or even toilet paper or soap in the bathroom. The following morning we got up early and went to the office to request housekeeping and some toiletries. They sent a housekeeper who brought us one toilet paper and a few bars of soap who gave us the most disgusting attitude and said she won’t clean the room because checkout is today and she was not on shift yesterday. I was so taken a back that someone who I’ve never met in my life spoke to me with so much anger and hate. I then went back down to the office and spoke to Christina who made it no better and obviously does not practice the principle of satisfying a customer. I am truly disappointed in this last stay and only ask the management to kindly provide some training to staff on customer service and the 101 on being polite. If someone cannot practice the basic “greeting someone the time of the day” they surely do not belong in the hospitality industry.

Thank you for your review. This room was booked as single occupancy for 2 nights and it was booked for a male staff from Belize Tourism Board; and unknowingly to us there were 3 other persons in the room. When the BTB staff checked in he requested a rollaway bed so we thought it was another btb staff that wanted to stay at the apartment. We eventually found out that it was his family members staying at the apartment. We usually charge extra person fee for more persons but we didnt. On the first day stay the housekeeper had an emergency and had to go home at 1 pm and The Front Desk Clerk took towels and bedding to the apartment. The second day was check out and housekeeping was requested early in the morning and we do not do housekeeping until the guest checks out at 11am. The housekeeper took toilet paper and soap to the apartment. I would like to apologize about the housekeeper's reaction when you asked for her to clean the apartment while you are there and you were about to check out in 2 hours. You approached me about the housekeeper reaction and i told you that i would talk to the housekeeper. I am so sorry that we couldn't find the best way to solve this issue. Thank you for staying with us. Management

Great breakfast, flexible accommodations - letting us use their kitchen to prepare our own food was a bonus. Love the pool - nice and deep, and the excellent breakfast was appreciated so we could stay on site and relax

Our group of 7 rented the entire B+B for 5 days. We were met upon arrival and shown the rooms. They were all clean and ready for us. One of the king rooms did have some trouble with water leakage. I was a bit surprised when I came out for breakfast the first day and found a stranger in the kitchen. Apparently the breakfast is available for guests of the rental rooms next door. Same goes for the pool. I was not told that guests outside the house would be taking advantage of the amenities and this was quite off-putting. The rooftop overlook was quite nice at night although the stair railing was restained with no wet paint sign for warning. The house and pool were clean, the staff friendly, and the breakfasts delicious.

My extended family and I stayed one night here before leaving Belize. Before this we spent a week at Hamanasi. So going from the absolutely perfect Hamanasi to this place is not quite fair... However.... Upon arrival we were met by Clyde. He did his best to direct us to our rooms and the first three on the first floor were fine. Then we went to the room that was reserved for 4 young men. There was a made up futon and a folded absolutely gross roll away. The mattress was ripped and when opened their was an old nasty pillow inside. No way was anyone sleeping on that. We moved to a room with 2 futons but an aircondtioner that didn't work well but they set up fans and it was fine. When they made up the futons though there was not a mattress pad.. Clyde was all alone at work and the poor guy was frazzled by our arrival and the change of room and then my brother came down and said the air in their room wasn't working either. He went to check on that as well.. When we went to bed we discovered a plastic mattress pad, those are not really nice to sleep on and very noisy. Other than that our room was very nice. We were told breakfast was from 6-9. My sister was told 7 am. But we are an early group and were hovering before 7. Breakfast was ready about 7:30. It was a nice breakfast. The place needs some work, but the price was reasonable for the area which is what we were looking for. Just be aware that the beds are not great and the futons are futons... and the roll aways need to be replaced.
