We are directly in the center of Hopkins Village, within walking distance of all restaurants, bars and stores. We have the nicest beach in the village and plenty of chairs and hammocks for sunbathing or relaxing. All of our rooms include nightly A/C, a small fridge, coffee maker with coffee, hot showers, and overlook the sea. We have two-bedroom apartments available for families, and we have beautiful hotel rooms with either a king bed or two queen beds for couples or smaller families. The owners and some of the staff live on-site, and we have nightly security (although Hopkins is an extremely safe and friendly village - you'll love it!)

I stayed in both Coconut Row and Buttonwood. Hopkins, the resort/guest house and service was all amazing. There are lots of activities/tours to choose from including complimentary kayaks and bikes. You can also just lounge on the beautiful beach they work hard to keep little to

We stayed at Coconut Row for 1 week after running an ultramarathon in the US and this was the perfect spot for some rest and recovery. We had a beachfront cabana which was spacious with a terrace and our own sun-loungers directly in front of the cabana. The room also comes

Hi SazzleRuns, Thanks for your kind review – we really enjoyed having you guys and we’ll look forward to seeing you next year! Just a few things I’d like to mention. I’m so sorry about the cold shower – we had no idea you were having any trouble with hot water or we’d have fixed it right away! Please don’t hesitate to let us know anytime something isn’t right; we pride ourselves on taking care of things immediately, but in this case we weren’t aware there was anything wrong. Very sorry about that! Also, thanks for your review of our restaurant, the Coconut Husk. However, I don’t think it’s fair that to compare us only on price to the cheapest local restaurant in Hopkins! We are a very different type of establishment. We use only fresh, organic foods, we are open 7 days a week, we are fully staffed, and we have a nice restaurant with a gorgeous view on the beach! In short, we are not trying to offer the cheapest price in the village, but rather the best value - with organic, fresh food, more variety, better service, and great drinks in a beautiful environment. And indeed, you did eat with us nearly every day, which we really appreciate! Also, we have no suggested tipping at all! We believe guests should only tip if they are happy with the service, and even then, only the amount they wish. But we are the only restaurant in the village with a computer system for printing receipts, and that receipt automatically prints out a tipping guide (“if you want to tip !0%, it’s this much, if you want to tip 15%, it’s this much”, etc.) This is in no way a pressure to tip! I am the American owner you refer to, and not only do I never touch the tips (which are for staff), but I also believe that no one should ever tip unless they receive stellar service! We pay our staff a wage that doesn’t require them to survive on tips, and our reputation is far too precious to me to ever want to pressure hotel guests or restaurant customers for tips!

Coconut Row is a quiet and low key accommodation. We only saw 2 other couples on the property during our stay in December. But you are just around the corner from the restaurants and night life, which makes this an awesome place to stay!

Carol, my wife and I have been to Hopkins three times. We believe it is a two tiered (economically) social scene. There are resorts on both end of town that are more spendy, like Hamanasi, Love on the Rocks, Chef Rob's. I can't say what kind of an experience you would have at these venues because we always opted for the "local" establishments. Restaurants like Gecko's, Thong's, Driftwood Beach Bar, Frog Point, The Curve's Bar, and Jalapeños. These choices are wonderful for enjoying the atmosphere of Hopkins.

"I paid about $108/night. Credit cards accepted. Spotless, modern, excellently appointed large rooms. Fridge. A/C--which carries an annoying ten-dollar surcharge if you want it during the day. Powerful wifi. Steps from the beach and the ocean. Probably the best hotel in town. Large bathroom, excellent hot-water showers. Lovely staff, if a little bit easily distracted. Free purified water. Free coconuts available." What do you suggest I correct, hmmm...?

The beach in front of our cabin was nice. We had it almost to ourselves. The water is reasonably shallow out for a long ways. You can swim on the surface or you can stand and still touch out a good distance. It is a good spot for tossing a Frisbee and jumping for it. A good spot for kids I think. Of course it is best if the kids can swim. We experienced a range of flat almost lake like to medium waves. Not big enough for surfing etc... I don't recall any bikes at the resort but there was a shop down the road (walking distance) that rented.
