We were exhausted, we needed to rest snd we needed a clean and cozy place to lie our heads and relax. I also wanted sand, sea and coconut trees; he wanted a charming village to explore. The Hopkins Inn offered all that and more! We visited in January / February 2020 where we lucked out when the super cozy honeymoon cabana was available. What a delightful find! We went right back there in July 2021, choosing Hopkins as our seaside, centrally located stop because of the Inn. We scheduled to stay a while the last time in the seafront cabana (but all of them are fabulous) The owners are so kind, laidback, and fun, but also knowledgeable, caring and accommodating. And did I mention the wonderful coffee, and assorted fresh fruits and breads served every morning? Or the fresh juice served in the coconut? Or the purified water available 24/7?? Yes, there are bigger and flashier places to stay in Hopkins, but do you really want a generic experience when you can have 5 star authenticity and comfort? We have travelled all areas of the mainland the bigger Cayes; you will not find a better place to stay in a better village in a better location - and this compared to Placencia, Caye Caulker and Ambergris Caye/San Pedro. I cannot say enough good things about Hopkins Inn - or did I just?? πŸ’œ

We loved Hopkins Inn, and felt lucky to have stumbled across Hopkins and these cabanas. We booked the Anniversary Cabana, and it was right on the beach with a fantastic view. The breeze kept us cool during the day, and the sound of the ocean lulled us to sleep at night. The manager is simply lovely, and her breakfast cooking is amazing! We walked all over to various other restaurants - everyone was so welcoming and the food was great. I can't recommend this inn more highly for a break from it all!

I do not travel much and so this was a great place to land- they are so incredibly welcoming and helped me greatly with my visit- arranging taxis, sending me to the best eating establishments, and generally anticipating my needs. Breakfast was filling and delicious. The rooms (I stayed in two- upgraded once for free!) were clean and well organized with good reading, good lighting, great air circulation, etc. Istayed here in 2016 and would stay again. Its easy to get to things in town from here, walking, and you really get a feeling for being a part of Hopkins.

We stayed here for one night in the Honeymoon Cabana. It was lovely and had everything we needed. Location was right in the heart of town and we could easily walk to find dinner nearby. Hopkins is not lacking in authenticity and we enjoyed being immersed with the locals. Our only disappointment was not catching any of the local drumming we had heard about. There was also a spot to park our rental car. Staff were nice and they provided us breakfast.

I was very happy with this choice for a place in Hopkins. I would definitely always stay in this northern end of town, where all the locals live, and you can walk around and see some real life. The beach here is very nice and is well maintained. There are many places to eat and shop in walking distance. The cabins at Hopkins Inn were spacious and clean and comfortable. The service was amazing. The ladies here are really lovely and friendly and took great care of us. One day we were greeted with a free coconut for each of us. The good thing about Hopkins is that it is pretty close to a lot of things to do. We had a great day hiking at Mayflower Bocawina. We also visited Maya Center and the sugar mill at Sittee River. The town itself is very quiet. We were able to organize a private transfer from here to Tobacco Caye with Happy Go Luckie Tours which was really useful for us. If you are going to Hopkins, this is a great choice and reasonably priced, not like the very expensive options in the expat area in the south. Only down side of this stay-jellyfish in the ocean for a couple of days- and one noisy party at the bar two doors down from here. I don't think that would be a regular thing though. It was really loud till 3.30 am.
