I stayed at the Lone Pine for a wedding during a busy long weekend. It has a different feel compared to the other hotels in the area. Loved the concept and ambience. Rooms are nicely designed. Very nice pool and breakfast spread was good. The beach was surprisingly clean by Penang standards but there too many water sport operators .

We are regular visitors to Penang, in fact we have visited nearly every year since 2005. My husband grew up there and we have always wanted to stay at The Lone Pine but have never been able to afford it. However, in 2016 we were able to spend 3 nights there whilst attending my husbands school reunion. We had spent...

We had a 2D1N stay at Lone Pine from 15-16th Jan 2017. We took the Twin Premier room since there was 2 adults + 2 children. Comfortable and spacious room. I liked how the room was very nearby to the lobby, pool and also the Bungalow (their coffee shop). The pool was well maintained and decent sized. There was a...

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at Lone Pine. The pool was not busy and spotless. Our room was clean and lovely bathroom. Breakfast items could have been a bit warmer. We enjoyed eating at the night hawker market which had a vibrant buzz.

We stayed at the Lone Pine for 8 nights in January. Our room was spacious, clean, cool and well furnished with everything one needs (including an iron ironing board). Unlimited drinking water was also provided. All the Staff were wonderful and very happy to assist. The breakfast buffet was fabulous with lots of options that included made to order local dishes,...

The hotel at first impression was a relaxing garden type resort. But failed at delivering the experience. A basic hotel that is ageing and not trying hard enough. Room Service limited and food quality was mundane and flat. Breakfast was a good basic spread at the Bunglow but meals are just limited to that venue. Pool is nice and L...

I stayed at this hotel on a personal recommendation. Having seen some of the negative reviews I was concerned but it was great. The hotel food was okay. The area is really central and convenient for exploring Penang. I liked the small cafes and restaurants on the beach. The rooms are wonderful. Private and the outdoor tub is a good...

I am totally obsessive about hotels and I spend a long time researching and looking to make reservations when we decided to go to Penang. The Lone Pine was my top choice because it looked like it had a great combination of hip design and good location on what seemed like the best beach in Penang. I know everyone says...

Checked in and was given 322 high floor but the noise from the generator was significant so requested a room change. We were given 101 at the opposite end of the building. Pros Design is nice but needs TLC and proper cleaning eg dust on artwork Great shower Cons AC was too cold and impossible to control setting to 32C...

Very mixed feelings about the Lone Pine, it was recommended by a friend who used to live in Batu Ferringhi, It is in a great spot, lots of places to eat, nice beach, on the main road, easy for buses and taxis. But, it does market and price itself as a luxury hotel, but it ain't The room was ok,...
