Dear zennyboy, I am very sorry for the noise pollution which could have occurred, regrettably during the peak season of Christmas and Chinese New Year, many families travel and relax by the pool. You should have approached us and we will have done the necessary to switch your suite on the other side away from the children pool or to...

Stayed at the Parkroyal Penang Resort from 22 to 24 January 2014 for a company trip. The hotel is located along the Batu Ferringhi area along the northern coast of Penang island. Because we went off gallivanting the moment our flight landed at 9:30am in the morning, we didn’t check into the hotel till 6pm. Checking in was a breeze,...

A little too loud at night if your room is facing the bar. live music is on until 12 am. the stuff is pushy to make you buy food and drinks from the hotel. A part from that is spot on location. night market and bus right outside the hotel.

It might be strange to wonder if a 4+-star hotel room is a best-value place. Especially for someone who happily stays in 1- or 2-star local hotels in upcountry Thailand, and would prefer a suite in a good 3-star hotel to a room in a 4-5-star hotel (and did just that for the nights in Georgetown before our stay at...
