A beautiful view and a peaceful night, apart from the owls which is the kind of "interruption" I don't mind! Our room was beautifully decorated and the breakfast was fantastic. Loved the "shwee shwee" table clothes! Thank you.

Hi Sharon, I think your question was actually directed at a previous Makapa guest but TripAdvisor keep sending me reminders until I respond myself. Generally it is quite safe to drive into Cape Town at night, many of our guests do. Keep to the main tourist areas and you shouldn't have any problems. Drive time to the Waterfront and city centre, excluding busy commuter times is 35-40 minutes. Regards Ian Makapa Lodge
