This was such a great experience! We saw Oryx and gazelles. The guide was very informative. We also went on a camel ride. That was also amazing! Our guide was great and the camels were obviously well cared for. The restaurant was also very good and quite reasonable. We definitely recommend them!

My wife and I visited for a weekend away to get away from it all. What an amazing experience. The property may be slightly tired but the tranquility, setting, food and service of the restaurant team were truly amazing. Joel and Reme were a true credit to this resort. If you’ve never been I would highly recommend it a mere hour from Dubai

We spent 5 nights at Al Maha and it was undoubtably the best experience we have ever had. The setting was amazing. The accomodation was excellent and with a large plunge pool and wildlife walking across our garden area it was an amazing experience. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner and the food was the BEST of anywhere we have been before and we have been to many highly rated hotels and resorts. All staff were first class and always went above and beyond. We are planning to return again soon.

We had an incredible 3 night stay at Al Maha.  With us landing in the evening, the hotel was very accommodating ensuring we were still able to enjoy dinner. They also included bfast and lunch on our last day since we didn't get to enjoy that on our day of check in. Words can't express the beauty of this resort but you will find many blogs attempting to do exactly that.  Rather, I will comment that what makes this resort and time spent an amazing time is the staff.  Every staff member somehow knows your name and calls you by your name.  They are always smiling and always ready and willing to help.  We felt very welcomed and cared for. The rooms were very comfortable with the only annoyance being the water alarm that kept going off on the day there was a down pour, though not much the hotel can do there.  If I had one feedback regarding the room, it would be if they are able to improve their drainage system.  The sink and shower drains were slow so the water always backed up, getting annoying. While we had no intentions of using the spa, we were impressed by the set up and ended up doing a full spa treatment which was wonderful.  We were also able to use the steam/sauna area which is small but well built.  The communal pool at the spa is also very nice and relaxing. All the meals are at the single restaurant on property.  The meals are all delicious but it is a lot of food.  They recommend a 3 course for lunch and 5 course for dinner (2 of the courses are palate cleaners) but it is a LOT of food.  My wife and I enjoy good food but we couldn't eat so much after the first day.  We would skip some of the courses and the staff got worried we didn't like the food.  We tend to share the courses/meals so finally by the 3rd day they realized we were splitting and just split it for us.  Lol.  But they do keep insisting you eat more, which is a lovely gesture; we just felt bad saying no to more food.  Note, if you are vegetarian, they do have a separate veg menu.  But if you are staying there 3 nights, you will have tried everything on the menu by then. Since the resort is in middle of the desert, commute is a bit difficult.  You can taxi but if wasn't clear to me how much you save taking a taxi.  There's also an Uber option but Ubers are far and few this far away.  The hotel does offer pick up and drop off service which wasn't much more than what Uber or taxi would be. The only thing that would have put this stay over the top is if we could have been upgraded to a sun rise or sunset facing room.  Unfortunately our beautiful suite was in between and we couldn't see either from the deck.

After a few days in the luxury of Abu Dhabi it took just a one hour wildlife drive in the desert around Al Maha to become addicted to the desert landscape, flora and fauna. The rustic lobby was a shock but the bedroom/suite and staff were superb. Given the distance everything has to travel it is pricey but you need make few allowances- the hotel will meet all your needs. All the staff- a special mention to our guide Alex who was knowledgable, personable and helpful- were friendly and helpful……but there is a point where rustic becomes tired and in need of investment. Much as we loved this place, the Oryx, the Gaselles and the desert I have to say the hotel needs money spending on it……..but the location is addictive!

I cannot recommend a trip to this resort enough. The staff are friendly, polite and attentive and dedicate themselves to perfecting your stay. The activities available are phenomenal and are mostly desert-based. As a result, we recommend asking for Michael, who is one of the rangers on site. His knowledge was superb and ultimately made us feel very welcome. Thanks very much, everyone!

Just a one night stay at the Al Maha but it was most memorable. From the pre check-in, welcoming us at the resort, service, activities, etc., Mansour and his team were excellent in ensuring a wonderful experience. We had a great time and look forward to being back some day.

This was a two day stop on our honeymoon. Should have been longer. Getting here ads to it's allure. Situated on in the UAE desert, it is a very remote, full of wildlife, and georgous dark sky full of stars at night. Food is incredible, staff attentive and polite. Activities include Falconry, Safari, Camel Ride, White Arabian Horse ride, plus the accomodations are totally luxurious. 8' wide collosal bed with personal pool outside your villa. Fantastic spa and pool center as well. This is exotic luxury at it's best.

I absolutely loved everything about this trip. The staff welcomed us with cool towels & welcome drinks. We then spent time discussing the activities available.. sunset jeep safari, camel ride, archery, falcon hunting .. Decor is stunning and attention to detail is beautiful- from the glasses to the pristine bedding. The sweeping 180 degree view from the room shows the desert in its beauty at all times of the day. Whilst relaxing in the pool deer grazed and trotted past. Excellent food, excellent service - I can’t find fault I loved every moment here.

Excellent hotel , super Retreat , elegance and opulence all around this retreat deep in the Desert. Must go to place if you are looking for any of the above and yes Luxury too . Extremely well run place by Mr Irfan and his very able team members . The food is amazing and taken so seriously by their F&B manager Mr Prakash , he just sees to it that the guests here are well taken care of , of course very well supported by the behind the scene Chefs and the on the ground wait staff. Joel from the restaurant is an easy example for at the end of the meal one is not sure which was better the meal or the service . Verdict, both are excellent and of a very high quality . The Villas are very well maintained , good housekeeping too. Bedouin life comes out perfectly ,with the Gazelles around the resort . Perfect go to place !!
