I wish TA had more than 5 stars. It was my version of magic wonderland - beautiful, serene resort, with the best service ever. I fall short of words to describe how excellent our stay was. Ultimate luxurious and delicious food. Staff was so friendly , warm and helpful. A special thanks to Param, Pubudu and the Asian guy who did our check in ( sorry forgot his name , he is from Conceirge)

If you ever have the opportunity to go here, you should take advantage of it. This is an exceptional desert setting in a one-of-a-kind place in the world. As a person who has lived in large cities my whole life, the opportunity to be in a place like this was so wonderful. Our rate included activities and meals. We took advantage of the floating breakfast offer too. We made friends with the gazelles who would come to our room / pool a few times a day. The staff are some of the nicest people I've met at a hotel. You can tell they really want to be there. This is a somewhat isolated place - I understand most of the staff lives on the grounds. Great COVID-19 precautions throughout. I recommend this for a two or three night stay.

Our stay at Al Maha was simply remarkable, it was my fiancee's birthday and I can't think of a better way to celebrate her one special day. We enjoyed the scenery and wildlife of the conservation reserve as we entered into a dream vacation. We were first welcomed by Celeste, who kindly introduced us to the amenities of such a fantastic property. Thank you Celeste for taking care of every detail of our stay. The service at the restaurant was also memorable, special thanks to Param and Rochak for making our dining experience worthwhile. The villa in which we stayed was a perfect combination of privacy and relaxation. We enjoyed the temperature-controlled pool and the high-quality bed which led to a night of perfect sleep. Thank you everyone at Al Maha, you made this day a day to remember.

Stay was amazing from A to Z. Two thumbs up for the staff for the excellent service level with special mentions to Celeste from the guest relations team who remembered me from my last stays, who provided a very personalised service and Param at the restaurant who made our dining experience memorable. The lamb chops and breakfast were the hightlights at the restaurant. Thank you for the cakes. We will be back.

We stayed for 3 nights at Al Maha coming from a night in the city in Dubai after a 7 day trip in the Maldives. Al Maha was a wonderful contrast and did not disappoint (which is a high bar after the Maldives). The best part of our trip would be (in no particular order): 1. The amazing wildlife and surroundings - the property, oryx and gazelle have been beautifully cared for by the staff who are expert guides and love the wildlife. The experience of being in the dessert surrounded by the local animals (the gazelles come right up to your villa) is not something that can be experienced anywhere or on any old holiday so if you are here, soak it up! Please be careful of feeding the animals though as some guests have fed gazelles food that they should not be having. 2. The staff - the staff were very friendly and helpful. Special mention to Kevin (more below) and Youssef who truly went above and beyond when we got into an issue with the offsite private quad bike company (not managed by the resort) (thank you so much Youssef!!!!!) 3. The food and activities - highly recommend the half board option which I think is good value. The quality of the food at Al Maha is very high and a wide selection of options are available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had the option to do 2 activities a day which was plenty. Highlights were the falconry, camel ride, dune bashing and archery with our guide Kevin who was fantastic with his knowledge of the resort, animals and activities (also put up with me getting car sick in the 4WD and was very nice about it). Tip: definitely go quad biking in the desert which can be organised by the resort but is done offsite through another provider. you may need to bring cash (see above).
