Great experience at this hotel…friendly staff, nice room. Parking included was very nice! We could access our room easily near the parking lot. The price was reasonable as well. The room was small but nice. Will stay again if we’re in the area.
Look no further for clean, reasonably-priced, pleasant accommodations near JFK. Prompt shuttle that runs 24-hours; immaculate, updated room with fridge, flat-screen TV, A/C, and included continental breakfast; several places to grab a bite within easy walking distance. Staff (including Frank and Johnny, both of whom were super helpful to me) is great. If you want to go into the city, you can take the hotel's free shuttle to the train station and catch the LIRR right into Penn Station (45 minutes). As an airline employee that flies standby and occasionally needs overnight accommodations at JFK, I was glad to find this place and will happily stay here again!
This is the worst hotel on the planet. Everything was filthy. Breakfast was awful. The incompetent staff missed my wake up call caused me to almost miss my plane . Everything in the hotel was filthy including my room. Peeling wallpaper mold in the bathroom chipped paint everywhere floors carpet had holes in them. Was truly an awful hotel if I wasn't so exhausted I would have got up and left. Probably one of the worst hotels I've stayed at in the last decade. Avoid it all costs. By the way the hotel is actually 25 minutes from the airport and they only have an hourly shuttle. Shuttle is imperative because it's so far from anything. Breakfast was awful pure starch cheapest products you could possibly buy. The location for the street wasn't bad because there was a Burger King which was I was able to get breakfast at. There's also a shopping street about 200 m down the street that has a Marshalls. Everything about this hotel was terrible the TV was even filthy the carpets should have been changed 15 years ago. Avoid this hotel at all costs.…
Upon arriving for an overnight stay late Friday the gentleman at the front desk was not welcoming at all. He barely looked up and was more concerned with his personal phone. The rooms are very small TV monitors outdated and there was a musty smell but I was as equally surprised by the bed & pillows after a long travel this was welcoming. The toilet water pressure was an issue but I was checking out.
I arrived after an 8-hour trip from Burbank at 10:30 PM to a smiling helpful Johnnie - the front desk clerk. He was attentive and gave me a great room. When I went back to the desk the next morning, I was greeted with my name by Johnnie. He had a good morning and a bright happy tone. My room was great, comfortable, and most of all quiet. The only reason for not a 5-star was the pillows. More like the flats. But the bed was perfect, the shower was hot and the room was comfortable.
After a long trip (about 7 hours of flight ) , I called the Hotel asking for the shuttle service , the Shuttle service was terrible , I had to wait 45min, to get to the Hotel, rooms are smaller than expected , staff not that kind, it’s too expensive for what it is .
I’m not sure what I was expecting but I never get my hopes up with hotels. However, in actuality, I found the $135 room rate ($150 incl tax etc) very reasonable, since I was looking for somewhere cancelable, with a free shuttle to the airport (JFK) and breakfast included. The Five Towns fulfilled all my criteria. I was also pleasantly surprised by how clean and modern the place was. The room wasn’t huge but plenty big enough for one person, the bed was comfy and the decor was nice (with a fridge for the couple of beers I brought with me - there is no bar). The staff were very friendly and helpful and the driver of the shuttle next morning was a really nice guy. We chatted throughout the journey to the airport. Breakfast was basic (bread, bagels, choice of cereal and tea/coffee) but I don’t think one could expect more for the price. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if I have an early flight.…
Honestly if it wasn't for this hotel I would of had to stay in the airport with my 6yr old son. Hotel.com was at no help, I did my booking with them. However five town, amazing! Managed to fit us in after our we was put on the next flight without any control and losing out on our stay. Thank you so much, can't thank enough. We also had a few good hours sleep before connecting to our next flight
We are going to have a 12 hour layover at JFK and had booked this hotel. I asked if they had a Day rate and Michael corresponded with me swiftly and with such concern. They do have a day rate but it has to be tacked on to the overnight rate. He gave me shuttle information and places to eat. Although we ended up booking the Hilton Garden Inn because the total cost was quite a bit lower, he offered a few more suggestions and wished us an exciting trip to Portugal. I wish I could tip him and give him 10 stars!! What a valuable employee!!!!!
