Myself & my hubby visited during our island hop trip. He had visited 25 years earlier at the tender age of 20 ! Not much has changed, the hotel is still run by the most lovely family you could ever meet. Nothing is too much trouble. Everywhere is spotlessly clean. We ate at the hotel usually choosing the 'plate of...

Jack the owner transported us to and from the port! This family run hotel is the most friendliest & helpful place you will come across. The food is good home cooked food. The rooms are clean & comfortable. Worthwhile hiring a car to get around the island and see things or there is a bus service that runs every hour....

This has got to be one of the friendliest places we have ever stayed! To our surprise the hotel owner kindly picked us up from the ferry port. This was much appreciated after our long travel to get to this tiny, but lovely little island! Our friends were getting married in the tiny town, Megas Gialos so we wanted to...

The owner of the hotel picked us up from the ferry port - thats when we new, that we finally found a place where the owners care. The hotel isn't brand new, and Syros is probably not the most iconic island in the Cyclades - but the sheer amount of care, hospitability and friendliness of the owners family is really...

As for location recommended when you do have a car or scooter, you are practically in the middle of the places you will visit! As for the hotel amazing and very helpful owners-personnel, and has all the basic facilities for a comfort stay! Unimaginably noisy housekeeping!!

Hotel Alkyon is a charming and romantic hotel and we had one of our best holidays ever staying there for a week. Catherine and Jack who own and run the hotel with their lovely daughters are warm, friendly and dedicated with a great attention to detail; nothing is too much trouble for them. The rooms have lovely views, good air-conditioning...

We stayed end of June beginning of July and had a wonderful holiday in this lovely family run Hotel, we were made to feel very welcome by Laki, Catherine and there two lovely daughters. The room was very comfortable with a lovely sea view, breakfast was always served with a smile and a friendly chat. This Hotel is spotlessly clean...

Very quiet location, about 20 minutes drive from the port. Sea view from room which was OK but shower/wc a bit cramped. Breakfasts were the same daily - no choices, and dinner "specials" were uninspiring and overpriced for what they were. With hindsight, we should have stayed in Hermoupolis with its extensive range of restaurants, and commuted to the beach...

We stayed in July and were made very welcome by Iak, Catherine and their daughter. It is out of town but that is why we chose it ; there is a bus stop about 5 minutes from the Hotel which can take you to the main town. As the bus route is circular there is shorter and a longer route...

Many guests come back here year after year and it's easy to understand why. This is no luxury hotel but it has everything you need for a very enjoyable stay. Everything is spotlessly clean and the place is very well cared for. The pool is lovely and there's also a singles tennis court which no-one seems to use. There is...
