We stayed at the Arctic Bath Hotel for five nights and it was an absolutely brilliant experience. So many wonderful things especially considering what was going on with Covid:
a) We stayed in a land suite and the room was brilliantly designed, warm and cosy. The location is magical truly a winter wonderland
b) The food helmed by Chef David deserves a few michelin stars. Each night was a different five course menu, with such a variety of flavours and textures. Some of the dishes were masterpieces. I would travel for the food itself.
c) The team in hotel were so warm and friendly and made one feel at home. Really nice group of people who made our trip amazingly enjoyable. Also while Sweden had not made face masks compulsory all the staff wore face masks which was reassuring.
d) We did a great set of activities ranging from massages, snow shoe hiking, ice fishing and doing the swedish ice bath experience. They were all wonderful. While we couldn't do the dog sledding but we did have a good time out at the kennel meeting the beautiful dogs.
We had a wonderful time and will return again

I recently had the pleasure of spending a night at the Arctic Bath hotel. It is brand new, having opened earlier this year, then closed during the worst of the pandemic, and only recently having reopened. Although my stay was too brief, after even just a night here I felt like a new person thanks to the incredibly relaxed vibe as well as the wonders of the saunas and arctic bath.

Upon checkin, I was presented with a robe, bathing suit and a few great bath products from Kerstin Florian that are all yours to keep and take home. The entire hotel has beautifully modern architecture, and there is a good amount of distance and privacy between the rooms. I stayed at one of the water rooms, which lies past a walkway on the largely frozen ice of the river. The room is incredibly cozy, with bedding so comfortable I was tempted to ask where it was from. There's also an automatic fireplace, which was really soothing in addition to providing tons of warmth. At night, you can step out behind the cabin to look at the hundreds of visible stars overhead and see the reflections on the river below.

One of the highlights of my stay was the daily spa ritual for all guests with Ana Claudia. I was the only one who showed up that day, and she did an incredible job of setting up the sauna to the perfect temperature, walking me through different exercises and meditation rituals, as well as accompanying me on multiple jumps into the frigid arctic waters. Did I mention that there are also two outdoor jacuzzi tubs? I felt incredibly relaxed when I rolled up to dinner at the hotel restaurant a couple hours later, and the chef here is every bit as talented as the rest of the staff. I was served a total of five courses of local food prepared in creative ways, along with some of the most delicious smoked butter I've ever tasted. A gin and berry based cocktail was the perfect way to cap off the evening.

The only part of the experience I regretted was leaving. I hope to be back!

Truly amazing experience at Arctic Bath. We spent three nights in one of the wonderful and beautifully decorated suits. Being very far away from the city, we were expecting something nice but not with this standard. The staff was very welcoming, from the moment we arrived they proposed to lend us some warm clothes for our activities during our stay (they had every size, very helpful since we didn't have enough hot clothes.) The manager Erica is wonderful, she made us feel at home and advised us thoughout our stay. We can't write enough nice things regarding these people, that were all friendly and nice.
During our stay we booked two activities, the morning hike and the husky ride. The hike was very nice, we walked up the montain in order to see the entire view. Klara one of the staff member led this activity, she is a truly sweet person, we recommend you asking her for some activities, you won't be disappointed! For the husky ride we went to a local husky farm close to the hotel (the hotel organised this for us), could not describe how incredible this experience is. A must ! During holidays, we particularly appreciate eating good food, if it is important to you too, at Arctic bath you clearly won't be disappointed. The talented chef David, designs new menus every night in order for the guests to taste different dishes every night along with excellent wine selection. His cuisine is elaborated and creative, he clearly deserves a michelin star! As you can understand, we recommand this hotel a 100%, it is clearly a winter wonderland, you will leave with memories for life.

The location, the spa and the rooms are stunning and I would say perfect. Check in was also really professional.

I am not sure if the hotel would survive without that, because:

Restaurant staff was the most incompetent I have ever seen in my life.

Lunch was ok
Dinner: The same waiter introduced himself again (did not remember us from lunch, strange, since there arent that many guests, 199€ for 5 course meal, very brave pricing for what it is. atmosfere between kitchen and waiters is terrible. Waiter accidentally breaks a glass into the kitchen, and chef has to throw away the food he has just prepared. Icy stares from the kitchen into the dining room. Should we as gueste paying 800€ have to see that?
Breakfast: We witness breakfast order of three table (including ours) being forgotten. Table next to us was asked if they want more blueberry juice. They say no. The waitress asks in a very strange tone “are you really sure”? The guest says “yes” and as the waiter leaves comments to his wife “if i say no, i mean no”. We look at each other and just shake our head. In our case, when we told the waitress that our waffles and avo toast had gotten forgotten, she hadnt even realized, so she ordered new ones. As we had finally gotten the order (we were lucky, some people had to leave before being able to eat their orders) i realized that the waffle order had been sitting in the kitchen all along but the waitress hadnt noticed, so she ordered another one. Into the garbage it goes! As mentioned, the communication between waiters and kitchen seems minimal and really bad. As kitchen is open, the restaurant is small, you hear everything.

Sauna experience: Amazing person who guided us through, other than the architecture and rooms, absolute highlight.

Ameninites: very cool and unique that we get bathing suit and shorts

One runs out of adjectives in trying to explain the wonder of Arctic Bath. The ingredients of making this a magical experience for guests comprise fantastic ambience - the water, the architecture of the cabins, the biodiversity and the activities all set the stage for a great visit. However no matter how good all of the views and infrastructure are one has to have good dedicated staff and great food as well. Arctic Bath has this in heaps. The staff were just wonderful nothing was too much trouble they were just awesome and everyone of them. Best till last though the Chef David Staf is outstanding his ability to create richness of flavour in every dish he serves is excellent. The use of local produce is to be commended , the variety of dishes and flavours created by David is awesome. Having eaten in several Michelin starred restaurant this one must have been over looked. Congrats to the owners who created such a great escape and had the foresight to top it off with such a good Chef.

Staying Arctic Bath is a unique experience. We spent 3 magical days in this winter heaven. First, the decor and the cabins are absolutely gorgeous. So cosy, with an incredible view. There are only 12 rooms so the atmosphere is really intimate. The spa is great and the cold bath is an amazing experience. But what made our stay even more magical was the team. They are all amazing, with one goal in mind: make your stay unforgettable. Nothing was a problem. They were really serious with all the Covid precautions and wearing a mask all the time. We booked a dog sledding tour and they work with an incredible local family-run business lost in the forest. It was incredible. The food also is amazing, the chef is super talented. We had 3 dinners here and the three were a success, modern food, light, balanced, local products, multiple tastes.
Special mention for our New Year Eve night which was such a great moment ;)
To conclude, you must go to the Arctic Bath.

Arctic Bath is one of the most unique hotels in Sweden. The design of the hotel and the villas is amazing, and the location on the river is great too. Food is very nice with interesting flavors. The food menu is well paired with suitable wines. The staff is talkative and friendly, but not too much. So you can have a great time with your own company, but also get a nice chat with the staff if you like that.

I would say that the whole package is what makes this place so nice. The cold bath is a unique experience like this, and the spa area is very nice as well.

I can definitely see myself going back here another time. And I believe that when covid is not around, it will be even nicer to stay here. But I must say that they followed the guidelines and made everyone feel safe at breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The rooms are nicely decorated and feature everything you could possibly need for a nice vacation.

The Arctic Bath is a beautiful property down the hill just outside Harads.

The rooms are very well appointed, the land suites being a bit larger than the water suites. The rooms are clean and warm and the property is really unique being built around a stunning structure in the water. In the main building there is a FANTASTIC restaurant, excellent spa including hot tubs, saunas and a (very cold) plunge pool built into the river. The activities offered were fantastic, we did the ice dining with Robert and then the ski mobiling with Magnus who was fab! We loved hearing all his stories about life in Swedish Lapland and he made us feel very safe and secure despite it being our first time on a snow mobile!

Whilst the facilities were excellent, what truly made our visit was the staff. They were so warm, friendly and hospitable. They were always on hand to provide anything you needed. A particular shout out has to go to Margarida who worked so tirelessly to get our activities sorted even though I was very late in reserving them!

Amazing spa in secluded Sweden. Se stayed for my sister's birthday and it was quite memorable. Well worth the journey to get there. The water cabins are clean and cozy with nice amenities. Upon arrival you are given nice robes, swimwear and sandals. The water is invigorating and the saunas provide relief from the chilly water. The food is so fantastic, you truly need to experience it to understand what I mean.
Everything is fresh and tasty. The staff is available and attentive. The massage therapist was very good and I highly recommend booking a treatment for yourself.
