All the tree houses are spectacular. We stayed in the cabin, which was incredible. We were high up in a tree (access via a ramp) which gave great views. It was a bit of a trek from the reception to the rooms, but it was worth it when you got there. It was so peaceful and tranquil in the room, and we had a big snow fall while we were there which gave the forest a feeling of Narnia. The food was fantastic, our meal was moose which was delicious. The only criticism was the cost of the wine, of which the cheapest bottle of red was about £100.

The hotel and environment are very unique. Me and my husband booked Tree hotel for three days in December. We were both very excited to try this experience but unfortunately for the price they charge I don’t think it keeps the excellent standard. We loved the environment and it was very cozy to sleep in the Cabin (it was my favorite one). But what we didn’t like was there is not a regular toilet, many of the rooms doesn’t have shower and you don’t feel comfortable. This we took for granted when we booked and I even spoke 3 times with different staff at the hotel before I booked, no one mentioned this.. The bedding was scratchy and the sheets had old hair on which I really dislike. Especially when you pay 600$ per night. The service is not so great either and you have to carry most of your bags yourself. Something we really loved was the food. I think that was the most “top” of this trip.

We stayed in the cabin, wonderful views across the autumn trees to the river. The room was cozy and it was great to lie in bed and watch the wildlife in the trees. The main hotel area Is quirky ( 1950,s ) We are in the restaurant and had great local foods served each night.our waitress was warm and friendly as was the young man who was on reception most mornings. We hiked the local area which gave stunning views. We paid for a guided day trip to the rapids, which are stunning and had lunch cooked over an open fire, however at £500 for 2 people this was ridiculously expensive and overall not value for money.

Tree rooms are cool we stayed in the cabin which had a great view and reasonably easy access compared to some of the others. However we also stayed in the guest house which is weird and creepy. It used to be a old peoples home and for some reason it’s been kept like that as if that’s an appealing theme . Food nice but impossible to enjoy surrounded by the smell of foisty old books and net curtains, pictures of Jesus next to modern day pornographic magazines?! Very strange. It needs gutting and redoing so it has some continuity to the tree houses. I wish I’d stayed at the artic bath which seemed really modern throughout.

Really special experience living in a top modern apartment far up in the trees. Beautiful sunrises, northern light, snow scooters and walking in the woods with snow shoes and then eating lunch over an open fire with an excellent guide who taught us much, finalizing with sauna and nice dinner. What else can you ask from life!

My wife and I spent two nights in the Mirror Cube in mid January. The check was smooth thanks to Jurgen and our cases had been delivered to the cube. We arrived late afternoon and the walk from the main house to our room was magical. We found the cube to be warm, cosy and the sleeping area particularly snug. We had dinner in our “private” dining room and experienced a delicious meal of local produce. The following day we were taken on a snowmobile trip with Tobias. This was a wonderful morning driving through the forests and having coffee made over an open fire. The evening was special as had a Dining on Ice meal in a Sami teepee again thanks to Tobias our chef. A wonderful two nights spent in wonderful surroundings and cared for by kind and attentive staff. Five star.

We stayed at the Treehotel for 3 nights in December, 2021. This was simply one of the best hotel experiences we have had. We stayed in the 7th room -- which was really nice--very comfortable and nice views. We had breakfast and dinner each day we were there and the food was outstanding. Our meals were served in our own small dining room in the main lodge building. The staff were accommodating to any request. We went on a snowmobile tour with Michael one morning--Lots of fun. We were scheduled to go snowshoeing that same afternoon but our scheduled guide called and alerted the staff that he was not feeling well. They got in touch with Michael and he filled in by taking us to his small cabin by a private lake and helped us try out snowshoeing---another great experience. We were left with the impression that the staff and owners of the Treehotel would do everything they could to make our stay with them special. They certainly succeeded in doing that!

I’ll start with the positive (and the obvious) …. This property is super unique and the ‘rooms’ are super cool. We stayed in the 7th room and loved the design, size & view and the fact that it had a shower in the unit. Unfortunately this was ruined by poor management and service. When we first arrived, they tell you to walk to your room. Now we had just gotten off of a very long journey from the US so we weren’t prepared for the weather. It was -12 degrees out, dark and we had a 10 minute walk to our room which we had no idea where it was. Needless to say we froze on the walk. Then when we get to our room, the girl with our luggage is waiting at the bottom as the elevator is broken. So now we need to carry 3 large bags up a lot of flight of stairs. When we get to the room, the phone doesn’t work. This is important as we can’t get the heaters to work and can’t call them. When we go to the restaurant that night for dinner I let them know our heater isn’t working. They say they will fix it … it was never fixed and no one communicated with us about it. Overall the service was very rude and unfriendly the whole time. Also the food was just mediocre and when they prepared our breakfasts for an outing I got a meat sandwich as a vegetarian. It’s a shame that the owners of this place don’t put more effort into the service and you would think it would be 5 stars with an over $1.5K USD price tag a night.

Rooms are great as well as prices; you are paying for a unique experience so that's ok. The service is extremely poor and unprofessional; it does not matter what time you are looking for someone in the reception...you will never find anyone. The overall services are not adequate to a standard you would expect in such a location. Restaurant is good but unreasonable expensive and with a vintage look that does not fit at all with the hotel concept. Lastly the "Alpaca Farm" is nice but definitely not a farm.

The 7 rooms in the trees are really fantastic. What the architects have created here is absolutely inspirational and worth a visit. The problem is the unprofessional management of the place and the resulting poor service delivery. Perhaps they have been very spoiled in the past and have not realised or forgotten what guests expect at this very high price level. We’re not even talking about luxury wishes but simple things like a functioning toilet with enough toilet paper or that dishes are cleared within a reasonable time after the guest has finished her/his dinner! We booked the 7th room for 4 nights at roughly 1’500.-USD/night. Upon arrival the coffee machine had rotten milky water in it and the toilet was not emptied before we arrived (it’s an incineration system and the ashes have to be emptied after a certain time) so we could not use it until the next morning even though we had informed the staff that a warning signal had appeared before dinner. There was a number you could call but nobody ever answered, even during the official opening hours. Imagine if there had been an emergency at one of the houses! The main building where you have dinner & breakfast has not been renovated or updated since the 50ies I would say, which might have its charm but at USD 1’500.-/ night is not really what you want. There was one very helpful and competent staff member called Jürgen, who made a massive effort and really tried to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The rest of the team was inexperienced and tried but were just not trained properly. On the second day the houskeeping forgot to refill the toilet paper - not ideal for a family of five sharing one toilet. On the third night we were served exactly the same meal (there is only one menu with no choices to be made) as on the first night – including an ingredient, I told them I was allergic to, on the first night. That night we booked the sauna/jacuzzi package (we tried since our arrival to get a spot). When we arrived after dinner, we found it in a total mess with empty beer bottles all over the place and wet towels, etc. lying around – this in Corona times! Things can undoubtedly go wrong anywhere and the odd mistake is obviously easily forgiven but what was happening here was just consistently poor service. To be fair we confronted the owner on the third morning. He did not get defensive or anything and he was mildly apologetic but that was about it. We at least got a new menu that night, which btw was delicious ;-). The morning after our 4th night and our departure, nobody was there to let us check out and pay or to say goodbye, even after we asked for it at breakfast. Basics. Last but not least even the bill was full of errors, overcharging for activities and not applying any discount for children’s activities although advertised on their website. The 4 days cost us roughly USD 10’000.- for a family with 3 children! We left the key on the desk of the owner and sent an email asking for the bill. Honestly, a massive disappointment, especially after we had spoken to the owner the day before. We wish the place good luck and really hope they start understanding that there is competition out there – check out the Arctic Bath Resort or the hotel at Storforsen. If you charge these kind of prices its just not enough to have a nice tree house (with IKEA furniture!) and an old house where the same meal is served every second night and the breakfast is exactly the same each day. At the very least basics have to be dramatically improved. At this price level a guest should certainly not be left so terribly disappointed.
