Having first been to Brandon Lodge we went here for one night before travelling North to Abisko. We stayed in "the Cabin" which like others had a ten minute walk from the main lodge. I would recommend spikes in winter as the paths and ramps can be very slippery. The cabin is accessed by a ramp and has a patio...

Must do. Each treehouse is unique n has its own charm. Our kids chose UFO and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Though note with a narrow ladder, u can only take limited stuff up the room. N it's quite a walk to the main house. Sauna n shower r in a separate building, centrally located near the cabins. Serene surroundings. Great...

This is truly a one of a kind hotel experience. There are only 7 unique rooms, all suspended in the trees, oriented for spectacular views. Five of the 7 are small, without in room plumbing, and the other two are larger, with an included bathroom and shower. Some of the rooms have ramps for easy access, while e of them...

When we decided to go to Sweden to visit friends, we had no idea we would be within an hour drive of one of the coolest most unusual hotels in the world. The owners are amazing, and speak English very well, and are very accommodating and make the best meals. The property is very secluded and it does require a...

We arrived with our three kiddies (9, 6 and 4 - their ages, not names!) to stay for one night in the UFO room. What a magical place this is, from the olde worlde guest house, where we could leave our main luggage, and also had our dinners and breakfast at, to the enchanting walk into the forest to see...

Arrived at a quaint old wooden building and shown a map to the nearby tree houses. A walk of about ten minutes through the woods and suddenly you are surrounded by incredible structures suspended and built in the tree tops. At the back was our destination, a UFO. Arriving in the snow covered dark, lit only by a few lights...

Kent and Britta have created something truly special here that is like nothing else you will have tried and is a testament to clever thinking and determination. We have just returned from a fantastic week in Sweden spending the last 2 nights at the Treehotel. We stayed in the new 7th room suspended 10m above the forest floor on our...

This was the highlight of our Scandinavian holiday. It is everything you could want in a holiday escapade... creativity, fun, beauty, food, adventure...totally inspiring! Honestly, as I pushed the family into the squashed taxi after a long flight, I began to doubt my choice, what would we do in the dark at minus 23 degrees half way up a tree...

We were excited about our four night visit to the Treehotel, not simply because of the amazing architecture and setting, but because it was our first experience of staying in a snowy landscape. We flew into Lulea and were picked up in a taxi (organised by the hotel) and driven to Harads which was about an hour away. We were...
