I stayed for 4 nights with friends and we all enjoyed every minute of the trip, what a magical memorable place this is! We were looking into extending our trip but some of the people in the group found it impossible so we all decided to return during the winter months a second time. The hotel is amazing and the price is pretty cheap compared to others in the area, its what I would call a steal for staying in paradise. We walked everywhere and ate at lots of great places nearby. I look forward to making more memories here before the end of the year.

Fine hotel experience, but the hotel charged us twice for the stay. I contacted them with proof from my bank account, but they simply rejected it. I have tried to contact them a few more times after but now they are not responding anymore. I am now in contact with the bank and the police, who will take this further.. I did not expect problems like this with such a hotel.

Only one word comes to mind at this stunning place: heaven. To start this hotel is beautiful!!!!! and the staff is ready and also willing to help with anything you want from the moment we walked in to each time we left for dinner and came back and then finally to checkout, someone was by our side to help or just smile. The food was the best and the beach was amazing one of the most beautiful on earh i think.

From the moment we arrived we felt like we chilled out and decompressed. Warm welcome from front desk staff and the room was great. Lot's of character with laid back Mexican feel and a rustic look. Good bed, great air con and good sized bathroom. Liked the stone basin. Food excellent and drinks also great. The barmen liked to suggest a different cocktail for us to try most days and they were always spot on! The outside space is what Holbox is all about and the palm trees and green plants all over the property are fabulous to enjoy and give it a lush sort of feel. Swimming pool was spotless and the amazing beach is right outside. The town is a nice walk away or if you hire a golf cart a short ride away. Definitely a special place and somewhere we'd say everyone should try once.

I chose this hotel based on all of the fantastic reviews but was rather disappointed. Most of the staff were pretty rude here with the exception of Giovanni, Carlos and the two gentlemen that worked in the lobby bar. I purchased the All-Inclusive package for my family and I. It was difficult to get a drink and took forever each time and the bar staff always made us feel like we were putting them out for ordering a drink in the first place. Our room was terrible. The floor was actually rotten and caving in in a large area in the entry way. Everyone was afraid to walk near or around the sink and bathroom because we thought we were going to fall through. Maybe we got a crappy room because I booked on Travelocity but when I called the hotel to book directly a lady rudely told me “we don’t take reservations over the phone”. That should have been my first sign to look elsewhere. I tried booking online directly on the hotel website as well with no success after several tries, so had to go the Travelocity route. The snack bar food that we ordered was the best, especially the nachos. They were the best nachos I had ever had. The lunch and dinner buffets were OK. If you are used to your typical All-Inclusive resort where you can order a drink and get it in a timely manner and it actually be tasty and enjoyable, then do not choose this resort. The drinks were terrible so I ended up just drinking draft beer. I am glad so many other people had such fantastic experiences at this resort and with the staff, but I definitely would not return.

Wonderful place to visit and unlike any other destination we've been. Felt so authentic. This hotel was perfect for us as a couple. Welcoming staff and quick check in. A guy helped us with our bags and the room was spotless and very comfortable. Good bed, shower and nice balcony with a bit of a sea view. The buffet food was a high standard with everything you could think of. We ate a lot! Loved the location on the beach and it's away from the town centre but close enough to walk to. Spent most days relaxing either on the beach or by the pool with a drink. Fantastic!

We had an amazing time here - found the location excellent and it was nice to be on the quieter end of the beach but only 10 minutes by foot to the bars and restaurants Good number of sun beds on the beach although you need to get down there early as we found people tended to reserve the beds - although this is not meant to be allowed Breakfast was delicious with a range of Mexican and continental options Fresh selection of fruit daily was a highlight for us We had a junior suite with a garden view which was really large - with a comfortable bed This would be a 5/5 review with a few minor adjustments - if the ac had been easier to control and the bathroom had been modernised (toilet cistern very slow to fill) and the mini fridge quieter! Overall - the staff were lovely, couldn’t do enough for us, service was excellent and most spoke English or enough for us to get by Holbox is beautiful and our stay here was so relaxing Would also recommend a trip to the spa for a deep tissue massage - one of the best I’ve had!

When I write a review, I normally expose what I think might be helpful for the next visitor....I don't have to with Villas HM Paraiso del Mar. I loved everything about it. My two bedroom Junior suite, was really a one bed room TREEHOUSE. No joke. After a quick check in, Mr. Alonso Aleman had the bellman got me a welcome drink (Melons and cucumber?) I was placed in Villa 119. Just a short walk from the lobby, and up the winding staircase.... The porch is wrap around, and SO quiet. I decided to rest for a moment and the beds are extra comfy. The shower is walk in. The AC was most welcome about 3PM. The TV is large and great sound- I really enjoy soccer... thank goodness- that's what was on. I was able to recall my Netflix password, so had that too. You can see the beach, but you won't hear the shenanigans after dark. The first night we were there, we walked to a place for dinner ( no cars here ), and there are many. My Packing: Undies, PJ's, Bathing suit, sundress, sunglasses, sunscreen, book flip flops and hat. Your phone will not work, so just forget it. Please take a little $$ to the beach. The vendors have adorable handmade things we saw no where else. Now...lets get down to the basics...You already know this DONT DRINK THE WATER. Don't forget and brush your teeth or smile in the shower. Ice is OK in your drink, Its been filtered. Eat fruit you can peel. I had a little sand in my suitcase when I got home... Memories? YES! Dust off that passport...Don't miss this place.

I want to say a heartfelt thank you to all the staff at HM Villas Paraiso for making our special trip unforgettable. I worked endlessly with the concierge before arrival and the staff once I was there to pull off a couple of surprises for this special occasion, and no ask was too great for them, I was constantly met with a warm smile and great disposition, again, thank you. Other that this, the grounds of the hotel are nicely kept, the hotel matches its photos online, we enjoyed the beach, area, local spots for dining, food, and more.
