Initially, I had tried to get into the #1 rated property but they were booked. We settled for Casa Las Tortugas. Both properties are adjacent to one another and I thought Casa Las Tortugas was by far the preferred location. We were in the Colibri room which was a little small but had a nice balcony with a restricted view...

First, this hotel was so amazingly cute and thought out and the staff was fabulous and helpful. The reason I gave it a lower rating (I would have loved the option of 3.5 stars) is probably the reason that others would give it a high rating - let me explain. I have two young boys and it just felt too...

This small, beachfront boutique hotel checks off all the features of a great hotel: close to town; uniquely decorated, spotlessly clean rooms; accommodating, friendly staff; beautiful, warm pool and a fantastic restaurant that serves delicious food using the freshest ingredients. Casa las Tortugas is the polar opposite of the ubiquitous, glitzy resorts in Cancun and Playa. Beautiful Mexican tiles decorate...

This was my first trip to Holbox Island and it was truly fantastic. Casa las Tortugas is the best place on the island to stay. My room Nopal was so nice and extremely comfortable. The decor was amazing. The service was exceptional and the staff attentive and friendly. The restaurant served amazing food, and drinks. They even served you on...

Four of us enjoyed a week long stay at Casa Las Tortugas in February. My wife and I had a poolside room (Azucar) while my son and his partner had an ocean view room. Guests at the hotel enjoy a complimentary breakfast each morning. You are given a choice of a fruit plate with yogurt and granola. Toast and a...

We loved this hotel and everything about it - the rooms are comfortable, serene and well decorated with a/c and just steps from the beach. It's a laid-back, island feel with a great location and the most serene beach, fresh food and nice staff. We will definitely be going back!

Our first visit to Isla Holbox and Casa las Tortugas------just a wonderful laid-back island and small hotel. Attentative staff, good food (hotel and on the island) encapsulated in a charming environment. Will plan to return.......as soon as we can be assured that the booming base "music" from the adjoining bar has been eliminated----it was somewhat annoying during the day while...

This was our second visit to Casa Las Tortugas and the hotel did not disappoint. The breakfast was a treat with two delicious options, plus fresh baked bread and jam. The details and decor around the hotel are immaculate. The beach & pool area were perfect for lounging and relaxing. I booked a treatment at the spa and it was...

Nice hotel, good location great breakfast. The room was nice, the breakfast was tasty, and the service was fine. We enjoyed our stay. Further down the beach might have been quiteer but the noise from the bar down the beach was tolerable. Go you will love it

My wife and I stayed in a beach front room on ground level. It was a perfect room and perfect location. There was always beach seating available any time of day. The hotel is beautiful and especially so at night. It's small at around 20 rooms. Great staff at every position, Vielka, Hernan, Julio and Emma all very fun. Breakfast...
