This historic home was built in 1915 by local merchant Parmenus Orr and retains much of the original ambiance through thoughtful renovations, hardwood floors and period furnishings. Many of the family's original furnishings, antiques, photographs and oil paintings, painted by Orr family descendants, hang proudly on our walls. Inn has just sold. Off property new owners haven't figured it out yet. A key and note at the door was our 'welcome' with a phone # to call with questions... which we did but got an answering machine (and a call back 5 hours later when in bed at 9:20 pm!) Innkeeper didn't

From the outside the Home Place Inn looks a lovely place to stay. However, the owner is only accessible via phone who then calls her daughter on site to deal with any issues. The room was nice with a large bathroom. However, it appeared that the bedding had not been changed

Super nice people, great rooms, and a breakfast to die for. B&B is right in town, close walk to everything. The breakfast was incredible, and powered several hours of cycling! If coming by bike it is less than 300 m from the Confederation Trail.
